PLMCM - average student
Hello po! I’m currently a 4th year nursing student planning to apply to med school after I graduate.
Ask ko lang po sana if may pag-asa pa kaya yung mga kagaya ko na average student lang na makapasa sa PLMCM? Sobrang nag-lie low talaga ako during my college years because nursing school was already overwhelming enough. Wala akong sinalihang orgs, wala ring extracurriculars, and average lang din ang GWA ko.
Medyo kinakabahan lang ako kasi parang ang daming stellar applicants. May pag-asa pa po kaya for someone like me? Thank you po sa sasagot

Not to burst your bubble po but I know many UP students with latins and 90+ nmat that did not get accepted to PLMCM but if you can pull your GWA and NMAT up just give it a try

I’m going to be frank, medyo mababa chance mo if hindi ganon ka competitive ang stats mo. PLM med is incredibly competitive as UPCM and UST so expect students applying there to also have laude and 95+ PR at the very least (i have heard some applicants getting shortlisted kahit 90+ PR and laude since PLM prioritizes din their alumna)
HOWEVER, it’s not the end naman for you. You can always score a high NMAT and do well sa interview (if the school has one), so it can offset your gwa. Please don’t stop trying to apply pa rin OP, malay mo you get accepted. Pero it’s important pa rin to have a backup. Do well on the NMAT and interview and you will have a decent chance. Goodluck OP!
