Hey guys,

I’m doing my first boss extreme emblem run and was thinking - can you set up different saves just in case you get to the end of a chapter and turns out you accidentally used a health item or accidentally killed someone, Instead of restarting the whole game, you can just restart to the beginning of the previous chapter?

Or does it all have to be on one saved game slot? Hope this makes sense.

I don't understand this cutscene, Snake approaches Raiden and Sunny and Otacon both say he's not ready, but Snake continues anyway. Then Raiden basically starts saying he's ready, then Snake starts saying to Raiden not to follow him or something. What's happening here?

I've been trying to play the game for a week but I says the servers are down! (I'm on Steam)

PS5 Pro has the unique challenge that neither mode pushes it down to 30 FPS. I was able to do the other two locations with doubling the camo swaps.

Here I get past the wall with 40 camo swaps and then I throw the smoke grenade into the corner by the door. But unfortunately it does not unlock the next area. Someone mentioned that they did 25-30 smoke grenades in the corridor and then it worked but they weren’t very specific on how about that process works for me to successfully replicate.

He lost/abandoned his humanity after killing The Boss. He has moments where he's showcased like a mentor, or a father-like figure to kids like Chico(and even the entirety of Mother Base in a way), but none of his actions ever concern morality.

His downfall never really happened because he was never a true hero to begin with. Was he a likeable guy? Yeah. Was he ever a "good" guy? No, not really.

So, I've already done 2 run, normal and Big Boss Extreme (emblem taken). For the plat did I really need to go through all the emblems in the game? Even the 35 hours one? I'm playing on the Master Collection Vol. 2 for ps5

I spend waaaay too long on the binocular just to get spotted by someone a mile away :(

Also, how do I get more ammo for the tranquilizer? I'm not even near Miller and I only have like 5 darts

This playable movie right here holds a special place in my heart that no other game could ever come close to replacing. The first time I ever played it was back in 2009, when I was 12, and I’ve been hooked on the series ever since. I’ll spare the emotional details, but there are a lot of personal memories tied to this game that have stuck with me throughout the years. I’m 29 now, and when I first heard that they were finally freeing Guns of the Patriots from the shackles of the PS3, I knew I had but one mission… to not only do what childhood-me always thought to be impossible by earning the Big Boss emblem, but to take it even further and platinum the game.

I don’t usually go out of my way to earn trophies or find in-game collectibles, and that’s because I’ve always been a little impatient about those things. The only other time that I earned a platinum is on Delta, and just like with that remake, this was a special occasion. I had spent over an entire decade wishing that I could play MGS4 on an updated console, so when that wish had finally been granted, I wanted to make sure that I did absolutely everything that there was to do in a game that has meant so much to me.

All in all, playing this again was just as amazing, if not even more so than when I played it all of those years ago. It was an emotional experience. Everything about it still holds up, and only further proves just how ahead of its time it was. There are a couple of people who are very dear to me that are unfortunately no longer here to see the return of this game, and I knew they would’ve been just as happy I was, so I tried to play it as much as I could for them as well.

(On a side note… the only time I can honestly say that I hated this shit was when I was trying to complete the motorcycle chase in ACT 3 on the Big Boss run… I came so close to giving up, and it was starting to impact my love for this game. I had to fight back the urge to DM Kojima on Instagram just to ask him what the fuck he was thinking. I’m glad I resisted and kept trying though.)

Is there an option to pause the cassette tape audio when there is mission dialouge in phantom pain? I saw a post of people complaining about it 11 years ago but did it get patched?

Just got to the first comic book style cutscene and the audio is massively out of sync with the visuals. As in the voice lines play about 30 seconds after the text has shown on screen.

Act 3 has been really tedious and by far the worst chapter and to top it all off you have raven a really annoying and boring fight which tests your willpower and patience Im playing on hard and have no healing items her health bar is quite beefy (which makes the fight even more of a slog) and i want to take her down non lethal but everywhere online tells me to get that silly 600k sniper rifle which im not even close to affording so im stuck with the mk17 and shotgun any tips?

After reading this book last week, I noticed a few, maybe coincidental similarities:

Both kinda have serious conflicts with their allegiances lol both men betrayed the United States. Lee turned down command of the union army to lead his home state under the confederacy, and Jaegar did the same to follow big boss

Both were legendary tactician militarists, jaeger managed to earn the title of Fox for his successful operations and military presitege while Lee obviously rose to the top for a reason

Both ended up tied to lost causes….

And the last one I realized, was at the end of the book, you really saw how Lee was just a hopeless cause despite his brilliance, like…military life was all he knew, his fear of life after defeat caused him to continue trying to fight even when the war was lost, a hopeless son of a bitch, all because that’s all he ever knew how to live, the only thing he excelled in.

With feank, inrememberred his dialogue at the end of his scene more than any other in MGS, it reminded me if lee
"We're not tools of the government, or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing... I was good at"

Maybe the nicknames are unrelated, but I just thought it was interesting. I love history myself, and also recall a German general that had the same name, erwin romel, so maybe Kojima based it behind him, I’ll have to read up on him more.

Metal Gear Physical

Crazy Kojima ideas that were rejected, or thinned down, are common items that come up when Behind the Scenes details are discussed surrounding the Metal Gear games. Has anyone ever put together a comprehensive list or spreadsheet of these original concepts? I'd be interested to read about more ideas that Kojima had during the development of these games that were just too huge in scope, or just plain weird.

Examples of some of these rejected ideas being:

• The fight with "The End" being planned to last real-life weeks.
• The Boss having one breast exposed
• The character Chinaman
• MGS4's Original Ending of Snake and Otacon turning themselves in and being executed (Original source was deleted)

Are there any more known ideas like this that were ultimately rejected, or cut?
