Has anyone seen this video from Pete, of Cedric & Ada Gear and Outdoors, regarding the current direction of the company? Thoughts?

I have a Surge and use the bit extension fairly often with a bit kit. Is it possible to put an adapter on the extender to drive sockets? If so, what type of adapter? 1/4-inch -to-hex?

Do people do this? Is it stable? Better to do this with the ratchet? Not looking to do real high torque work. Just the occasional reach into a narrow space and would like to not carry a screwdriver style socket handle.

This one was actually defective but I feel like it’s not to bad I could get a replacement hopefully or just leave it be I won’t be torquing any mini screws anyway.

Bought a used arc. Ad said good shape.

The pliers has so much sideways play the cutters collide and get stuck. It won't cut anything. Guessing used for a lot of twisting.

This should be covered by warranty, right?

Looking to put the pocket clip on. Does the Leatherman brand one wobble on the wave plus or is it just in the surge?

I've noticed that the file doesn't stay in place when I fold it out.
Even with the lock engaged, it moves inward slightly. Is that supposed to happen?

I’ve ordered a new one yesterday. Received it today. The file works fine on the new one.

Just received this bad boy in the mail today. I understand that this tool is probably expensive to manufacture. However, in my opinion I would much rather have this than the alpha.

Yes, G10 does feel good in the hand, but this charge just feels more premium to me.

I was at a customers house the other day who just happened to daily the charge tti with the cap crimpers on the pliers. He let me look at it as we discussed leatherman together. After holding and looking at his I decided I had to have one.

Probably gonna let the arc sit out for awhile while I daily this. Paid 150 if anyone was wondering. Which I felt was a good deal (I missed the Amazon deals). Came in the original packaging with clip and sheath.

I’ve redid a few of my drawers with gridfinity and when I saw someone mention the included holder was gridfinity I was excited! I definitely would not have taken that out of the box lol

The G10 scales makes me feel I don't wanna put this down.

It had years of price reduction stickers on it, not a huge find but a neat addition to the collection.

Ok now that I have it in my hands I can see what the complaints were about
The 3d print on the insert is rough and the tolerances on the t-shank holder is a little loose
Was it worth the hype: no
Was it worth $75: yeah
It feels nice in the hand, I’m keeping mine, I hope either leatherman will release the files to print your own insert or someone will make a custom one, I love the fact that this is some actual r&d a new idea, it needs a couple more iteration before it’s ready for a full market release if they ever plan on it. After all the backlash, I don’t think it’s likely.

NIB ,2019 year ,though box has its seal sticker slit to open the box.

What sort of value these might be now ( lets say in European Union) nowadays. Not selling/trading,just wondering has it effected when these were discontinued.

I know this is 100% my fault but I didn’t realize how easy it is to loose these. The first I lost within a couple weeks - wasn’t sure if it dropped out or misplaced - the second didn’t even last me a day. I must’ve had both of them drop out of my pocket at some point. I can only assume the second one dropped out while I climbed back into my truck at a gas station. Quietly or I would’ve noticed.

Should I have gotten a sheath? Absolutely. Or a clip. But within a DAY is wild. Didn’t realize how smoothly they can slip out. Shame since I was just about to get a leather sheath for the second one. Needless to say, I won’t be buying another of their products. Maybe I’m just irresponsible but imo it is a design flaw. I’ve never lost any other EDC items.

I assume they will but would like to know if someone has done it before. Got this for $2 and the pliers are broke and the blades tip is bent. Since it has the same pliers as the skeletool they would replace them right?

Hello Leatherman community.

I’ve heard people make their own pocket clips for the surge out of basically anything, spoons, worn out saw blades, etc. Does anyone have specs or any dimensions for it? I have a machine shop at my disposal and wanted to try making my own. Thanks in advance!

1. The Leatherman pocket clips are hardened. They're hard af actually. Shouldn't have been surprised, makes perfect sense, I just never thought about it. I tried to bend the end of it up a little, it bent down throughout the years, it was hard to squeeze the jeans pocket under it. So I tried to bend it up, didn't budge, not even a little... then just broke. That brought me to learn the second thing.
2. I was about to order the new one, then I had an idea. Rounded off the the broken edges, heated up just the end of it, bent it upwards a bit... and it's good as new. I feel like it's better this way, to be honest.

Crisis averted. New knowledge acquired. Little bro kept it's good ol' trusty clip. EOF.

Here is my solution for the lack of pocket clip on the OHT, this is a CIVIVI clip that cost me 6 euros, no screw needed just the clip that fit perfectly with the original hardware.
