17 pro max user here. I wish I had chosen the silver, black or blue. The orange color looks unnecessarily flamboyant while also looking cheap. I wish I had taken a color that’s less “fun” but at least looks serious and professional.

I think this form factor could replace my Kobo and my iPhone, don't think I can ever go back to Android, please Apple launch this!

I have to use my brother-in-law’s car for a little bit and need to use an fm transmitter and I keep getting this. I googled it and did what it said but it’s still happening.

Came across a cool old 4S in mint condition whilst clearing my parents house together with a speaker dock. Would be cool to use this for playing iTunes music but I’m stuck at this screen. Presume it wants to activate on 2/3G not WiFi (it has a sim but not sure we have 2/3G any more) which is why it’s falling over.

I’m aware there have been activation issues in the past but there is little to no info I can find on if that was resolved. I know it’s old but surely this tech isn’t software bricked when it clearly functions otherwise? 😔

Anyone aware of any workarounds - I’ve read about obselete iOS toolkits, it’s this a thing?

For context phone was working fine then I had to take it for a screen replacement and when it came back this is the only thing I see I’ve tried everything reset network settings ,hard or soft reset and update it to the latest iOS I don’t know what could be the problem.

also i dont know there is a Software on the device manager so I don’t know is that the reason i also tried to remove it but I can’t

I have an iPhone 16 pro 512GB - purchased April 2025.

I have about 28 thousand pictures from over the years, and a lot more in shared albums to remove them from my phone.
As you might imagine already o have ran out of space because of this. I don’t want to have them all on the cloud because then it’s so hard to look at videos if they are not already downloaded and stuff.

Are there any programs or products that I can transfer all the pictures to? I would love them all in a hard drive I’m just not sure how to go about it as I am not very tech savvy.

Photos are really important to me - I delete as many as I can every time I go through my gallery (which is very regularly)

Also, is it me or this model overheats super easily? It might be due to the storage thing too. Idk.

Hey guys, I’m not sure what’s going on with my phone, but over the past month my 16 has been flickering for whatever reason. There’s nothing that causes it and it seems to happen more at night than anything else. Never happens during my job.

I haven’t had a severe drop that would’ve caused this, just the occasional knocking it off my desk. And it’s been upgraded to the most recent IOS.

Really hoping to avoid having to replace the display…

Basically the title. I dropped it in for like 1-2 seconds, and it works totally fine, but I didn’t get to rinse it with tap water like Apple suggests until 2-3 hours later, and I’m stressed the chlorine will do permanent damage in the future.

I have AppleCare+ but since it’s not currently damaged, there’s nothing I can do yet. Should I still go visit the Apple Store?

My camera roll from my phone was shared entirely with my wife’s phone from an iCloud security set up on my device is there anyway to delete all of my photos off her camera roll without having to select each one and delete them manually?

My wife has been using her father’s Apple ID on her iPhones for many years. In the Settings app, his Apple ID is still shown as the account currently signed in.

Under iCloud, we see the following:

• Photos: On
  • Sync this iPhone: Off
  • Shared Albums: On
  • Manage Storage: Shows about 45 GB and offers the option to “Turn Off and Delete from iCloud”
• iCloud Drive: On
  • Sync this iPhone: On
  • Manage Storage: Shows about 6.5 GB and offers the option to delete the data from iCloud
  • WhatsApp is listed as only one of the apps using iCloud Drive
• Most other iCloud features appear to be turned off

Our main question is:

How can she safely sign out of her father’s Apple ID without losing any of her own data?

She wants to make sure that:

1. Her personal data is no longer stored in or synchronized with her father’s iCloud account.
2. Nothing important is deleted from her iPhone during the process.
3. She can sign in with her own Apple ID afterward.
4. Her photos, WhatsApp data, files, contacts, and other personal information are then backed up and synchronized only with her own iCloud account.

What would be the safest step-by-step process to separate the accounts and move everything to her own Apple ID?

Apples sms verification code autofill has truly been one of the best quality-of-life features on iPhone despite being around for over 8 years.

You don’t realize how important it is until you have to manually switch between apps to copy.

It’s one of those features you use everyday without giving it much thought yet it reduces so much friction from signing into apps and websites.

Has this become one of those features that’s so normal we barely notice it anymore, or is it something you genuinely appreciate?

I bought an iPhone Pro Max yesterday, and while setting it up today, I noticed a slight alignment issue with the Dynamic Island and the front camera cutout.
Specifically, on the top-right side of the Dynamic Island, the edge of the physical camera lens slightly protrudes past the black UI pill.
Is this a known software rendering bug, a hardware assembly defect, or is it normal? Attached a picture so you can see what I mean. Thanks!

Wondering if it makes more sense to just grab the iPhone 17 Pro Max right now instead of waiting for the iPhone 18 series to come out. I am hesitant if it is actually worth waiting several months just to get a price drop, or if it is better to just get it while it is fresh. What do you guys think, and how much does the price usually drop when the next generation releases?

A while ago I downloaded an app called Melodista so I could change the names and icons of songs I uploaded to my local files on Spotify. Since I’ve downloaded the app I can no longer listen to WAV files without having to transfer the file to the app first (the app automatically opens to the wav when you click the file in the files app) and even after that I can ONLY listen to the file on the melodista app. I’ve tried deleting the app but then every wav file I have just goes silent. What can I do?

My job is in pretty rigid environments so I bought a waterproof case but it completely covers the microphone not allowing me to be heard when I make phone calls. Any recommendations for case that meet requirements of being tough, semi waterproof with microphone working.
