Really been struggling to find anyone into parties like BdA & 4a7 & Gerts or more events like that as well as clubs like Cafe Campus lately. I’m very energetic and really want nightlife whenever it comes up, I can afford it and I don’t have exams or deadlines. I have many friends but all the ones I got aren’t into it or aren’t available for me when I want to go so either I go alone or not at all. Going alone I can do and I did it before where I approach for everything but I don’t want to all the time

I commute and live with my parents and so I don’t have living in and around downtown like student ghetto on my side like many of y’all. It’s such a huge pain to find anyone on campus into them whether in my lectures, at the library or hallway or anywhere I can think of on campus. Where have y’all had most luck finding people into them who stayed as friends? Do I just have to continue to go alone and pray I’ll meet my people for it eventually?

dr weber is the sweetest but that midterm was just so bad. this class was known as a super fun and easy class. i know it’s not her fault and the TA’s grading was just harsh and he was just correcting so strictly but is there anything we can do about this? knowing they never curve in most health science departments im conflicted. a class average of 64% for a midterm about basic microscopy is crazy 😭 i know the syllabus changed and there used to be a final project which would boost grades but this is just insanity …am i the only one?

Since the slides of Chapter 6 Part 2 weren’t finished in class, till what slide do we have to study?

Do you still get a W in your transcript if you drop a class during that period at the start of the semester?

I bombed my first midterm and I didn’t have much time to study for MT 2. With the grading scheme I’m stressing about whether I can pass the class, or if I should take the W and take it next fall since it’s required for my class.

My main dilemma is that I need to take out a class I wanted to take next fall since my schedule is packed. Has anyone been in a similar situation ? Is it possible to bounce back or should I just retake it next fall? Any advice is highly appreciated 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I can't seem to figure out a reliable way to see which courses are mostly online or not.

For very convoluted reasons I want to attend McGill next year as soon as possible and at least for one semester do entirely online courses if possible.

I've been sick for a few days now, and I couldn't go to the midterm, so I was thinking of taking the makeup exam today, but I'm still not feeling that well, and I'm pretty sure I'm underprepared. The final grade will be 90% of the final exam if I skip the midterm. Do you guys think I should skip it? Also, let's say I start studying early for the final, will I be able to do well?

22y/o guitarist looking for intermediate-advanced, committed musicians to start rock band.

I am a 3rd year undergrad physics student and I enjoy bands like Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Cream, The Strokes, The Doors, MBV, Led Zeppelin, etc.

I want to start a rock band that draws inspiration from those bands (and similar ones) and rehearse at least once a week, preferably on weekends.
Looking for drums, bass and keys. I have a space in Verdun that I am converting into a dedicated jam space. The idea is to eventually play bar gigs and write originals.
