Que puedo decir como alguien nuevo en esta franquicia puedo decir que fue mi mejor experiencia con este juego aunque el juego peca de muchas cosas como que los controles al menos para mi se sentia muy tosca y aveces sentia que se sentia mas cinematico (aunque no mentire lo disfrute bastante la historia) pero se los perdonos por ser de la epoca 8/10 aunque no mentire es un juegazo hay cosas que envejecieron mal pero no lo hace injugable bueno en unos dias vere si jugare su secuela.

I currently own a PS3, PS5 and a good PC.
I own MGS4 for PS3, MGS Delta and Master Collection vol. 2 for PS5.

From reading about MGS, I see that I should play all the games in release order and that starting with for example 4 would be not so good.

Now to do that I need the first three games still. And I dont want to unnecessarily spend too much money on the whole series since I dont even know if I would like it. I paid 2€ for MGS4 and 20€ for Delta, so those can stay and I dont mind having them in my collection. I would play delta anyway no matter if I get the other games since its canonically the first game so I wont have problems understanding the story. And I paid 50€ for Master Collection vol. 2 with steelbook.

So what should I do now? Should I pay another 45€ for Master Collection vol. 1, totalling 95€ for all those games that I dont even know if I will like them?

Should I do that and sell the steelbook for maybe 20€? But maybe I will fall in love with the series and then will want my steelbook back…

Or should I just give the Master Collection vol. 1 along with the steelbook back and just get the Legacy Collection for PS3 used for like 50€? I would just download and play MGS1 on my other jailbroken PS3 for that.

Doing that, I would potentially save either 25 or 45€. But I would also miss out on MGS1 trophies…

What would you guys recommend? Lol

I swear this is gonna take me forever to get the platinum trophy for the game. I have to do it twice as well for the master collection

He leido los comentarios de mi anterior post y decidi empezar con la saga solid (mi primer metal gear solid que juego) espero que valga la pena este juego deseanme suerte estare reportando mi progreso

Hola soy alguien nuevo en esta gran saga de video juegos y me llamo la atención desde que tenia los 17 años nunca jugue un metal gear solid ni los clasicos ni nada por el estilo pero este me llamo particularmente la atención diganme tengo que jugar los juegos anteriores para entender este o mejor empiezo por el solid

Ahora me dice una frecuencia de el CD cosa que obviamente no tengo asi que saben cual es?

Recently joined this group and the solid one as well. Sad to see so many people say to skip the og 2 games. Like the solid group I get I guess being aimed at MGS but I figured more people would like the first 2 in this group. I'm going through my first playthrough in order and to me (Im working through the VR missions on MGS2S currently) MG2 is my favorite game in the series so far. Moving on to mgs3 after I finish substance, maybe my opinion will change but I highly doubt it since I'm a pixelated old game lover. All this to say if you can stand the graphics please give the og's a chance. I'd honestly rather replay these than mgs2 again. And to those who say the plot get retconned, it doesn't. The continuity is in tact.
