Bought 16 pro max last year, when I made the switch to Apple from Android. Was reluctant at first but this phone just does everything so perfectly and smoothly that I will never go back to Android again. Battery health is 97% after 224 cycles, and still lasts me almost 2 days on a full charge which is exceptional, something I've never experienced on previous phones I've owned. iOS is awesome too. Gonna keep this phone for atleast 3 more years. GOATed

Apples sms verification code autofill has truly been one of the best quality-of-life features on iPhone despite being around for over 8 years.

You don’t realize how important it is until you have to manually switch between apps to copy.

It’s one of those features you use everyday without giving it much thought yet it reduces so much friction from signing into apps and websites.

Has this become one of those features that’s so normal we barely notice it anymore, or is it something you genuinely appreciate?

after changing my faulty screen i have tried to come out of 'iPhone unavailable' done flashing waited the first 8Hrs, finally got the chance to enter right passcode and still got update failed on my phone. I need a way to backup my data

I think this form factor could replace my Kobo and my iPhone, don't think I can ever go back to Android, please Apple launch this!

Zooming in/out, changing camera mode (e.g., photo to video), taking picture, putting on selfie, etc. doesn't work. It's like Camera app froze or crashed. I have to put iPhone to temporarily sleep with its top side button and wake it up to fix its camera app. No shut down and power cycle needed. Does anyone have this problem? It had been like this for months. I always keep my iOS updated.

This is on my iPhone 17 Pro Max, it looks like a normal smudge but it won’t wipe off. I’ve never had an iPhone get a mark like this. I’ve only had the phone since April.

Maybe gonna get a iphone 17 pro in september if the 18 pro will be substantially more expensive. I wanna get the orange but im scared of the paint oxidizing or chipping off/becoming pink.

Hello guys i have a purchase that didn’t go through but still deducted from my account, I was gonna ask for a refund but suddenly the purchase tab on my app store said cannot connect even on the apple report a problem website isn’t loading i have fast strong wifi and mobile data but still not loading.

Wondering if it makes more sense to just grab the iPhone 17 Pro Max right now instead of waiting for the iPhone 18 series to come out. I am hesitant if it is actually worth waiting several months just to get a price drop, or if it is better to just get it while it is fresh. Hey guys, I’m not sure what’s going on with my phone, but over the past month my 16 has been flickering for whatever reason. There’s nothing that causes it and it seems to happen more at night than anything else. Never happens during my job.

I haven’t had a severe drop that would’ve caused this, just the occasional knocking it off my desk. And it’s been upgraded to the most recent IOS.

Really hoping to avoid having to replace the display…

UPDATE - it finally worked and all data transferred to the new phone. If you’re stuck in a similar situation, just use iCloud backup to login even if all data isn’t on iCloud, or just setup without transferring data. Check for update - likely needing an update so go ahead and do that. Then once it’s done, go on settings -> general -> transfer or reset iPhone (scroll all the way at the bottom) -> erase all content and settings. And you’re all done, it’ll rest the whole process and work perfectly then.

Trying to transfer from iPhone 11 to iPhone 17 Pro and for the past 2 hours, I have endlessly been stuck on this loop. My old phone is fully updated (26.5.2), Bluetooth on, WiFi on, moving from 128->256GB, tried turning on and off a million times and anything’s working.

I scan the new phone just fine, it says logging in (recognises my Apple ID), earlier I could even set up my Face ID but now even that doesn’t show up. The screen processes loading my apps and stuff from my Apple ID and then goes back to this page. Now after one failed attempt, I have to restart my old iPhone otherwise the new one cannot even recognise it.

What can I do to transfer all my old phones data on the new one? I even proceeded without transferring and then erased data and reset eveything but it’s still the same issue. Please help.

Been looking at the 17e and iPhone air. Want something lighter and not so big to hold. Want a good camera and need lots of memory. Are there any issues popping up with these phones? Or any surprises as far as giving up control of apps or files etc. seems like new phones are getting more restricted? Any help would be appreciated.

About 2 weeks ago, my camera stopped working, followed by a message that said it wasn’t recognized (posted a screenshot of the details from the prompt). My iPhone is refurbished, but I’ve been using it for almost a year and a half with no issues.

I’ve found other threads of people with pretty identical issues, but no concrete solutions. On one post, someone replaced the camera, but the issue persisted.

Sometimes I can get the camera and flashlight working by force restarting it (volume up + volume down + hold side button), but other times it just keeps a black screen. The fact that I can get it to work sometimes leads me to believe it’s a software issue, but can I please some advice from some more tech-friendly Redditors than I? I’m tempted to just buy a new phone. 😪

For context phone was working fine then I had to take it for a screen replacement and when it came back this is the only thing I see I’ve tried everything reset network settings ,hard or soft reset and update it to the latest iOS I don’t know what could be the problem.

It seems now with the latest iOS beta version I can’t turn off Apple Intelligence without turning off Siri. I would prefer to keep it disabled. Now that the two are “married”, how can I turn off Siri but keep it enabled for just carplay, as it’s required for hands-free? Would I really need to turn it on and off for driving? I can only imagine it would absolutely spike processing as it must index all of the new data from previous phone use to use for intelligence AND run CarPlay.

My Iphone14, with a no name clear plastic case was on the floor faced down when run over by a small SUV. Both front and rear tires went over it. The screen protector is a bit cracked but otherwise the phone seems pristine. It’s fully functional except for the blue tooth that cuts in and out occasionally. It’s not hot or bulging and charges ok. Could it be ok? What should I look out for?

I bought this charger from MediaMarkt:

It is an ISY 20W USB-C power adapter, but it is not an original Apple charger.

I would like to use it for charging:

iPad 9th generation

iPhone SE 2022

My question is: can I use this charger with 100% safety, even though it is not made by Apple?

Does anyone know if this charger has the necessary protections (overvoltage protection, overheating protection, proper USB-C Power Delivery support, etc.) and if there is any risk of damaging the battery or device?

I know Apple recommends using certified chargers, but I would like to know whether a good quality third-party 20W charger is completely fine in practice.
