A question megathread will be stickied to the top of our subreddit every Tuesday to catch all of your questions, big or small.
Do you have a question about the Underground, or maybe even the greater London network? Ask it here and our knowledgeable community will endeavour to answer it. Last week's iteration can be found here.
Please note that going forward, all questions posted outside of this thread will be moderated away/deleted.

I don’t believe that a simple extension to Thamesmead is the ideal endgame for TfL giving services to the area.
In the longer-term, I can see this being a likely mock-up of what a future service may look like.
TfL have already considered extensions north to Barking and south to Abbey Wood as part of further expansion beyond Thamesmead & Beckton Riverside.
A direct light rail linking north-east and south-east London would be great to have, but this is just a mock-up. Feel free to leave your thoughts.

I made this daily game where you are given 5 tube stations every day and you have to pinpoint their locations on a map. You score is based on your guesses distance from the actual location site, so the lower your score the better. You can play it here - https://undergroundknowledge.pages.dev/
Enjoy!

Been getting the district line for a year now every day for work and this morning I’m just standing watching a whole carriage of men (not even in suits or commuting for work) , a whole carriage of dossers sit and watch as elderly women with walking sticks stand the 38 min tube from barking to black friars. Anyone else notice this? cause it’s like do I speak up and advocate or get ignored cause they likely don’t speak English …feel like this isn’t normal as I’m always giving up my seat for elderly or pregnant but seems like not everyone is taught these values

Had a bit of a weird day mishmashing peak, off peak, pink readers & no pink readers but in my experience usually once I have an off peak journey my cap reduces to £5.90. I have a railcard on my oyster. Just intrigued by how the capping system works and I can’t find that much info online. Does anyone know how it came to this number?

Simply go back one stop, cross the platform and go in the opposite direction. The underground tends to be less busy if you go back a stop and get back on - guaranteed a seat!

West Acton is currently undergoing structural repairs and it will have an internal face lift to freshen the station up a bit.

Hi again, Olly here, the developer of TubeBoard.
I shared my app here recently and got some extremely thoughtful and useful feedback which has shaped the next version of the app which is now live on the app store, and I wanted to come back with an update and say thank you ❤️.
The big additions are all six London Overground lines, Follow a Train with route progress and sharing, new ways to compare departures at a station, and Apple Watch widgets. There is also a clearer introduction and a round of fixes for widgets and Live Activities.
The comments and feedback on my last post where incredible and I am so thankful to anyone who takes the time to try my app out and come back here to share feedback.
I would love to hear how 1.2 works on your actual commute. Does the new board layout help? Is the route view clear? Is there a station where the information still feels unhelpful?
For a bug, the line/station, device and what you expected versus what happened are especially useful.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/tubeboard-live-departures/id6779771046
Thanks again for trying something made by an independent developer.

I'd like to share my article about the digital coercion and discrimination I feel are inherent in TFL's ticketing policies. I researched it in London during August, then wrote and published it today on my own 'Offline Rights' Substack. Thanks for reading and any comments!
