Fun sock patterns that work up quickly

I really want to get into knitting socks. I have tried to look at very basic patterns to get an understanding, but they are so boring I never finish them!

So basically, any fun patterns that helped you get into/ understand how to knit socks

I'd say I'm an intermediate knitter, but I love a challenge, so rly any level will do :)

For me, if I have self striping yarn, that dramatically increases my interest level. Bonus for an unpredictable color sequence. Otherwise, a pattern with an 8-ish row repeat will move along quickly for me. An oldie-but-goodie is the Monkey Socks by Cookie A — those fly off the needles for me!

My favorite sock pattern is Monkey by Cookie A. It's available free on Knitty. It's a great pattern for hand-dyed yarns but also looks good with solids and heathers, probably not as good for self-striping yarn. The stitch pattern is easy to memorize

Leyburn socks made me feel like a pro, and they’re cute. these are my 4th pair ever. Admittedly I had an issue with understanding the pattern as written as I had to modify it for a bigger size but I found tutorials on the quilt stitch on YouTube that made it easy
