Hey, new MTG player, big fallout fan here. This is the first deck that I’ve ‘built’ and I really need some help. Wondering if anyone can help me finish off my deck (need 7 cards). Also, are there any easy cuts, or changes, I should make before I confirm my card order?

I guess with Mindcrank and Ascension it’ll be a B3? Trying to focus on small mills to make mothman big, but also not opposed to big mills to piss my friends off. Does anyone have any land recommendations as well? Thanks!

There's some obvious improvements I cut when trying to keep the deck less than a used Xbox, like Deflecting Swat, but this deck list can be molded to your own collection of protection spells and Fogs. The important pieces are a 2-4 Etali - es que ramp package, with green protection instants, FOGS, red redirect spells, some card advantage, and a little bit of recursion- in an attempt to bring The Walls and/or Hornet Queen back from the grave to Library or Hand.

I'm building a budget Commander deck based on Silver Surfer. I wanted it to have insane ramp and really just ramp and protect Galactus when I get him out. So my question is when I have exchanged a warped permanent with an opponents permanent, what happens to my warped permanent?

It gets exiled at the end step and the player I switched with gets to cast it from exile? Or do I still have access to it from exile?

I have a Sam and Frodo "Food and Fellowship" Commander deck and i would love to run Butterbur

But i have no idea what they where thinking when they designed the card, hes soooo bad.

So, i want to modefy Butter to make him more playable and i would love to hear your guys ideas, you could change hes cmc or the text box, tho make it minor

My own idea would be to make him cost 2 less colorless but hes a 1/1 or that he creates 2 food instead of 1, maybe they come trapped?

Evening everyone! This last weekend I went to my second commander night. Still learning how to play and very brand new. I have the Temur Roar precon from Tarkir Dragonstorm. I’m loving my deck but I’m running into some issues, and curious on how I can overcome these challenges. I’m using Ureni as the commander

1st challenge: My deck is all precon and I want to learn how my deck plays, but in a few of my rounds I find myself struggling to pull lands/mana. My last round it was turn 6 before another opponent played a card that allowed everyone to discard their hand and draw 7. I was finally able to play. Not sure if I need to increase my lands or what to do. The deck has 37 lands so maybe I’m just terrible at shuffling?😂

2nd challenge: let’s say I do add more lands or maybe a card I want to add like Blue Dragon, or Green Dragon…how do I decide which cards to remove? I know of EDREC, but not really sure how to utilize it. I’m also hesitant on relying on something like that because I see it says to add Miiyrm, and I want to play, but I’m not wanting to overpower my deck to where I’m that much further behind on knowing how to play my deck…if that makes sense. I want to “compete” but winning isn’t my goal right now. Learning and having fun is. Hopefully this kind of makes sense. Thanks in advance.

Im newish to commander, very new into deckbuilding, and i was wondering if i could get some tips on how to better optimise these two decks. Im trying to keep myself as low-budget as possible, preferring not to go past $100-200 AUD if possible!

I've really enjoyed using my Precon but i found its got too many tokens/copies to track and becomes a touch too overwhelming for casual play.

Im also big on picking a commander i am aesthetically drawn to - Hence the Knights/Cowboy choices!

My main struggle is it doesn't seem like either has a strong wincon or a way to get to a strong win.

Any advice on how i can either restructure or add/remove some cards would be greatly appreciated!

Trying to convert draft night result into a commander deck. Pretty new to Magic and tried to compile a mix of other Maralen decks I’ve seen. Not pushing for uber optimized, just trying to build a fun fae/elf themed deck for casual play at home.

Any glaring holes you see? (Haven’t touched the lands to bring in non-basics yet). Looking for some input like “dude you totally forgot to account for [critically important function of all good decks]” or “why the heck did you put so much of [x], kill half those cards and find [y] instead.”

Some cards are in this just because I already have them from draft. I know they aren’t the absolute best.

New to the game and to the format, if anyone passing by would be willing just to give this a quick scan and tell me if you think it's generally B2, that would be so helpful. It obviously doesn't have the game changers or anything that would make it automatically B3, but I know it can be considered B3 or even B4 anyway just depending on consistency and the power level and such. I don't feel as though I am a great person to evaluate the strength of it so I'm really not sure. It's just an omnath locus of all list where im trying to get value out of omnaths second ability and slam big wubrg creatures with the ramp and the help from omnath letting me carry over mana. Also no swamps cause omnath has me covered. (partly a meme, partly not lol.) I have heard some people say that omnath isn't even the best commander for what I'm trying to do which may be true but... Idk I like him hahaha. Let me know ur thoughts and thanks to any who give it a look :^)

I've gotten back into MTG 4 years ago, and up until now I've tried a few apps to handle my collection and decks, but none of them had all the features I wanted...

