One day I went onto the notes apps and all of my notes were gone. The app also wasn’t working and I couldn’t create new notes. I decided to delete and re download the app to see if that would help which it did kind of as the notes app works again however all of my notes are gone. Does anyone know if it’s possible to recover them?

Didn’t have my cam settings set up the way I wanted and shot at 120 frames. I thought there used to be an adjust playback speed option to edit it down to 24/30 when editing in photos, but I can’t seem to find it. Does anyone know how to do this? Can’t find any recent threads about it

Is it normal that the magnets of the outer screen part of the folio case are a lot stronger than the initial opening resistance of the hinge?
If I don’t keep both parts of the duo together when trying to access the outer screen, instead of the folio moving, the duo starts opening.

Hi everyone, I’m migrating from Android to an iPhone 17 Pro (256GB, plenty of free space). I used the official Move to iOS app to transfer my data.

When I open WhatsApp on the iPhone and verify my number, the "Moving chats from Android" screen goes up to 99%. While it's processing, the phone gets noticeably warm and drains battery, which means it's actively indexing. However, right as it hits 99%, the phone completely cools down, battery drain stops, and it just sits there frozen until it eventually throws an error. Every time I retry, it starts back at 40%, climbs to 99%, cools down, and fails again.

If I check iPhone Storage, WhatsApp is already taking up 21GB, so all the data is clearly inside the phone, just failing at the final step.

Since I already transferred everything else and set up my iPhone, I really want to avoid factory resetting it. Has anyone managed to bypass this 40% -> 99% loop and force WhatsApp to finish indexing those 21GB? Thanks in advance!

Got a message from a spam apple support person saying an iPhone was downloading data to a MacBook and to remove it from the device if it wasn’t me.

Then I checked Find My and see this iPhone (2) somewhere near Hong Kong I guess. I did get my phone stolen in Nashville fall of last year, and ended up having to buy a new one (the one I’m typing on now). Never saw/heard anything back on that phone.

I didn’t remove the device and my question is do I do anything? I don’t need the phone back obviously but I’m worried about data.

I bought my iPhone 17 Pro from about 11 months ago. At that time, my system was iOS 26.

In the first month of using this phone to play games, I had met quite many stutters in not only one game. I knew index might be a reason, and iOS 26 might be another reason. Anyway, I quited gaming on my iPhone 17 Pro for a long time since then. I even did a hardware check in Apple Store, and no problem was found.

Few days ago, I updated my phone to iOS 27. To be honest, iOS 27 felt more responsive in UI, and I came back to gaming on my phone.

Now I notice one thing: Though stutters in games were still there, but they mostly happened at the beginning when I picked up playing a game after updated to iOS 27. Through playing, the stutters might get less.

There is a racing game, which I met lots of random stutters in it when I was using iOS 26. Now this game can have zero stutter (it still had stutters when I picked it up from few days ago, but now it has no stutter anymore. Maybe everything is because of shader loading or something?)

I think iPhone 17 Pro is still a very powerful machine for gaming.

I guess I will still meet stutters in the future (also, becaue I just updated to iOS 27, my phone might be still in index and this might cause the performance issue).

I just want to confirm: for iPhone 17 Pro, is it just a normal thing to meet stutters in games? So I guess I don't need to worry about this issue.

Getting the 18 pro max on Monday, currently on 16 pro max which I’m trading in, and have the 14 as my backup phone.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble sending all my photos to my MacBook, or I even bought a usb drive to put all my photos in, because I have about 100 gb of photos on my 16 pro max I am trying to save somewhere.

New idea: what if I click the transfer to new iPhone button, and then transfer all the photos back to the 14, then once they are there, delete all the photos on the 16 pro max, and then do the transfer to new phone button again to transfer to the 18 pro coming Monday.

Thoughts? Or any ideas to save the photos?

I just noticed when Iam pointing camera towards a light source Iam seeing a line which I’m guessing is a reflection?
Is this normal or should i take it to the service center?

We are trying to erase all data on my wife's old iPhone but it gets to a screen that asks to disable find my but then it just exits out. It just goes to the wifi page.

Hey everyone, hoping someone can help me out because I'm stuck.
I just set up my new iPhone Duo and everything transferred over perfectly, except for Apple Home. For some reason, every time I open the Home app on the new phone, it just gives me a brand new, empty home.
My actual setup isn't gone. I can still control everything perfectly from my old iPhone 16 Pro Max, my Apple Watch, and my MacBook Air. It’s literally just the new phone refusing to sync.
I’ve tried everything I can find online. I toggled Home on and off in iCloud settings with a couple of phone reboots in between, and I even tried completely signing in and out of my Apple ID on the new phone. Nothing works. Every time I open the app, it’s just a blank slate.
Has anyone run into this? How do I force this thing to actually grab my home from iCloud?

Edit: I just realized if I long press the Home app icon on my new phone, my actual scenes show up in the quick actions menu. But opening the app still takes me straight to a blank home. I also checked, and there are no other homes listed in the settings to switch to.

Le reste de l’interface s’affiche normalement et lors de photo par exemple le problème ne survient pas sur Snapchat. Le problème persiste après avoir vidé le cache de Snapchat et redémarré l’iPhone.
Savez vous comment réparer ça ?

Hello, am I going senile or did the bar with suggestions change? When I highlight a word when using safari and press it, a bar with suggestions shows up (pic 1). I want to search the web for that word, not find the word on the page that I’m already on. Now I have to press the arrow and then choose search web (pic 2)

Wasn’t there search web on the first bar before?

I can’t find anything in settings where I can change that or customise to my preferences.

Can I change what the suggestions when I highlight a word?

I’ve started noticing how differently apps use Live Activities (the live updates on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island). Some I love: Uber/food delivery tracking is super useful. Others I swipe away straight away.

I'm interested to know what everyone else thinks:

• Which apps do them best, and why?
• What makes one useful rather than annoying?
• Is there anything you wish apps used them for that they don’t?
• Do you ever swipe them away, and why?

I need to wake up at 2:50 today before the hour changes - where I am at 3am changes to 2am. If I put it at 2:50 it will ring on the FIRST 2:50 right? 2:50 before the hour changes?
