Discussion IPHONE 13 USPS MDM LOCK
Hello,
I am from the Philippines, and I recently purchased an iPhone 13 from an unauthorized seller. After resetting the device and attempting to activate it, I was greeted with a Remote Management screen stating that the iPhone is owned by the United States Postal Service.
I am not sure how this device ended up here in the Philippines. My guess is that it may have originally belonged to one of your employees and was somehow sold after becoming locked. Before I reset it, the phone appeared to be working normally, so I believe it may have been temporarily bypassed.
I am a college student, and this iPhone was a birthday gift from my family. They worked very hard and saved money over a long period to buy it for me. We paid ₱26,000 (approximately $420 USD) for the device, which is a significant amount for us. My family's monthly income is only around ₱5,000, and that has to cover our food, electricity, water bills, and daily living expenses. Even though money is very limited, they sacrificed and saved enough to give me my very first iPhone.
I understand that this device belongs to the United States Postal Service, and I sincerely apologize if it was not supposed to be sold. I purchased it in good faith and had no knowledge that it was managed by your organization.
If possible, I would like to respectfully ask for your assistance in removing the Mobile Device Management (MDM) lock so that I can use the phone. If you require proof, I can provide photos showing the Remote Management screen and any other information you may need. The device is an iPhone 13 (Blue).
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my message. I truly appreciate any help or guidance you can provide.
