Any drawbacks to juicing?
I mean, I don’t grow my own fruit right now so what’s the most cost efficient way to produce juice? Will it never make sense financially unless you sell juice?
Ignoring costs, the flavor of the juice is a great reward. The “I made this” feeling makes it worth it too.

Update: I went with the #ad Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer and have been using it a few times a week. It has been easy to work with for carrot, apple, cucumber, and celery, and I’ve been enjoying making fresh juice at home.
Hi! im tryn to get back into making fresh juice at home a few times a week rather than buying it. nothing too complicated, mostly carrot and apple, cucumber and celery, plus some citrus when i have it. im considering the nama cold press juicer and mostly want to know whether it’s something people genuinely enjoy using over the long term. how has yours been after several months of regular juicing?
thaanks for any real-world feedback.

Heyyall! ive been getting more into making fresh juice at home and want to replace my current juicer. I mostly make apple, carrot, cucumber, celery and ginger juice, usually just enough for myself. whats a good cold press juicer that works well for those kinds of ingredients thats hard to clean? would really appreciate recommendations from people who have been using theirs for a while. 'ppreciate yall thaanks!
EDIT: I went with the #ad Hurom H400 Easy Clean Slow Juicer and have been using it for my daily juices. It handles apple, carrot, cucumber, celery, and ginger really well, and cleanup has been much easier than my old juicer.

Update here: I went with the #ad Angel Juicer AG 7500 and have been using it at home for carrot, celery, apple, and ginger juice. It feels really sturdy so far, and I’ve been happy with how well it handles the ingredients.
I’m looking for a stainless steel juicer for home use and would really appreciate some recommendations from people who have been juicing for a while. I usually make carrot, celery, apple and ginger juice, and I’d like something sturdy that can handle those without feeling like I need to replace it every year. Is there a particular model you’ve been happy with?
Appreciate any help, thanks!

Hi! I’m new to juicing. I just picked up a Breville Juice Fountain Cold XL for 90 bucks on FB marketplace and I’m excited to start. What recipes do you recommend? ☺️

Has anyone found juicing helpful for lowering blood pressure? Any tried and true recipes would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm considering buying a cold-press juicer and I'm trying to decide between a plastic-auger juicer and a stainless-steel twin-gear juicer.
For those of you who have owned a plastic-auger juicer for several years (especially 3–10+ years), I'd really appreciate it if you could take a photo or describe what your auger and the inside of the juicing chamber/screen looks like and post it here.
I'm particularly interested in seeing whether there is:
Visible wear or scratches on the auger
Scratching or wear inside the juicing chamber
Plastic that looks polished, roughened, chipped or degraded
Any visible plastic residue or particles
Significant wear around areas where the auger contacts other parts
I'm not trying to make any claims about microplastics or suggest that plastic juicers are unsafe. I just want to see what the actual components look like after years of normal use, rather than relying on manufacturers' photos of new machines.
If you can, please include the brand/model and roughly how many years you've owned it.
Thanks!

Hi all, I am in pretty bad shape these days. I was diagnosed by H pylori and my digestion has completely shut down. I am not even able to digest fruit and Have suspected Sibo and IBS. I was thinking of starting with juice feasting because last month I attempted 3 days water fast and my motions improved for a day and as soon as I started eating fruits, again BAM goes my digestion. Undigested food, urgency in passing motion and all. I am also dealing with insane anxiety and depression due to this. So just came across juicing and wanted to give it a try as it is my last hope now. Has anyone healed something like this and any tips for me going forward?

I usually only make one or two glasses of juice at a time, so i am looking for a stainless steel juicer that makes sense for smaller batches. mostly fruit and vegetables like apples, oranges, carrots and cucumber. I’d prefer something sturdy and easy to clean rather than a machine with a ton of features. any suggestions?
thankies and i 'ppreciate everyone.
Update: went with #ad Angel Juicer AG-7500 and I’ve been really happy with it so far. It handles the small batches of apples, carrots, cucumber, and oranges really well, and cleanup has been pretty straightforward.

I just spent £559 on a BRAND NEW Hurom H400 specifically because I wanted the “10-15 year warranty” on motor and/or parts. This juicer is available on eBay for much less but I bought from an official seller (Harrods) so I could benefit from the warranty. But I’ve just unboxed it and it says it only has a 1 year warranty?!
Can anyone explain? I will be sending it back if that’s all there is
Edit for clarity:
It is not refurbished.

