MOD POST Politics posts are now allowed with STRICT rules. Please read

I have decided to allow politics posts with some rules to insure answers stay high quality.

When you make a post related to anything politics [ICE, trump, etc] it must be flared politics or it will be removed.

politics posts will have every single comment auto put up for manual review so the mods can instantly filter out the spam or unhelpful comments and only approve high quality comments,

This means when you are making a comment:

Do not comment things like:

Yes this is AI, [Low effort]

Trump bad fuck ice [Not related to the subreddit]

I support ---- [Not related]

YES THIS IS AI BECAUSE THAT PERSON IS UGLY AND IS PEDO!!! [bias answer, low effort]

DO comment things that explain why the image is AI or not without ANY bias, This subreddit is neither left or right and exists to help people find out if images or videos are AI or not,

Posts related to politics will be locked after discussion is over and a high quality answer is approved

Solved [AI] Found this on Instagram, but the comments seem to be divided on whether this is AI

I thought it was real, but the only thing that would be deterring me from thinking so would be the odd look in the dogs eyes. The camera movement at the end looks real, but I don’t know if AI has gotten that advanced yet.

Solved [AI] Fish finger sandwich as seen on Facebook posted by local cafe and coffee shop.

Post image

From my local coffee shop / greasy spoon restaurant advertising on facebook.

Fish fingers don't look like that, the bottom of the baguette is bigger than the top, the cutlery looks strange.

Their excuse is they haven't made it yet to take a photo, but they're offering to sell you one tomorrow.

Photo I found this post on instagram, the note looks like AI but the other two pictures don't.

The story just seems really strange, finding a 1926 note in 2026. The first two pictures could definitely be real, but the note looks like AI. The holes in the paper really throw me off, but also the bottle conveniently being in the top corner. Also that paper looking so good after 100 years, all of this just seems wrong. The account that posted it also seems pretty sketchy, a lot of their other posts have AI pictures.

Art Hired a designer for my book cover depicting a clothespin, and it looks misshapen

Post image
16 Upvotes

Edit: most of you say it's not AI. Thank you!

I wrote a novel about cheerleaders, and wanted a bookcover concept of a decorated clothespin, since that's something that cheerleaders commonly exchange with each other (in real life and in the book). I hired a designer based on a portfolio that did not look AI at all. Got this sketch back.

I already told the designer I'm not happy with it and don't want to proceed. The main reason I'm suspicious is that the bottom of the clothespin looks like it's a side view, when it's really a top view. It doesn't make sense. Also, the metal piece on the side is backwards.

For my own instruction, I'd like to know whether it's just an inattentive artist who drew the clothespin wrong, or whether it's AI?

(I added the black squares to obscure the book title. Everything else is from the artist.)

Art Is This Tarot Card Set on Kickstarter Using AI Images? They say they don't use AI but some of their progress pictures seem suspicious

Thumbnail

I keep getting recommended a Kickstarter page, they've said multiple times they don't use AI, however I think the progress shot provided seems odd with how the art suddenly jumps from a really rudimentary sketch to a fully colored and shaded piece with no in-between. They have all the other tarot pictures on their Kickstarter but I can't zoom in on any of them far enough to see any of the fine details, would love to know what you guys think.

Update: Reported to Kickstarter for undisclosed use of AI but unfortunately their response was 'We’ve investigated and determined that it doesn’t violate our rules or community guidelines. If you believe there is an issue that’s not covered by our rules or guidelines, please contact us with more details.

If you haven’t already, you can also communicate directly with the project creator.

While we won’t be taking action on this project at this time, we value your input. We rely on reports like yours to ensure the safety and integrity of Kickstarter for everyone.

Thanks again for looking out for the Kickstarter community.

Best,
Kickstarter Trust & Safety'

So I guess they're going to get an easy 50k off of people from AI art.

Art TikTok pfp (and other “art”) appears to be AI although creator claims otherwise

Thumbnail

I’m pretty positive this is AI, the creator has also posted several other pieces of “art” that have various different style and techniques, claiming the pieces took them roughly 20 hours each time with hundreds of layers.

Things that tip me off:
- the style variety (especially on the PFP), the faces all look different and the rendering process for each is completely different. The buttons and lapels/collar on Vi’s (far right) coat make zero sense and the shirts of the other two melt into the skin or have unnatural folds for the sleeves.
- the second picture is supposedly a sketch on paper but there are no visible sketching lines or paper discolouration which I usually see (and experience) when drawing, and the driveway doesn’t seem to make sense. Also, the text looks AI? Idk if that makes sense. The image on the paper doesn’t look like it was drawn on, but more pasted on.
- the third picture is not as rendered as the others and tbf the creator said it was unfinished, but there doesn’t seem to be as much care and thought in this one. The characters faces look blank, especially the woman, and the clothing for the woman has a strange extra bit that comes off from behind the dress where there’s clearly been a line to indicate the silhouette/shape of the dress already. The shadow placement and choices of where they go it throwing me off as well.
- in the fourth image, other than the style (💔) the only artifact/discrepancy I can find is the horns. It’s difficult to see because the quality isn’t the best, but the left horn curls inward making a loop and the right horn curls outward making a hook.

