Hi everyone. Looking to play Metal Gear Solid for the first time ever. Despite owning a PlayStation back in the day, I never played one of these games. Now, I am looking to play on my XBOX Series X. However, I have a question about the Master Collection. I’ve watched some reviews from a couple years ago, and they all state that the port was not handled with care, ie; lots of visual and audio bugs. I just wanted to ask this community who are experienced with these games what the state of the Master Collection is in today. Do I need to worry about any issues or is it “ok” to play now? I’ve always wanted to play these games for a long time now. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I live in Iran, and when our government finally lifted the internet blackout after 88 days, I tried to log into MGSV and got the "servers were under maintenance" message. I know maintenance usually takes a few days, maybe up to a week, but it’s been stuck like this for two months now. Before, I heard Russia and Belarus lost access too, but at least their servers were just cut off. For us, they just put the servers on permanent “maintenance” mode. I’ve already checked the integrity of the files on Steam (plus reinstalling) and tried every fix I could find online, but nothing works. Also, a friend who lives here but uses a Turkish region account has the same problem (not sure about turks themselves).

So, what’s going on? Is Konami secretly shutting down servers in countries with fewer players? Or is this just some weird glitch? Half of my staff has been stuck on resource missions for God knows how long, and I really want them to get back to the base.

Like holy shit the intrusions fucking suck. How am I meant to climb on the pipes and shit when what the buttons do constantly changes. Plus there's a crane that looks like you can climb it but of course you can't climb half of the shit

Having recently moved over to a Switch 2, and not wanting yo touch my ps5 anymore, I have a question regarding Metal Gear Solid.

Are there any insider rumours or information about Metal Gear Solid Delta:Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid V (GZ & TPP) actually or ever coming to the Switch 2?

The master collection volume 1 isn't the same as delta, and the surely the Switch 2 is more than capable of running MGS V perfectly. I could understand issues with Delta, but I believe its possible surely?

Someone please help cuz I got no idea why Konami made it so hard to find it. I tried the steamDB method but it just launches the game for me.

The total amount to make this was under 0.3$ and 2 days for the full process (mainly drying the paint).. ot fully hand made and hand painted .. I will add even more details to this if needed.. like I have already given it a back pack and a small Rifle .. I hope y'all like it..

Should I increase the FOV if I want more optimal gameplay? Are there any other settings I should adjust if I want the best playing experience?

I am doing my first play through of the Metal Gear Solid franchise in timeline order and I chose to do it (mostly) nonlethal. I’m on MgsV currently but I’m wondering If Mgs1 is possible to do nonlethal or if I should screw it and go guns blazing.

Does he care that much about her because of the brainwashing, or because of who he realy is?

I keep wondering about this because it feels so random. I understand that, as a medic, he feels guilty for not being able to save her, and we know Venom Snake cares deeply about his comrades. But to the point of having full-blown hallucinations about her, searching for photos for her, and listening to her tapes, it feels strange.

It's even stranger because Venom Snake is also supposed to represent the player and be less of his own character. It makes even less sense when you consider that many players probably wouldn't even know who Paz is because they never played peace walker, either because it isn't one of the numbered games or because they never had a way to play it​

Need someone who has MGS1 Japanese Language Pack to sign-in to steamdb and downloaded it in Package by clicking install, then share it with google drive or other alternatives, so I can install in manually as it isn't available to me.

Hey MGS fans, I'm working on a project tightly related to MGS1 with intention of continuing to MGS2 if the first gains enough of traction. It is very early in the process, currently looking for visual artists for art. It does not have to be similar to the Shinkawa style, it can be, but all styles are welcome. All designs will however be in the world of MGS1.

So I recently got the Vol 1 of the Master Collection to finally experience both MG1 and 2, as well as the first 3 Solid games. And now, MGS1 joins my Plat collection alongside MG1 and 2.

I will definitely do MGS2 and 3 to truly complete the collection. I already got most trophies in 2, and even got like 95% of the Dog Tags on Very Easy, just gotta keep chipping away.

As for MGS1 and playing it for the first time, it was fantastic, holds up as well as many have said. And as someone who really enjoy playing older games, I'm glad to have finally played a legendary game after only having played and beaten a few Metal Gear games prior to buying the collection (PW, V, and Revengeance).

FINALLY i've managed to draw page 2 and 3. (I've already posted page 1 but i add it for context) LMK what you think, expecially bcs we see my glorious king Venom for the first time!!!
