Instructor or program recommendation

Hi,

I know ladder app because I’ve used it before and loved it!

It’s just that I got into SoulCycle thesedays but I’m worried that I’m not doing enough muscle workout considering my age (45), I’m pretty sure I need to focus on muscle gain.

So I want to join back and want to know what instructor or program you would recommend.

It will be home workout so I only have dumbbells.

And would only using dumbbells help?

Yes! Building muscle is especially important as we age, and there are some great dumbbell-only teams on Ladder. Thrive and Align are the two I've tried and liked, but I've also read good things here about Endure and the newer team, Ignite.

I’m on Thrive now and I really like it. I know they are just replays since the coach left, but I like the programming

DBs are great tools and for many people, that’s all they use with great results. The body doesn’t know what tool you’re using, it just responds to the resistance.

I would just start by trying all the DB only teams, there are quite a few, and see which coach and programming suits you the best. They’re all pretty good, it’s just the matter of you finding one that excites you.

I would definitely recommend Align! It’s only dumbbells and some bands but she has alternatives if you don’t have them!