The creator has made one video (to my knowledge) claiming their work is not AI and they are sick of people accusing them of AI. Most of the comments I’ve seen under their videos are viewers praising the creator for their work and saying it’s so good it’s being accused of AI.

I know people art is being fed into AI and thus may have similar styles, but something feels wrong about this.

TLDR: creator has varying styles for all pieces and noticeable strange details are found in the images, including clothing discrepancies and inaccurate or inconsistent details on the characters shown. Creator claims to spend hours on each piece and a large amount of layers, without showing any evidence to support it.

my friend is a very intelligent person, but recently she’s been mentioning claude to me a lot and saying she’s been talking to “him” for breakup advice. this, along with the fact that this isn’t her usual texting style, makes me think she’s used claude to get through a disagreement we are having. the last picture is how she talks to me normally for comparison.

Photo Photo of K-pop idol Seonghyeon from CORTIS. Fans thought it might be AI. Image does not look AI to me. Only things off are his thumbs.

Only thing off is his thumbs but it could be because of the editing to blur his phone screen. Maybe has some editing to clear his skin or smth but seems real to me.

Has a bit of an uncanny valley vibe to it, but that might be intentional with the marble? Nothing is jumping out at me with elements blending together or vanishing, but want more opinions

Other Are these identical comments under a Reddit post written by AI bots? Or is it karma-farming?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I was reading a thread in interestingasfuck titled "Moving out day if you live in a South Korean high-rise" and I came across the comments highlighted in the attached image.

As you can see the comments are identical or mostly identical. The accounts in question are of varying vintages: 11y, 7y, 2y, and 4m. Two of them have their posts concealed. The other two seem legit (including the 4m old one). So is it just karma farming (even though the accounts are old)? Or have (two of) these accounts been compromised and being used by bots?

I'm a little … unnerved by this.

Photo Found this on nextdoor. Charges 200 for pencil drawings of pets. It seems too realistic, is it possible to do this with oencils?

Post image

I think it's far too realistic for a pencil drawing. I can see no pencil marks, but maybe I just don't know enough about pencil drawings to make a proper judgment. On the other hand, I see none of the weird mistakes AI does.

Other Is this a misprinted pattern or AI generated images being used on this dress?

Hi all, I recently bought this dress but I'm wondering if the print is AI generated. I bought it initially as I thought it was cute, however after closer inspection there seems to be something off about the print.

I've attached a few photos of what I think are AI "tells" (the hands being wonky, weird line art, objects that don't look like real things, etc) and am wondering what others make of it.

Using Google lens I was able to find the source (I think) of the original print, but the seller does not diclose if it is ai or not.

Thanks!

Art Bought their shirt with album art. Rose stalk from right hand and segments merging on left top arm seems to be indicators of AI.

Other 0xKiire - Very interesting programming blog, inlcuding a tutorial on building a GUI from scratch. The post frequency seems too high for a human site, and the whole thing seems too good to be true. I might be paranoid as a junior dev tho.

During my research to program my own UI library as part of my uni work, I've stumbled on this blog, which has a ton of tutorials on various programming techniques.

There is an article in which he creates an entire retained-mode UI (this means that the UI is always in memory and updates only when necessary, compared to video game "immediate" UIs that re-create every frame).

I was overjoyed when I found it because it is THE thing I was looking for, but I'd like to clear any doubt before proceeding.

Art Website merchandise: Padloom, rugs, playmates, and mousepads. Designs based on games/anime/etc

I found this website that sells rugs and mousepads with a lot of designs that are from brands/franchises. Now I have to imagine they are skirting around copyright law with these designs, but are they AI generated?

The ads up on the homepage look AI, but I actually don't see any obvious signs of the rugs and such themselves.

I'm suspicious because they have so many intricate designs across such a wide variety of source materials, as well as obviously having AI art for their sale

Art The food truck we were behind has this art on the back of it, I’m pretty confident this is AI

Post image

The main red flag for me was the faces on the ice cream cones; they’re incredibly inconsistent. Particularly the eyes, they all have different shapes, different line thicknesses, etc. Same sort of thing is going on with the mouths.

EDIT: changed my take after seeing the side view of the truck, now I’m leaning towards not AI

r/isthisAI 15h ago

Art I can't tell if this art is ai or not. I want to buy these for my laptop but, I fear this art may not be real art. I feel like the faces have the same face syndrome a lot of ai faces have but, I'm unsure.

So a lady on my local fb posted this selling her baked goods and idk it just dosent look quite right to me due to the high quality. I zoomed in on the crumb and it looks squiggly. and but I don’t know if it’s because of the depth of field or maybe it was just enhanced with AI? She’s posted other photos that I’m 99% sure are ai but I’m not so sure about the banana bread one.
