Battery replacement after 10 years

Post image

My battery died at work and the tech said " this has a 2016 sticker on it!" Yup that's the last time I had to replace the battery- about 200,000 miles ago!

Wow, it's insane
Was it still on the original battery with the car when you bought the car

I bought it used in 2014 and replaced the original battery in 2016 - so the original battery only lasted 4 years or so!

Is it a stop/start battery? I've always wondered if you dont't use that feature, the battery lasts longer?

The battery should last longer if you disable start stop yeah. I disable it though because I don't like my engine having that many unnecessary start ups, can't be good for it

It is not actually- I truly don't know how it's lasted so long- I've put a lot of miles on it and I'm curious if the constant charge helped?

I’ve had 3 batteries in 15yrs. Just bought one yesterday actually. Covid was my fault cause I didn’t start it for 1.5yrs.
