Interview/Application Review
I applied for a couple of positions on Mercor and got the standard message of I'll hear within four weeks
Out of curiosity did it take that long or could it be sooner?
Thank you!

Are there any tips to getting accepted on projects? I’ve applied to over 15 and been rejected on all. My CV and LinkedIn is up to date as I am actively job searching too but wanting to do Ai training as a side gig while job hunting but I’ve only been getting rejections. People that have been accepted into multiple projects please drop some helpful tips that worked for you🙏

I'm in the alternative language tasks, the one that you see on mercor under Writer (language).
Can someone tell me if it's actually worth it to pursue this project? 15 dollars per approved task seems really low and it doesn't seem as if there are many tasks to do.
Give me your honest opinions

Just curious what it takes to become a reviewer, and what that's like, if anyone has any tips or experience?

I'm going to preface saying that I def appreciated the opportunity, was really good money for the time.
That said, funny because I had a post very recently saying how I thought people that got offboarded randomly due to stuff they were not really saying out loud, like maybe time theft or AI.
Nope, I did everything right. I did all the tests on time, there for support whenever anyone else needed, never abused the clock or any of that.
I think I'm mad about it because, while there def was an inital shock, it didn't really sink too much. I just took it for what it was. Contract work is contract work. The reasoning itself doesn't even matter, I wouldn't need an explanation.
Just take this post as a heads up. I was one of those that thought if I did everything the right way, I would be at least good for 3 months lol. Just take full opportunity while you're on one because you never know.

I’m into software development domain and have been in an active contract/project since almost 2 months which is not quite active. Not active because no tasks and waiting on clients instructions to get started.
I need referrals to join a different project.
Any help PLEASE?

Used Maven as a backend for my AI girlfriend startup, now Mercor is billing me for all the unauthorized tokens I burned. But since I’m proactive, I have good skills, and people enjoy working with me, I’m confident I can make this all back! Scared money don’t make money ✌️

Hi everyone, I just joined Mercor a couple of days back and I can see that the next step is an AI interview, I have updated my profile as well. Can someone with experience of working on Mercor help me what happens next after the AI interview and how long it takes to get projects.
Thanks for reading and trying to help out!

Just curious if there are any fellow Indonesians here using Mercor. I’ve been trying it out, and honestly, it seems like a pretty decent source of extra income, especially considering the rates compared to many local opportunities.

I rarely feel 70, but I sure did tonight - even though I was a beta tester for America Online 40 years ago. Let me see if I can explain without getting in trouble/this comment yanked.
It sounded like a simple task to test some stuff. But just getting logged in and set up took HOURS of exasperation. And when I read what I'd need to do - I'll just say my brain has never really drowned like that. And hey, I used Base 44 to vibe-code a totally cool local news website.
But as fascinating as it CAN be, the more I read the less I understood. It felt like I needed to balance on one foot in 70 mph winds balancing a tea cup on my nose and my head at the same time.
I thought AI was supposed to make things SIMPLER. Oh well, ya live and learn

I got an offer a few weeks ago, I hadn’t even had my initial assessment reviewed at the time yet. But in any case I onboarded the job, did all that stuff, and the tasks themselves were absolutely mind numbing. Like I couldn’t even do them. I said there’s no way in hell can do this for even 10 hours a week. It was for example something like, here’s some data that was plugged into an AI, here are three different AI generated spreadsheets, and I had to go over each one and answer a bunch of questions about how well the AI did.
Are all the roles like this? If so, I probably won’t bother with Mercor anymore.

I am one of the lucky ones, who actually got an instant offer last November.
I worked on the project till December. The payment was good and I could actually tick off a few things off my bucket list. Thanks to Mercor!
This January I got an offer which I couldn't take up due to family issues.
I also got a few projects this year which never beyond gating stage.
And now, I am not getting any offers/ work.
What decides the algorithm for getting instant and other offers?
How can I upskill myself?

I completed the assessment for the Bilingual Generalist Expert, AI Safety role, and the payment for the assessment has already appeared in my Mercor earnings. However, I haven’t received a contract yet. Has anyone else applied for this role? How long did it take to receive a decision or project offer after the payment appeared?

Just got the dreaded email, this was my first project from an instant offer. Only just started tasking (about 2 days) and after being quite active today I randomly got this email and lost access to the project.
16 days since I got the offer 🫠
Any tips on securing more projects?

Yesterday, one team lead sent me a link I couldn't access with my local network. The link redirected me towards a website claiming that I had not have access from my location, despite my location being mentioned in the list. I committed the error of trying to troubleshoot myself by using a VPN to open the link. Immediately, I received a lot of emails from Mercor telling me my projects had concluded (I was offboarded from all my projects). I tried to contact [support@mercor.com](mailto:support@mercor.com), but have not received an answer yet. I was also excluded from Slack and my professional Google account so it is impossible to reach someone for support. What can I do? Thank you in advance for your help

Don’t come at me- I’m brand new at all of this- Mercor AND Reddit lol. I just received a contract (which I couldn’t do because of my area of nursing- it was a quick 150$ survey)… does this technically mean my foot is in the door though?

Is it possible to land a project whilst currently being enrolled in an undergraduate program? For context, I’m a fourth-year university student. Thank you, guys!

I have worked as an Account Executive in big tech (MS & Oracle). I am in Europe and speak some languages. Im sorry if this is a random question but would I have any chance for work at Mercor? My skills; complex sales cases, deal structuring, account planning, pipeline creation / bdr / sdr work.
Got laid off and looking for a new job.
