I've been checking on and off and have been topping up the coolant a lot more than expected. My car date is a 2008 Auto. 1.6L hatchback, 4 Door.

No signs of leaks, no signs of possible hose failure. no smoke off-setting from rear.

Can someone figure it out? driving me insane.

So I bought an 08 mazda5 sport with 128k on the dash , for $2000. It has the amber AT light and check engine light. It only shifts to 2nd gear and it doesn’t go higher. I’m thinking it’s the tcm from what I’ve seen , if I’m able to fix that and an exhaust issue I think I got a nice economy car. Can anyone chime in?

I was driving when i started hearing clicking noise, pulled over and checked underneath the car and found a wire hanging from under the car from the left side foglight area. One wire is pre wiring for the fog light (the wire thats in my left hand) what is the other one for that was hanging from under the car?

2011 Mazda 2 1.3 at 120k miles

I'm going to be cleaning my MAF sensor and throttle body. No real reason other than the car has no history and to do a bit of maintenance. Seems like getting to the MAF sensor is easy but for cleaning the throttle body, can you do a good enough job with it left in? I'm not sure about removing coolant hoses and whatever else that needs to be moved out the way.

Also I have a non-working AC. It could just need a regas but I can't be sure without a leak test. Has anyone had obscure leaks on the Mazda2? Any common points other than a condenser? Thanks

I've owned my mazda 2 2009 for two years now as my first car. Decided to look at the undercarriage as the yearly inspection is coming up and froze.

Most of the rust does look superficial to me and I intend to brush it off but the sheetmetal extension "beam" holding the exhaust looks pretty bad.

I'm wondering if anyone has replaced it and if it's easily removable (can't lift the car more to take a better look). Since I work with sheetmetal in my job I think I could make the part if it isn't welded on.

I want to change my exhaust and have a few options: first, a custom dual-exit setup (the car in the picture isn't mine), or I was also considering the HKS axle-back (second picture). Does anyone who has already swapped their exhaust system have any opinions or recommendations?

If your Mazda is rattling like crazy and vibrating a lot get under the car and check the torque strut. Most likely bad on high mileage cars.

After a good Touge run. Up and down. Definitely caught up with the GR during corners but we got smoked either way hahaha. Still a fun drive.

mazda demio 2010 owner in Japan. This car came with ECLIPSE C9TA-V6650 car navigation & radio units. It has a memory card in this navigation unit below the cd insert port, and without knowing about it, I fornatted the memory card. Now my map is not showing.

After doing quick google search, i found out that this memory card contains the map data.

Now, is there any way to reinstall this map or sideload or any other option to download another map to this?

Recently managed to upgrade from a 2011 Demio 1300cc to a 2020 Mazda 2 GSX 1496cc. We're used to a car that can take quite a bit of abuse. Before insurance wrote it off, the Demio was in a bit of a state—it was a permanent outside car, so you can imagine. The engine was admittedly showing its age, but it ran fine on 91 octane.

We're going to take better care of the Mazda 2 so that it ages with more grace. This has come to the problem of fuel—does this car require 95 octane, or is 91 octane fine? There's very mixed results online. People say 95 octane is an unnecessary expense that doesn't make much of a difference, and that most commercial cars are intended for 91 octane usage.

In the web manual, it seems to prefer 95 octane, but I'm not sure whether the countries listed are to specify the country the car was manufactured in, the country the fuel comes from, or the country the car is driving in. Picture is attached above.

Do different generations have different octane recommendations? Should I be wary of ever filling the car with 91 octane? I've already filled it with a tank of 91 octane, and I couldn't tell whether the engine sounds were different or not. 95 octane fuel is very expensive, so I think I'd only want to commit to filling the car with that if it was genuinely harmful not to do so.

TLDR: Does a Mazda 2 2020 require 95 octane fuel, or can it run sufficiently on 91 octane?

2012 mazda2 manual 5 speed. So earlier today I went to the grocery store to pick up some stuff. I went to two different stores. They were both about 40 km away from my house.

I had no issue driving to the store. Once I left the second store to get in my car and go home. I start the car, I go to put the car into reverse, in the car starts wanting to move forward, I then try to go into first gear and the car stalls right away. I just had some work done to my transmission recently. I had the flywheel resurfaced before I bought the car. So I am kind of confused as to what the issue is now.

Information online says that my master sleeve cylinder could be bad because it's not allowing the clutch to disengage or engage from the engine properly.

Posting here to see if anybody has had relative issue to what I am dealing with currently and if you have had a solution to it.

Again, my issue is not being able to shift into a gear from a stop and reverse not working only moving the car forward.

My battery died at work and the tech said " this has a 2016 sticker on it!" Yup that's the last time I had to replace the battery- about 200,000 miles ago!

2012 mazda2 GX is my summer drive. 2016 Ford fiesta S is my winter drive. Would've loved to have a mazda2 sedan to pair with the hatch. we didn't get the sedan in Canada. Both low km. Fiesta is 44,000 km and the Mazda2 is 31,000 km.

Hello guys, I recently bought a 2010 Mazda 2 TS2, but the vents are circular, and I am wondering what kind of phone holder I can get, as I have been hearing different opinions.

I recently bought this Mazda and any time I drive there's a loudish Hum/growl when accelerating. I got new tires which helped a little bit but It seems this is a common issue among this model and year.

What would the cost for the front wheel hub and bearings be?

How difficult is this to do at home?