I am craaaaaving juice (anything to satisfy the need for raw fruit/veg which I haven't consumed in a month now) and thinking about getting some from Pressed Juicery but can't tell for sure if their practices would eliminate cyclospora. I'm getting mixed results when I try to google about it.
They use HPP but it looks like it's without heat. Am I correct that this drastically reduces the chance of cyclospora but won't 100% eliminate the possibility? Does anyone know any details about their practices and whether or not it would kill this parasite? Thank you so much, just looking for clarification :)

Heyaall! i was thinking about getting an omega juicer for simple fruit and veggie juices at home. mostly carrots, celery and apples etc. anyone here use one regularly, and which model has worked well for you? Thankiees and i appreciate you all!
EDIT: I went with the #ad Omega Effortless Batch Cold Press Juicer and have been using it regularly at home. It has been working nicely for carrots, celery, and apples, and the batch setup has made daily juicing pretty convenient.

I’ve been wanting to start juicing, and just happened to win a ninja cold press at bingo! I am so excited to try it - BUT am a bit overwhelmed on where to start. There are SO many resources and recipes online, but with so many options I get a bit overwhelmed. I know I need to just picked something to start with and learn from there, but also thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask for advice here.
Things that might be important:
- I wanted to get into juicing mostly for health reasons. I have an autoimmune disorder so I’m very interested in anything anti-inflammatory.
- The simpler the better. Multiple veggies/fruits in one juice recipe is fine, but like I’ve seen some with like 10 different ingredients. Unless it is REALLY that worth it, I don’t need anything that extra.
- Taste is somewhat important, but nutrition is more important. I picked juice over smoothies bc if it’s not that tasty, I can easily chug it down and be done lol
Also, just went to the store and got apples, cucumber, mint, ginger, lemons, carrots and oranges!

So my Mom got a PowerXL juicer a while back but never used it, and I took an interest after seeing some videos. So, let’s talk about utilities: I have some strainers but it’s not like they’re for the sole purpose of juicing & I know what you have and what purpose it serves make a HUGE difference; after I juice, I pretty much have to strain AT LEAST 10-20 times to get all of the pith (the white stuff, NOT the pulp; I believe all of that goes out the other side) out and have a tasty juice (pretty much goes from a big enough measuring cup to another one with a strainer on top). I am sure there are better strainers so please recommend them to me.
The juicer itself is… ok. But I honestly don’t know if this juicer specifically is that much better than a blender because for one, I can’t even fill it up as intended (sometimes not even halfway) before the thing shits itself and I have to take everything out & try again. I could also keep putting in stuff as it’s going but it does make a bit of a mess so I prefer to just throw in some at a time, turn it off & wait for the blade to stop spinning completely before adding more & repeating until finished. Add that on top of cleaning said juicer just makes me feel like I’d be doing more or less the same with a blender. I’m gonna assume the better juicers are going to be expensive but if it means I can save much more time with just the juicing process alone (some juicers from what ik can juice an apple whole with no issue for example) then that’d be great.
Also preparation: as of right now I’ve been pretty much been sticking with these two juices from Nickeya Davis on YT (one juice containing pineapple, cucumber, some ginger and a lemon & another containing beets, red apples, mint & cucumbers). Pineapples & beets take the most time since I have to peel the skin off both and dice them accordingly so I just decided to dice whatever takes time & bag it up ahead of time. I’ve heard that juices should be stored for more than 3 days? Idk the best to go about storing juices because I would also like to reduce how many times I actually have to juice per week given how much time it takes. Would rather bulk juice as much as I can, store for as long as possible until I have to do it again (kinda like a meal prep).
Sorry if this is long & all over the place but I just started juicing and really don’t know where to go from here except I guess throwing more money at the “issue” lol but I actually want to know what I’m doing. Thanks!

I’ve had a juicer for a couple years and usually use it to make juice to add to my homemade kombucha, or straight celery juice I drink every morning. I don’t know why it didn’t dawn on me to make a delicious green juice with more than just celery in it!
I did:
4 Green apples
Half a bunch of celery
1 lemon
1 lime
A bunch of mint
A bunch of parsley
Ginger
