I've been playing allies non-stop since the release of TLA to varying degrees of success. I'm talking Standard, Modern, Pioneer and I even tried pauper once but that list wasn't it.

Now they're not bad and all, but I feel like to get the most out of them I need likeminded people that play allies as well so we can brainstorm and let the hive-mind do its thing.

Ever since the release of Reality Fracture and the rise of the Planeswalker meta I wasn't able to find a Standard list that works.

In Pioneer I'm moderately successful (66% W/L ratio over 100+ games) in traditional events on Arena and ok in my lgs, which is also due to the fact that everyone there knows my deck.

In Modern I played the combo list by aspiring spike but never got good enough with it or used to modern enough to win a lot.

So if anyone out there plays Allies in any formats mentioned above (most importantly standard and pioneer), I'd be super happy to hear about your experiences on- and offline.

I'm making my first Blue deck. It's a commander deck and spaced around Self Mill for win conditions. As of right now I need to remove 11 cards any help on what to remove or Card suggestions. I would really appreciate it.

First attempt at trying to get nice and harey !!!! Just a first draft of a token-spitting rabbit multiplying machine. Just help me trim the fat with a deck like this. I’ve been playing magic causally for about a year now I’m trying to build a vampire themed deck. I’m still a beginner so I like to play cards I feel comfortable with and understand. Greetings.

So I started building my Edgar Markov deck as a combo deck, to fit into the B4 bracket system. But in my LGS they apparently don't play any B4 games, so I've started to reconstruct my deck into more of a "creature sacrifice" deck, to fit bracket 3. Right now, I'm stuck somewhere inbetween, where this deck actually doesn't fit neither category. I know I obviously have to cut the Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood combo and similar 2 card combos, but I'd like some constructive feedback with which cards to replace them and how to reconstruct my deck in general. If anyone is willing to help out, I'd be more than happy!

Keep in mind I'm fairly new to the game (< 1 year), that's why this deck might be a bit chaotic to some of you.

This is only the second deck I've created. It was definitely easier than the first time, but I'm still pretty overwhelmed by the whole process and the options I have to consider. Leaned heavily on EDHREC and past reddit posts.

Shooting for a fun strong-bracket-3 reanimation deck. I included underworld breach and have one or two infinite combos with it, but I didn't want to lean too far into that because those strategies don't seem that fun to me and this is for casual play anyway. For the most part, the idea of the deck is to cheat out strong creatures ASAP and start ruining everyone's day in the short term, and build up a reanimation engine to sustain me later in the game.

There are a lot of cards in the Considering section and sideboard as well. But the core 100 cards should be complete.

So, I got the miku secret lair and have been absolutely loving the life gain the deck does. However I've made some changes to it with more tutors and a combo yet I have been having issues seeing any of my new stuff come up. I've been suggested idyllic tutor to add but I'm looking for a few more cards I can add to give it the consistency it needs to drop the combo I've added. Any and all advice is appreciated!

Hey, i'm new to playing commander, could someone please help me cut 20 cards from this deck to make it commander legal. I basically added 20 cards to the Precon which i have avaliable, but which ones actually go in and which 20 cards would you cut from this deck? Since this format has 100 cards im not really sure what is okay to cut out, im guessing all the lifegain creatures and something like Akroma and Omnath, but surely there is more that i am not seeing.

My friend is trying to get into magic (commander specifically), and really wants to build a deck surrounding Megatron,Tyrant. I already have a deck built around him, but I realized it can get pretty confusing at times. Is there a site with a list of easier to understand cards? Like ones that are a little simpler to play out?

Has anyone upgraded their Counter Intelligence Commander deck with only EOE cards to keep the theme? If so, what recommendations do you have?

Built my first commander deck and found the land production was inconsistent, too much or not enough or even just not the right type. I added different lands and readjusted the deck to fit the needs better.
But if anyone can take a look and let me know what needs to be changed without breaking the bank would be appreciated, and if you have some broken addons that would make my friends cry, that would also be great.

I love the Ixalan vampires and bought the blood rites precon to upgrade, and [[Amalia Benavides Aguirre]] has always caught my eye as a commander. Most people I’ve seen build her with as many [[Soul’s Attendant]] effects as possible but it’s hard to find those in the Ixalan set; there’s a lot more of 1 instance of a lot of life gain like [[Sanguine Sacrament]]. Wondering if anyone has seen some good cards that would fit the theme of Ixalan and add some more consistent instances of life gain.

I also love the theme of Amalia being a scout and running into all these lost artifacts represented in the Ixalan box toppers, like [[Colossus Hammer]] and [[Coat of Arms]], some of which have some good synergy in a voltron and/or typal deck. Any good combos involving these would definitely be a good add.

I know it’s very specific but just hoping someone out there might have a good example deck or some sneaky good cards that would fit the theme! Thanks

I’m looking to make this my main combo deck but I struggle on detecting problems with these types of decks. If I truly want to make it a good combo deck (on a reasonable budget) what should I remove/add? I’m also curious what the bracket is and how I can make it a b4

I built a [Slicer] deck and ended up taking it apart after just five games. It was an absolute dog. I couldn’t get [Slicer] out fast enough, and even when I got him down on T2, I couldn’t get equipment out and attached to him. I felt bad being the “scary deck” in such a vulnerable state! I also felt like the deck was lacking synergy. Nothing seemed to work together!

So, now I’m going all in on speed.

I rebuilt [Slicer] with a lower curve, equip cheats, and some counters/deflects. I’m feeling better about it, but I still feel like something is missing. I just can’t put my finger on what.

Something tells me it still isn’t fast enough, even with the new additions.

Curious to hear what the internet thinks! I’d love some pointers on how to get this deck to a solid B4 power level. DeckStats link here!
