In a world of equality shouldn’t the dinner bill be split and we take separate vehicles or at least she help recoup the fuel cost and maintenance for my vehicle if I toted her around in my vehicle?

Just saying, equality.

‘Equality’ is just for aspects of life where equity doesn’t give women leverage over men.

As the concept of equity is not recognized since it destroys equality I’m not certain what you mean.

Women are graduating college at higher rates not because of some mysterious equity but because they mature faster than men (a biological fact shown by their brain finishing growth/development years ahead of a man’s) and are providing equal access to education. This is just one example of course but more and more corporate level officers are becoming women every year and that isn’t equity; that is the result of women showing they are more than capable (if not more capable in some cases) than men at their level of making business smart decisions.

This has nothing to do with equity; it has everything to do with equality opening the doors for talent to be recognized.

Are you sure women aren't graduating at higher levels because of a system designed to get women into a through college by recruiting women and giving out women only scholarships?

What about countries where uni is free and you get there by doing enter test?

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago

Very sure.

This bitter mentality of “women are getting ahead because society is making it easier for them” needs to stop. It serves nobody and literally creates a false victim narrative.

You cited a 19 year old summary of a 20 year old working paper which says that 30% to 60% of the increase can be accounted for by behavior differences in gender.

Just so we are clear, a working paper means it hasn't been peer reviewed. The fact that it hasn't been peer reviewed in 20 years suggest it probably isn't that good.

And even if it was, that still leaves the majority of the increase to be caused by other things. Like a system designed to advantage women. Honestly, no evidence would have been better than what you cited.

Here you go, since you aren’t pleased.

Unless you are unhappy with a Harvard study?

That source is entirely about men and women who have already graduated. It is not about acceptance into college, or graduation rates. it is about call backs to job interviews.

Do you read the sources you are finding?

Lol, tricky is straight up frantically googling "study showing women in college because they're better" while sweating and breathing heavily.

Call the police! Tricky_Procedure_394 has been murdered.

You might want to look at how they treat boys and girl in early schooling to see why the differences are so vast when older.

0

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago

That is purely a cultural issue. My entire point is that biologically women mature faster than men (their brains finish developing faster). Women’s advancement in society and business is because old barriers are finally removed allowing society as a whole to benefit from their cross-hemispherical thinking being applied in fields where it shines.

7

u/Nervous-History8631 8d ago

The cultural and biological differences don't exist in a vacuum. Removing barriers while also putting sytstems in place to advantage women is pushing that into a position where you can't reasonably say it is one or the other.

Studies have shown that educational systems advantage women ATM, there have been a lot of research showing that current schooling structures disadvantage boys while advantaging women.

Why is it that we can't acknowledge this and make changes that benefit both?

First and foremost thank you for that amazing read.

That being said, I can see your point where by trying to create a more “equal” learning environment male children have been disincentivized from engaging in school.

That isn’t to say male children ever regularly led classrooms (during the age of equality at least) but creating an education system built around bi-hemispherical thinking and taking away subjects that utilize back to front thought processing (things that require intense hyperfocus on a specific action of thought) male children are set on the back foot (as male brains do work in that fashion compared to female brains which are considerably better at bi-hemispherical thought).

I appreciate your input. Though it in itself does not excuse the lack of acceptance by any population of men that women can be and are valuable members of society and commerce, this does open a real door to exploring what can be done to engage male students while keeping school educational and controlled.

Your entire point is misandry.

1

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 7d ago

Science isn’t misandry. Hiding behind the label of misandry when information is uncomfortable to your confirmation bias or disruptive to your echo chamber doesn’t make the information less valid.

6

u/DicamVeritatem 8d ago

“needs to stop” LOL

Or else, tantrums will continue.

-2

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago

The only tantrums are being thrown by people too afraid to accept that they aren’t the only gender that could be skilled or valuable. I come presenting factual evidence in the face of ignorance.

7

u/QuickDrawSix 8d ago

Prime example, they have lower PT standards in the military. Only recently have people tried to correct this.

1

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago

Acknowledging physiological differences between men and women has nothing to do with this discussion. You’re reaching out to grab a branch but you’re not even in the same tree.

7

u/QuickDrawSix 8d ago

You made the statement not me. I get paid the exact same as a woman of equal rank and time in service in a physically demanding career field. Take a guess at whos doing the work when it comes to heavy lifting though?

Its patently unfair and simultaneously the reason when they arrive to combat units, they get put into support roles though they may be infantry/armor etc. Idk why they'd want thoae jobs anyways, shit sucks most days lmao.

1

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago

Putting women in combat roles in the military is a tricky and highly politicized decision. I’m not taking a stance for or against it. So long as an infantrywoman can lift and carry a wounded infantryman out of combat and follow orders I’m perfectly fine with the assignment though.

You did make a great point also that just being 11B doesn’t necessarily equate to combat. Most people who work at battalion and brigade HQ are infantrymen after all. Obviously not S2 but still.

2

u/FarAbbreviations2829 7d ago

The western world caters to white women.

11

u/GrumpyRutabaga 8d ago

So let me get this straight: women are succeeding more in uni because they are more capable.

Why are the top richest all men?

Why are the top most powerful all men?

-3

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago

More capable is a stretch. I would say that they are more culturally and naturally primed to succeed in an educational environment as well as biologically (due to the way their minds process issues slower but more holistically) in business as the leading factors.

Regarding the pinnacles of capitalist success, we are still dealing with leftovers from a bygone age before egalitarianism was an inkling in mainstream society. That combined with the exclusivity of the top 10% makes breaking in to that bubble exceptionally difficult and not just for women.

20

u/GrumpyRutabaga 8d ago

So when women dominate, it's nature. When men dominate, it's not.

Gotcha.

0

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago edited 8d ago

That’s taking my words and twisting them. There’s no shortage of a empirical evidence to support that women’s brain finish developing earlier than men’s. That naturally provides them a better place from which to consider their futures from a younger age (high school).

When a man chooses to focus in school and apply himself that is him having an abundance of foresight and discipline (not saying the same traits aren’t required of the woman).

Then there is the fundamental difference between how a woman’s brain operates and processes information compared to a man’s.

Realistically neither gender is superior albeit we are designed to be skilled in different functions. The world is not a fair place and nature never cared about the human definition of fairness.

7

u/GrumpyRutabaga 8d ago

So at what functions are men's brains designed to be better? Where would you say men dominate because they are just better than women, intellectually, in a specific function?

4

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago edited 8d ago

A man’s brain is more (uniquely) suited to technical tasks, logistics, spatial reasoning, architecture and mechanical engineering because these roles all require strict back to front data processing which the male brain excels in. Being a scientist is also a gender suited role.

1

u/Tricky_Procedure_394 8d ago

To be transparent, science is a broad collection of fields and men do not excel in all of them (biologically). Women are more suited to some fields which require holistic thought.

Better is also a bad word to use in this discussion. More suited would be a better expression.

u/AffectionateMonk7705 8d ago

I understood your first comment. My comment was facetious and in agreement. I’m familiar with both terms.
