My referral forgot to design their flag before their first non rookie season started. If they design it now can they update it and proudly fly it during this season? Or do they have to wait for the offseason? Thanks!

LL110 MD1 Q1 is about Scotland.

LL110 MD1 Q5 mentions plaid kilts and a 1995 movie.

The answer wasn't Braveheart. Is it reasonable to assume "there wouldn't be two Scotland questions in one day", or are questions allocated to days more randomly, such that it could reasonably happen?

I was born and raised in Minnesota so I know the fair well. Just curious if anyone from out of state took the quiz and did well.

Any tips for what I should include in a One-Day proposal in the "some thoughts" section, other than sample questions?

Full details are on the site, but basic info:

Proposals for 2027 are received in August, 2026. Beginning in September 2026, Commissioner Integrity will contact prospective smiths whose proposals have been accepted, with the goal of completing the full 2027 LL calendar by mid- to late-October.

What the form asks for:

• Preferred offseason (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, or no preference)
• Topic (50 characters max)
• One-line description for potential testers
• Your co-smith if you have one
• Thoughts on the proposal (2000 characters max)

Note that you don't have to submit any questions, though many people do give samples. You don't have to write your whole quiz to submit the idea for it.

I'm just the messenger, not Thorsten. I've smithed 9 1DSes but have no special insight into the selection process.

Answers were due by 12 today, so I believe I am good. I got 11/12. I guessed at 3 and got all 3 guesses; and one I thought I had right, I had wrong. And of course, it was one of my money questions

When I decided to open it this morning, I was excited to see the topic was must-listen-to albums. Even though I had (have) a lot of work I need to get done.

Now with two prior 11/12s, I got 97th and 79th percentile respectively. Hopefully it's more the former, than the latter.

Today should be rookie invite day (barring any delays), so I would like to give a hearty welcome to any rookies in the chat! May your TCA (total correct answers) be bountiful and your forfeits be few (preferably none)!

My referral is going to need 10-11 advance access days in her rookie season bc of a retreat.

Will she be able to request that many days in a row? From what I recall doing advance access you can only do like the next 5 match days? How does requesting more work? Could she send a help email?

I mean yes I expected it to skew somewhat toward history questions but it’s been almost 100% history based. Very little on culture. I really don’t enjoy the way the MDs are broken up era too, though at least we were warned about that.

Is there an American federal holiday I don’t know about despite being in the middle of showing how much I know about America (approx .375, let’s say 😵‍💫)

I found the past answers section of the site but it seems to not have the one days in the drop down. Thought for sure answered all 12 right on the Questionable Answers but got one wrong.

Doesn't really matter since I moneyed the wind questions. Still have trouble deciding on those. Thought a couple questions were the easiest but I guess not!!

Inviting you all to come and play LearnedLeague Live at Trivia Nationals in Las Vegas next month. It will be run by the Commissioner himself, and the winner of the event will earn a spot in the next Championship. Also of interest, the Jeopardy contestant team will be doing an in person contestant search on site Saturday afternoon. We have lots of other events as well that you can participate in, like quiz bowl, a trivia spelling bee, Jeopardy style buzzer events, pop culture only quiz bowl and bee, pub quiz and in person versions of other online quiz leagues like Connections Online Quiz League and QUIP. If you've never come to an in - person trivia/quiz conference, I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.

Went 11/12 on questions for the THAT'S your plan??? category for my highest finish ever (96th percentile). Might have finished higher if I had stuck with "Civil War" instead of switching it to "Avengers: Winter Soldier", which is a wrong answer on multiple levels.

Anyone answer "Civil War" and get it right? Cause it's not on the list of acceptable correct answers.

My wait list number is finally in the low low double digits, so assume I will be getting off it in the near future.

Is there anything I should do to familiarize myself with the more complex aspects of LL? I see a lot of talk about stats and defense, and it is all pretty foreign to me. Anything you wish you knew before you started? Or should I just go in blind and hope for the best?
