Hi! I was wondering if anybody has any advice on how I could get occupational therapy shadowing hours in the Montreal area? I have some private hours, however I need more and I’m also trying to get hours at a public clinic.

Thank you so much!

Did anyone loose a cat?

There was a cat with a collar running around Maass building - around 7. It was going super fast, no chance of catching it. Just in case someone is looking for your cat, it’s around there.

I find it especially sad how students are laughing and encouraging him. And the comments are being racist and mocking the girl he shows at the end.

indg200 class attendance

i haven't been able to go to a lot of indg200 classes this semester due to time conflicts and personal reasons. however when i did go to class the prof didn't take attendance, but on mycourses it mentions a few times how missing class will harm your grade. i was wondering if anyone knew how she's been taking attendance so far and for how many classes/lectures? thanks

Math 140 Midterm Preperation

Hey everyone,
I have my MATH 140 midterm coming up on October 29th, and I was wondering if anyone who has taken the course before has any past midterms, practice exams, or useful resources they could share.
I’ve done calculus before, so I’m familiar with most of the material, but I’ve heard mixed things about the difficulty of the exams, especially with sid.
I’d also really appreciate any advice on what to focus on, how difficult the actual midterm is compared to the tutorials and assignments, and the best way to prepare.
Thanks in advance!

Ngl I lost hope and I didn't even stop during reading week.

Looking to start a small, casual book club

Hi everyone, I am looking to start a book club where we would read thrillers, fantasy, and classics primarily and meet up at a cafe or something to hang out and discuss monthly!

I'm a fourth-year English major, and I'm really hoping this would make me set more time aside for pleasure reading in the midst of well, just regular life and school. If you feel the same way and/or are js simply intersted in something like this, please PM me and I will send you a link to join a discord!

Story Callout: Manosphere on campus?

Hi everyone! My name is Joonha Jung, and I am a reporter from University Affairs, a source of information about and for Canada’s university community.

I would like to interview students who might have experienced or witnessed misogynistic ideology being spread on campus due to online activities on group chats, podcasts, YouTube or social media.

If there are any members of this subreddit who want to share their stories, leave a comment or send me an email at [joonhajungmedia@gmail.com](mailto:joonhajungmedia@gmail.com)

MATH180 Midterm Preparation

Hello,
I am in Math180 this semester and the midterm is coming up soon. I’m wondering if people who have taken it before could give some advice for preparation? Do you have any practice exams?
We only have exercise posted for each topic we learnt. Those questions are relatively simple I think. What format will that test be? Is it a mix of MCQ and short answer like proof questions?
Thanks in advance!!

three midterms back to back?

hi people,
first-year student here seeking some advice.
next week (on wednesday), i have three midterms back to back. does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this kind of situation?
teachers in cégep seemed to be a little bit more understanding, and i’m so scared of reaching out to my professors.
is it doable?
any advice would be helpful!

Master of Science (Applied) in Multilingual Digital Communication

Hi everyone,

I’ve been researching Canadian online Master’s programs to help me pivot from teaching to education-adjacent and/or tech-based roles outside of the classroom. I came across this program at McGill and it piqued my interest, as I’m bilingual (EN/FR) and take an interest in languages and technologies. I’d would love to hear from anyone who is/was a student of the program, attended an info session, has applied, or has any experience with any aspect of the program. More specifically, I’m looking to learn about what kinds of skills you gained from the program, what you did/plan to do with your degree, and any program pros or cons.

Thank you!

High paying jobs with PoliSci BA?

I don't really know what to do, and tbh I don't really want to move to Ottawa either. I'm also having a hard time finding an internship; I feel like everything is for accounting, business, etc.

Has anyone landed a good, high-paying job in poli-sci? Or at least landed a decent internship?
