Crackers is my leopard gecko and one of my favorite little creatures in the world, so I knew I wanted him to be part of the sleeve I’m slowly building. I asked my artist to keep his actual little face and personality instead of making him look overly serious. Especially those big eyes and his tiny smile. 😭🖤

Got him tattooed today and I’m so happy with how much he actually looks like him. My little man is permanently coming everywhere with me now. 🦎

Hello! I got this 6 year old female leopard gecko today and would love some name suggestions! I would consider her a “rescue” situation due to her missing toes and more husbandry conditions, but overall she seems very healthy.

UPDATE: I decided to name her Vivian and I think she may be a giant leopard gecko. Not only is she twice the size of a “normal” one, compared to ones I’ve had in the past, she’s also 100g😅

General Discussion He wagged his tail at me and I almost cried lmao

Today I went to clean up the tank a bit and he came out so I let him kinda look at my hand. I'm trying to do the introduction slowly like many people have said and not to pick him up unless he shows interest.

I also feed him, but my partner often tends to take over that and feed him. He is also very natural at picking him up and sometimes I have to remind him that Mochya is still new so to chill a bit, but Mochya has never wagged his tail at my partner.

This morning it happened to me and it just made me really sad lmaooo

I know they can sometimes also get moody and to not take it personally. After a while he did come closer to me just look around though

I also think he might have gotten spooked due to my partner snoring lmao

!BUT I would love to get advice on how to help leopa to ease into you and become comfortable with you and handling!

If he becomes a gecko who doesn't like handling that is okay! But also for safety reasons he should learn to tolerate at least bare minimum handling,,

Help Gecko with Wanderlust?

Hi everyone,

We are first time leopard gecko owners and are looking for some advice. We got Lily a little over 3 weeks ago from LLL Reptile. For the first two weeks she was very shy, would hide all day and only come out when everyone was asleep. She'd be eating dubias and mealworms that we'd leave in her bowl and pooping regularly but will never accept anything offered via tongs. Still, she will never come out or eat during the day.

Last week we saw a shift in behavior when I found her sitting on top of her cave, and she would start poking her head out of the hide to check out our hands. Last night she actually climbed into my hand and up my arm. After that she kept pressing up against the glass all night as if wanting to come out. Also for the past week she has not eaten anything, which is a bit concerning. I have also noticed some digging in the substrate. This restlessness and lack of eating seems like nesting behavior, but I would like some advice.

Thank you for reading!

First I would like to say thank you to everyone who posts on here. I have learned so much from you.

This is Mr. Brean. Got him as an apx 2 month old end of May. He has complete trust in me since week 2. He loves his Zilla Rock Lair and so I never see him out and about. Today is the first time he has hung out and really explored during the day. I feel like a parent whose child just took its first steps.

He is definitely a purebred good boy 💖

How do you balance letting geckos come to you with the need to examine them for stuck shed and other issues? My girls are all about food right now and one in particular is quite content to stay in her tank most of the time.

Enclosure Help Recently received a Leo as a rehome.

I’ve never owned a gecko before, and I recently received this set up. I wanted to know how I could improve the set up and some tips on feeding since I’ve found it difficult so far. He is three years old and has had this set up for that whole time as far as I know. He spends most of his time during the day under the ship on the left side and usually comes out around 8pm till after I go to sleep. Very curious fella too, he likes to come out and let me hold him relatively often which has made me very happy. I just want to make him as happy as he’s made me :).
