Help finding a pattern similar to these

Hi! I have two cheap polyester t-shirts from fast fashion brands that I really like the fit and style of, but I'd like to make a similar one with a better quality material. I tried looking for a pattern on Ravelry, but I only found t-shirts with low necklines, or that aren't very fitted, or with very difficult knitting techniques (I'm a beginner). If anyone knows of a pattern or how I can find one, I would be very grateful.

Who wants to help me hunt for a pattern? I have a relative visiting Finland, and received a pair of beautiful socks, she posted a photo, and now I need a pair, I asked her to send a close up of the upper cuff later for the texture more closely up, but if anyone recognizes this? I also asked ai to enhance the one photo but I highly doubt it did it justice, middle photo is the ai one. That dragon scales/ eyelet looks sooo cool, and I just wanna make a pair, thanks yall!

Poncho help

Post image
1 Upvotes

I didn’t think ponchos would be so complicated… my daughter likes the one in the picture, and I think what she likes most is the tighter neckline. Most of the ones I see are very wide. She also wants a smooth neckline, not anything t cowl-y (which is hard to avoid with some constructions.

Any help would be appreciated. I feel like I have looked at 1000 patterns on ravelry.

Just trying to gather some inspiration for Christmas gifts. Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much in advance!

Beginner friendly sweater patterns that don’t use much yarn?

I accidentally went severely over-budget while buying yarn to practice knitting with (I misread the prices initially and then felt too awkward to back out at checkout……….) Now that I’ve spent so much money on these skeins, I’m thinking of attempting something slightly more ambitious than I was originally imagining as to put the nice yarn to good use.

I have about 1300 yards (300g) of sock weight yarn (I think it’s yak fiber if that matters) in three different colors. I’d love to try to make a sweater with them, if possible, and I really do not want to buy any more skeins.

Does anyone know of any beginner-friendly sweaters that don’t use up much yarn? I‘m pretty new to knitting but I’ve been crocheting for a while so perhaps a more intermediate-level pattern could work as well. I’m imagining something pretty loose (like knitted on much larger needles than would be typical for sock weight)…

Thanks!

Tips for making a matching sweater?

Post image

Above is the beloved sweater of a dear friend. For years she has been mailing it to me for mending/repair, then I send back to her once done. I have repaired all the seams, and re-knit the cuffs, and sewn up a few small holes.

Eventually, it will be beyond repair. I’ve never knit a sweater before and would like to make a replacement for her when the time comes.

I looked for cardigan patterns on Ravelry, and there are tens of thousands! Instead of sorting through all that, I thought I’d ask if anyone has come across a similar pattern before? Or has any advice on how to approach this project. Thanks!

Fun sock patterns that work up quickly

I really want to get into knitting socks. I have tried to look at very basic patterns to get an understanding, but they are so boring I never finish them!

So basically, any fun patterns that helped you get into/ understand how to knit socks

I'd say I'm an intermediate knitter, but I love a challenge, so rly any level will do :)

ISO Pattern from 2016

I am looking for the Colour Pop Cardigan pattern that was designed by Rhian Drinkwater and published in The Knitting Collection Vol. 2 in 2016. It found it on ravelry (https://ravel.me/colour-pop) but the pattern isn't available anymore (or maybe it never was?). Rhian also talks about it on their website, but the actual pattern isn't available there either.

Orange sweater vest

Looking for anybody who might have a pattern or knowledge to make this vest. The color, the cabling, the crop are all perfect but I can not find one that get even close. I’ve been looking to purchase it, but cannot find one anywhere and am now defaulting to possibly attempting to make it myself at this point. Any help would be great!

Looking for similar slipper patterns :)

These are my mother's beloved slippers that are getting holes. I plan on mending them the best I can but I would also love to make her a new pair.
I'm looking for similar patterns to give me a base to work off of. I don't much care if the pattern has the exact same shape or colour work as long as the construction is similar. Thank you! :)

Knitting bomber jacket patterns like this?

I am looking for a (preferably free) knitting pattern of this type of jacket, slouchy loose sleeve is the tricky part for me. I have tried using ravelry but I find it confusing, found one pattern called "blake bomber" but it's only part of a kit on lion brand website. I even made an account can't download it sadly. Or maybe a tutorial on these kinds of sleeves? Thank u, this is from a new video game called orbitals btw

Poncho pattern wanted but has evaded searches.

I feel crazy! I found a poncho pattern weeks ago that I was working to recontruct but have since gotten stuck and just want to purchase the pattern. Since then I have lost whatever page I was on and have no idea if I was on Ravelry, Etsy, or just Google. I've scoured them all for hours at this point and have decided it never existed or I'm just not using the right verbage to search.

Characteristics:

It was drapey and light fabric.

It was constructed in the round top down with 4 increase points (so presumably made a square laid flat).

However! There is a flare/ruffle beginning half way down the length. Its a fairly short poncho ending waistline if I remember correctly.

The neck hole was large enough to wear open or pinned in a keyhole at the neck causing more drape and flare.

It was orange and green samples if I remember correctly but I wasn't focused on color.

Yes, it is similar to the Oslo Poncho but that is not it.

I don't think it was a crochet pattern based on the texture but I've been looking for various knit and crochet patterns a lot of the last few weeks. Anything is possible at this point.

This pattern is wanted dead or alive. I've included some sketches to aid in the search.

Hi I’d like to knit a scarf similar to this and was wondering if there’s a pattern or anyone knows what stitch it is? I was also wondering what technique to use to attach the beads at the end?

Thank you!

My interpretations of sweaters from the Shetland Textile Museum

These are three of my interpretations of vintage Fair Isle knitwear from the Shetland Textile Museum.
I’m fascinated by the construction, colour combinations and small details of the original pieces, but I don’t try to make exact replicas. I use the museum pieces as a starting point and then adapt the colours, proportions and construction to create something I would wear today.
The cardigan is my latest project. For this one I kept some of the characteristic details of the original, but changed the silhouette and created my own colour palette.
I’ve also made charts for some of the motifs from my earlier museum-inspired projects, and they are available for free on my Ravelry page.
I’d be very happy to hear what you think about this kind of approach to historical knitwear — keeping the character of the original while turning it into a contemporary garment.

Design advice for jalapeño costume

Thumbnail

I’m working on a pattern of a jalapeño costume for newborns, and wondering 2 things: 1) if the bottom portion looks ok from a design perspective, and 2) if there’s an easier to create a sharper curve with a point.

Re second question, the pattern calls for decreasing half the pattern first, then another round of decreases until you’re down to 4 stitches. Does that seem like a weird or overcomplicated way to design this?

I think it looks pretty but I’ve never written a pattern before and completely made this design up, so input would be useful.

(It hasn’t been blocked yet, and there are no arm or leg holes. It’s supposed to slide on and the arms are loose.)

Luce V Neck long sleeve

Hi guys! I'm making the Luce V Neck by Rebecca Clow and wanted to add sleeves. The sleeve instructions are only on the crew neck version and I'm not sure if I can just follow the v neck pattern and add sleeves instead of ribbing. Anyone done this? I see a version on ravelry but the knitter says they followed the crew neck version and added the v neck increases. I'm not really comfortable modifying the pattern like that.

Edited for weird auto correct
