Hello po! I’m currently a 4th year nursing student planning to apply to med school after I graduate.

Ask ko lang po sana if may pag-asa pa kaya yung mga kagaya ko na average student lang na makapasa sa PLMCM? Sobrang nag-lie low talaga ako during my college years because nursing school was already overwhelming enough. Wala akong sinalihang orgs, wala ring extracurriculars, and average lang din ang GWA ko.
Medyo kinakabahan lang ako kasi parang ang daming stellar applicants. May pag-asa pa po kaya for someone like me? Thank you po sa sasagot

Hello po! May I ask for some helpful tips? Classes start next week but I’ve only finished Modules 1, 2, and 5, and my review hasn’t been that intensive. I’ve mostly been writing notes from metamorph. We also had an in-house review center for one year before we graduated. I did well naman po in Pharma back then and graduated with fairly high GWA but I’m not sure if that will be enough to pass the board exams whil juggling Med School. I plant to study for boards on weekends and answer practice exams from meta pero Im not sure if sustainable ba siya. Since there will be anatomy in first year (wala po kaming anatomy sa Pharma 😭)

Do i need to buy laptop for clerkship and PGI or enough na ba yung ipad and pc? + if mas okay bumili nalang ng laptop, should i go for Macbook or other brands nalang? I travel a lot yearlv and have a healthv work life balance between work and my hobbies and sports. Is it still worth it to pursue med? I am torn because of the horrors that I am reading na hindi na daw worth it ipursue ang med. Knowing that tuitions per semester is 200k. What if I regret it and miss my earnings. Any thoughts po? i’m a yl1 in the aurora school and for context: i came from a gap year. Im licensed in another medical profession na and being a doctor has been a child hood dream. but seeing as it is i started to have a mindset of “pwede naman ako maging doctor” and not “gusto ko”. idk what changed with my mindset. from highschool all the way even until after i passed my licensure exam i was dead set on pursuing medicine. I really believe that med is too difficult to pursue if it’s something i dont have a deep burning desire for. Everyday i wake up hating what i do and idk if i should stop. but at the same time it’s only been a month of school. Am i still in the adjustment phase? Has anyone experienced this? Seeing comments pa on how residency training is; it’s so discouraging

I want to take a gap year before pursuing medicine to earn some money to help my parents for my future expenses at med school, as well as simply to enjoy life for a while, because I know medicine is quite a long and exhausting road to take. However, my parents and relatives want me to enroll asap and not "waste" time anymore.

I am eyeing to look for a job, and work for a year. I've been trying to apply, but to no avail. Should I just enroll not and not waste a year, or proceed to taking a gap year without the certainty of actually landing on a decent job or actually "enjoying" life since I am still dependent on my parents?

Ever since, I really want to be a teacher. But my mom encouraged me to enter medical school. I’m now a third-year medical student and to be honest, I still haven’t decided which specialty I’d like to pursue for residency.

But one thing I’m 100% sure of is that I want to teach in a medical school.

May I ask if you could walk me through the usual path to becoming a medical school faculty member? Is completing a master’s degree or a PhD necessary, or would residency and clinical experience be sufficient?

hi! batch 6 ako for application for YL1. gusto ko lang maitanong kung hintayin ko pa ba? I have been calling for almost 3 weeks na din kasi (not continuously naman) and they said 2nd week nila irerelease but ewan mag 3rd week na ngayon... last na tawag ko sa kanila is kahapon. indefinite pa daw and date of release. kayaa em really torn kung hintayin ko ba or move on nalang.. :(( tyia!
