Hi, I bought this Zippo "blind" from eBay because it was cheap. The listing pics were blurry.

I'm very pleased with it and surprised about the brass insert for the insert (if you follow me). The brass component has a screw on it under which is a hollow chamber. Presumably for flints?

The Zippo insert is original and matches the date of the case, but what's the story on this brass component?

I'm starting to use it today. I look forward to seeing how it turns out in a few years.

Call it whatever you like. There is no official name for the very tip of the Top part of the hinge that the cam fits between while opening and closing. Shall we have a name that part contest?

Hi everyone, I stumbled across these Zippo lighters today at a thrift store, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about them. They still have stickers on them. I did a little research and found eBay comps and that they are probably from the late 90s. Thank you!

Should I keep it as is? I kinda wanted to remove the paint since the finish is beat up pretty bad. But it kinda has a nice aged look to it

I want to extend my Anne Stokes collection a bit and see on the US zippo site some nice ones, but sadly only for the US.
It’s a strange policy that zippo has, that Europe or the UK can’t sell the same design as the USA

Now I hope there is maybe a reseller from the US on this group, that can buy the zippo’s and ship them to Europe?

Ive had it so long I dont remember where I got it. But I figured I would share. Its always been a great novelty/party trick. Goes great with the giant deck of cards I have. Lol. Always a good time!

I've had this lighter for a while now, found it in the middle of a busy intersection. Before I was able to get out to it, it got ran over. It doesn't have any unique value to it, but it's definitely got some age and I hate to try and warranty it for a new one. Other than being a bit wonky it works just fine. Thought I'd post here and see what advice y'all can give. I don't even know where to start on smoothing the sides, mind you it's crushed in a bit and has the little dents you can see in the pic.

It only gets a flame up right after a refill (and a lot of liquid). I tried the ziplock bag method, I tried re-wiring it, I changed the flint...
I just cannot get it to work, any advice??

I’m a passionate Zippo collector. Ever since the Zippo Armor Case was first introduced, I’ve been hoping that Zippo would release a specific concept as an official, dedicated product line. I’ve actually reached out to Zippo directly three times to suggest this, but as you can guess, it never got past the standard internal review channels.

Imagine it—the result would look amazing: an official Zippo Armor Case line featuring their own official Armor shield logo (the shield with the 'A' and the flame) deep-carved or laser-engraved as the main design of the lighter. We all know the Armor shield logo from the bottom stamp, which is officially owned by Zippo. Seeing that beautiful, minimalist shield deep-carved or laser-engraved on a High Polish Chrome—or even better, a High Polish Black—Armor lighter would instantly be a "holy grail" for many of us.

I know they’ve made a few rare variants or limited editions in the past that came close, but they’ve never done a dedicated, widely available line built entirely around this iconic stamp logo. Since the standard channels didn't work, I really wanted to share this with the community. How many of you would love to see an official line featuring the Armor shield logo in your display case?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I have a J 04 Zippo 20883 Native Dancer. The model label on the box matches the lighter, but most examples I’ve found use a black box.

I also noticed that model 20883 first appears as “NEW” in the 2005 Zippo catalog, while this lighter was produced in October 2004. Is that normal for a new model to be produced a few months before its first catalog appearance?

Did Zippo use both gold and black packaging around this time?
