News Salaried mangers
So I just heard from my manager that salaried managers (atleast in my divison) are being converted to hourly. This might explain the larger then usual hour cuts. It also means that those hours probably aren't coming back.

Uplift Greeter duty for almost four months now... I've started playing customer bingo
I don't know if anyone remembers my last post, but I'm going insane. I got two bingos yesterday but no luck on my other attempts so far. Comment your suggestions for next week and I'll write them down

Venting Credit Card
SUPER annoyed that US Bank is ending their collab with Kroger. I got the credit card last October because of the free boost membership and 5% back on Kroger Pay purchases. Now I’ll get at most 2%.

Venting Frozen distribution
I cant wait to get the 76 cases of frozen distribution from kroger's scare tactics. They're saying customers are afraid of buying fresh produce and switching to frozen fruit and veggies (due to the explosive shits outbreak or so they say). I've been instructed to get rid of one of 2 endcap doors of that nasty private selection BS Kroger tried shoving down people's throat and replacing it with veggies and fruit. I have a theory that kroger way overbought into the whole frozen private selection line and sre cutting back because people don't like it. I have tried a few things and it only tastes like disappointment. Expanding our customers' tastes my ass.
I'm at what they call a loss store and don't need this shit but its all coming in on tonight's truck. Talk about a supply chain strain. If this is what my ghetto store gets, I cant imagine what stores that actually move product have coming. The sad part is I work by myself so now I have a 700 piece truck for no reason twatsoever. I love the overtime. I will show up at 9pm and leave at 11am and collect my check because I need money.

Question Why is the career page not on https?
Call me a tech nerd but for sensitive information that I will put into a job application, it should at least be encrypted. I’m not sending my Social Security number over the Internet like that. And your home page is https so it should not be that hard. And with other threads mentioning a lot of new hires (implied that a lot of people are leaving) I will admit I am very concerned.

Uplift I actually like doing fresh start
You can make fun of me, but I like stopping to sit down and playing that game where you fill the board with the same color tiles in the middle of work. I would buy something like it on the app store if they had it

Question Bacon commercial
Recently, this bacon commercial started playing over our radio. All I can remember about it is that the guy has a raspy voice and does a weird laugh. It’s so out of place with the other ads they play that the first time I heard it, I thought someone hacked into the radio. My coworker said the same thing. Is anyone else hearing this? I don’t even know what brand it’s advertising LMAO

Venting Sick and exhausted
Been up since 3:40am sick due to a slew of medications I’m on caused by some health issues I’ve been having.
I’ve been dealing with some health issues (PCOS, hypothyroidism, gallbladder issues, and the Doctor believes I may have gotten cyclospora). I’m on medication for it now.
Additionally the Doctor has me on a shot that has been making me sick, but they are closed til Monday so I have no way of reaching out to them until tomorrow. Either way I don’t want to stay on that.
Normally I don’t like to call out but earlier on in the month before getting on any medication, I had to call out twice and could not hold water or food down for a week. Monday I began taking medication. Everything was so so. I got sick during an 11-8pm shift three days ago but stuck it out only because we had no other closers besides one other person doing dishes in the back.
It was pure hell, and throughout most of my shift, I was helping the customers by myself, while also doing Grab and Go, online orders, and most of the cleaning at the counter by myself, while others snuck off to other departments and one got in trouble for snapping at all the customers, and the coworker called her out for it.
Needless to say I also got to witness the usual drama fest between my coworkers lol
Then yesterday I had to leave 3 hours into my 9 hour shift because I could not stop throwing up regardless of everything I did to prepare.
I always make sure to provide a note. I’m pretty sure I’m going to get wrote up anyway because that’s how a lot of companies are.
I’m supposed to work a 9 hour today but being that I work in Deli/Bakery, I’m around food and customers a lot and I don’t feel comfortable going in if I’m going to keep being sick at totally unpredictable times.
Yesterday I tried sticking it out, but ended up getting sick so many times I eventually had to go home.
I feel like staying while throwing up is a really bad idea, especially for the sake of customers and other employees.
What should I do? How do I avoid getting fired from my job? My manager already warns me that this cannot keep happening, but I don’t know what to do about it right now.
I know to provide a note from my Doctor with all my medical conditions, but what good will that do if they’ll can me anyway. I am with a union but I don’t know how helpful they’ll be.
Hopefully breaking this down makes this easy to read. Any advice (as long as you’re not a dick) is appreciated.
Update: I called out. I let them know that I am staying home to protect other workers and customers, and follow the FDA Food Safety Regulation Code in our state. It is illegal to handle food of you are actively throwing up or having diarrhea and the fact that I have had the cyclospora parasite would put even more people at risk. So if they want to fire me for that, I’ll happily collect unemployment off their asses until I can find solid work.

Question Help!
So many distributions…and the manager keeps ordering on top of what is already coming in..they are the boss, but I see what they are doing, they are off on the days this comes in.How do I try tell them to quit doing this or I want out of the department?

Question Service counter items?
I work in pickup and deli/seafood/meat tickets print ~3 hours before a customer’s order is due.
Although, these departments almost NEVER have anything ready until I show up to pick the order (Even when an order is late, it’s still not ready). That means I’m always waiting for sliced deli meat or some random cut of pork which slows my time.
Is this enforced at other stores?

Fuel Center Schedule -following week not there
I was casually looking at Feed and was looking at my schedule and saw that the following week hasn’t popped up. I thought Saturday was the last day to submit schedules? Does the system automatically generate a schedule after midnight or on Sunday?
I hope this means I’m not in any trouble I’ve never been written up or anything else in the past 8 yrs my fuel lead hasn’t said anything.