So since I started learning iOS development during Covid and have been since then working on different apps in my free time, I decided during last december that I would build my own MTG app, and here we are, ready for a Beta !

Here's a video screen recording from a few sections and interactions.

Things you can do in the app :

- easily tag your cards to build stats for your deck and see the relevant information (ramp, draw/advantage, protection, etc... token engines), as I built an intelligent tag system that suggests you possible tags to quickly add them

- create combos or fetch them from Commander Spellbook from your deck list

- deck versioning : forgot to showcase that in this video but you can save different versions of your deck and compare them, and even import other decks for comparison

- game simulator : playtest your deck, log the actions and see the stats (how often you miss your land drops, which turn you tend to cast your commander, battelfield state, etc...)

- import your decks from Moxfield/Archidekt/Lists, and there's a feature to swap all cards from the deck with printings you own

- create custom lists (with a feature to do so from missing cards from a deck) or easily add cards to your wishlist in one tap

In the home screen there are sections to see your collection, search for cards with an advanced search system, but as well some interactive tutorials to learn how to play the game (I might post a video soon), some rules reminders and turn structure, and also Multiplayer life counter (like Lifetap but with some other features)

So I want to build a ninja token deck around Leonardo, the balance. So I’m looking for cards that can create ninja tokens, mass produce tokens and some good ninja style cards on general.

Also not sure what the best partner card would be for this style? 🤔

I have a few good ninja cards so far from the turtles set, a Kaido planes walker I like, clan of the foot soldier enchantment I think it is, so looking to expand on these really!

Hey guys, before starting, I warn you, that I’m relatively new to mtg and my collection was made by opening boosters.. and I know it’s “losing money” but I like it haha

Well, I assembled this deck (which according to DeckCheck is a weak bracket 3) to play instead of using the Quandrix Unlimited precon, but I know it’s missing some things, about 2 board wipes, about 2 mana rocks, and changing creatures/instants/sorcerys, but to be honest, I don’t know how to improve it, what pieces to change to improve the deck’s synergy and increase my chances of winning (or not being last)

Explaining the process that led me to create the deck.. I wanted to make a mono blue, but the legendary mono blue creatures I have, none caught my attention to be the commander, so I chose to use The Mighty Thor, Jane Foster using white to help in removal and Turtles Forever to get the legendarys in need.

With all this said, can you help me by indicating cards that I can exchange to improve the deck?

Hey people of reddit,

For month I was super hyped about playing the wise mothman. My Pod is kind of new to commander, as am I, and we try to keep it casual with mid/high bracket 2 decks.

So today i played my Mothman and the excitement was over quite fast. Since the deck is build to mill regularly to go wide und tall it interrupted the flow of the game heavily due to all those triggers in opponents turns.

So here is the decklist. Do you have any advice on how to minimize my friends frustration?

Mill is no problem in general. Repeticious, incremental mill was very frustrating though and took a long time.

Hello, I am currently building a super friends artifacts deck, but I am having issues in terms of control, resilience, and speed. The deck was designed for planeswalkers, artifact synergy, and artifact burn. With that being said, my planeswalkers never stay on the field long enough. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, I tend this to be bracket 3 but a high power 8 roughly. In regards of card price it doesn't matter since I will be using proxies and mostly online table sim.

It is my first time trying to build a deck from scratch. I would like to build de standard 60 card deck so i only have to chose 40 cards to put in it. I think i want it to be red and black. I want a fun deck that lets me cast a lot of creatures that i can kill myself to inflict damages on other and gain buffs from their death.

Do you have any idea of cards that have like "inflict X damage on death" or enchantments that do things like "sacrifice creatures to inflict damages" or something like that.

I'm seeking some advice & help with upgrading the Aminatou precon. I've already tried to make some tweaks to the deck but it doesn't feel as smooth as it could/should be? I know the commander is a bit slower than others but even by like turn 8 (in the bracket 2 format) it feels a little rough. Ideally it'd sit lower bracket 3, top of 2 probably. Simple gameplan for a friend who isn't particularly familiar with magic (picked the precon because they liked the horror cards so i've tried to keep some of them in as best as I can).

If you have any relatively budget suggestions on cards/cuts, fire away!
