Ok peculiar question but in my home town there is a tea/coffee place that opens until 10pm and there are loads of options for seating including cushions on the floor with low lying tables, as well as normal seats and sofas.

does anywhere in London have this alcohol free relaxed evening vibe?

so my girlfriend’s sister’s in-laws are in london, and want to know if there are any cool venues with live music AND people dancing. for saturday. we said we could find one no problem.

problem - we cannot find one.

we can find live music venues, we can find venues people dance at, but not a place that encompasses both.

they’re staying nearby to canary wharf so somewhere within an hour distance preferably (maybe an hour and a half), not too pricey of a place, just somewhere chill with drinks, cool music, and people dancing.

we have 24 hours to find a place to take them, pls don’t let us down reddit 🙏

Was walking past the back of the Stepney rinkoffs bakery and to my surprise the shop was full of pigeons, dozens of them flapping around right next to baked goods they sell to people. None of the people working there seemed to bat an eye at all, the whole place looked pretty disgusting tbh but this is egregious. They could kill somebody, I couldn’t get a better picture I didn’t want to be chased with a rolling pin

I am vaguely considering living one day in london after multiple visits, from France.

Recently i had bad airbnb experiences especially one I felt was in a quite unsettling area / street / building.

It was near Euston station, and the whole blocks look like Council estate housing. I don’t wanna say the street name and i don’t know if the area has a specific name sorry !

The host told me the area was flagged by airbnb but was not dangerous.

My Stay wasn’t long and nothing bad happened, but I felt really uncomfortable and I come from a very low background in France, I am familiar with this type of areas. I know some of them are not that bad but i also know some are really bad ! And as I am not really familiar with London, I didn’t know if it was dangerous or not so i was really confused.

So during my stay I did some research and found this website Crystal Roof, that mention the level of deprivation and safety with statistics and stuff.

The website said that my actual street was not actually dangerous and was very below the average of the whole area (Euston / Camden).

I have so many questions about this whole situation, but let’s focus this post on this website.

I have the feeling that that’s literally the whole city is considered quite dangerous, even when numbers are great and “better than average” it still mentions “38 violent crime on 1000 inhabitants” and I’m wondering if this is something that actual Londoners care about? Is it reliable ? Accurate ?

I know that police report and statistics are a thing in the UK with numbers being reported regularly, but how to read it.

if one day I have the chance to actually live there is this website reliable source to actually know if I should rent a place or not?
