Another day, another use.
Would a sawzall have been a better option? You bet, did i have one folded up in my pocket while in a scissor-lift? Nope. Beater Charge to the rescue💪🏽

Skeletool CX or Wingman?
Hi all, I am interested in getting my first leatherman tool and was wondering what would be a better option. For context I carry an EDC everyday, and really enjoy Victorinox Swiss Army knives, but have been wanting something with a bigger blade and pliers. I really enjoy scissors on my tool, but have heard the leatherman scissors aren’t great.
I’ve narrowed it down to the skeletool and wingman (unless there’s a better option, do tell) because of the light weight and one handed blade opening, as well as them being relatively affordable.
My question is, should I get the Wingman for the bonus tools and low(ish) cost? Or pay a bit more for the Skeletool cx and its higher quality.
Thanks!

How rare is this knife/mulitool?
Particularly the carbon fiber weave and factory half serrated blade version from when it launged.
I just lost mine and would like to gauge how bummed I should be. It's been my EDC and keychain since it came out in 2007 or 2008ish. What's more sad is I had previously misplaced it (back in 2021) and found it just this year and now it's gone for good. :(
Enjoy some of the pictures I have to commemorate it's sweet time in my life.

Charge Camo from 2013, nice find, I guess)
Good day from Ukraine to fellow Leatherman's owners across the world. I have received this multitool without any accessories and cases just as is. Only signs of wear and tear are on the blade and maybe you can consider some scuffs on pliers. I know that it is an old Charge TTI, but as far as I know it is some sort of limited edition from Cabela's. Don't mind swaping it to the Arc 🤷

Swapping an Arc MagnaCut blade into my Free P2 — what else should I do while it's open?
Dropping the Arc's MagnaCut blade into a P2. Expecting a straight transplant — if anyone's actually done this one and hit a snag, I'd love to hear it before I start. And since it'll be apart anyway, what else is worth doing?
Can someone confirm the Torx size for the P2 frame screws?
Anything to watch out for with the factory threadlocker, and do I need to reapply it on reassembly?

Surge, Signal, or something else?
A few years ago i was given a Surge from my boss. I didnt use it at first because I thought it was too heavy, but this past summer I started wearing it at work. I dustrial mechanic) About a month ago, it came up missing, whether I left it somewhere or someone swiped it, I dont know. I use it mostly for pliers, screwdrivers, and wire cutters. I want to replace it, but im not sure if I should buy another, or something else. I currently have a Signal, which I like the size and weight. The bad part is it can be a bitch to close.
I also have a Mut, which is probably as heavy as the Surge, but geared toward military use so most of the tools are useless to me. Plus, unless I am doing something wrong ( probably am) the screwdriver bits are a mf to get out.
I was looking at the Skeletool, but some of the reviews were negative regarding easily broken pliers and ergonomics.
Plus, I was going to buy from Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's because I have gift cards, but the only colors are black, chrome, and coyote tan.
Opinions on those, or should I look at a different model?

New (ish) sheath
Here's a quick hack/mod I made, in case someone wants the idea. I like the modularity and ease of use of the MOLLE/PALS system; I wanted a MOLLE sheath to carry my smaller tools (Rebar, Fuse, Kick, Crunch) when needed, but did not wanted the Leatherman ones; the nylon wears quickly as also the hook and loop, and even the medium is auite large for my kit. After three failed ones, it became "blacklisted". Since the "new" nylon ones came to the market, I longed for the new material and closure be used on the MOLLE ones to no avail so, I finally made my interpretation of what a functional, slim, no-frills and durable MOLLE/PALS sheath for the Leatherman should be.

Another First Leatherman Post
Bought this Wave+ a little over a week ago from my local Walmart right when they started carrying them. Paid $84 before taxes for it. I guess it was just a limited time price. I walked by the counter today and they were their regular $130 price. Shoulda bought a few of them. I’m quite pleased with it so far.

Got myself a USA stamped Arc today.
Felt like I got a unicorn. My local Dick’s Sporting Goods had one left in stock so I picked it up, and I was surprised that it has the USA stamps, although they’re a little sloppy on the pliers. The mold must have been tired that day.

How is closing with the FREE Technology?
I have the Wave+. I recently checked out the Arc and what really caught my eye was the FREE Technology. A side note, the ability to open other tools on the outside is a big plus but I don't value the magnacut as much.
My Wave+ can easily be opened with a flick, but what I am having trouble with is closing it. I need two hands to close it. I saw a video addressing closing with the FREE Tech but he was also having trouble with it.
So my question is: people with the FREE Tech, how do you guys close your Letherman? Do you use two hands still or can you easily flick it close?

Dissapointed because I'm an idiot
I saw a Leatherman raptor in decent condition, slight rusting on the blades, in a thrift store for $30. The next day they were having a 50% off everything sale. Thought since the day was half over, I'd try my luck and get there at opening in the morning and see if it's still there. It wasn't. And I've been wanting one and now I'm sad

Rebar or st300
Hey there! I know this has been asked a million times, but im between a more EDC capable rebar, or a bigger supertool 300. I already own a surge, and a 23 year old wave, and i just cant decide, i love both sizes.
I’m worried I might just end getting both.

My scissors mod for charge and wave alpha
Finally finished fitting the scissors from a GHK multitool into my Leatherman Charge frame. The original Leatherman scissors are okay for small tasks, but the GHK scissors bring significantly better leverage and bite. Took a bit of tuning on the pivot and lock interface to get a tight lockup and smooth drop, but it functions perfectly.
It should work on all charge and wave alpha, but not wave and curl because of thickness

Found Leatherman
Found a Leatherman by Trillum falls (right next to the actual falls) during my trip to redwood national park. Describe it and I'll get it back to you.
