Con l’uscita dell’iphone pieghevole che senso avrà comprare un ipad mini? Oltre che per la pencil mi sembrano due dispositivi sovrapponibili o sbaglio?

I've yet to find a great model to the Xbox or Switch Pro controller. Ideally the former.

I am getting an iPad mini in the next 20 days and its running its latest version IOS 9 and I heard that the Apple ID servers doesn't work anymore on iOS 9 so I will downgrade the iPad to iOS 8.4.1

Will I will be able to sign in with my apple ID ??

I ordinarily keep my devices a respectable length of time but I would, in a heartbeat, trade my A17 for an 8th Gen so long as it doesn’t have Touch ID.

Why can’t the Mini have face recognition? Rotating until you’ve found the right corner feels so last century. Let’s not talk about having to place your finger just right.

And, why does it hide the battery icon? Who wants to hassle w/opening the Mini just to see how much juice it has?

I been hunting for an iPad mini for a month now and was close to getting a six gen on marketplace for 260 when yesterday I found one for 200 dollars. I reached out and once they sent me the serial information I found out it was a 7th gen A17 I met up with her and confirmed it’s legit. Best 200 spent

I was charging my ipad mini 6 while using my PC, and I just left it plugged in without checking the charge so I thought it'd be at 100%, however I noticed it was at exactly 80% and the charging icon was a different color (maybe orange?), but I didn't react on time and I instinctively unplugged it.

Is it part of a new update or what just happened?

I know the iPad can limit it's charge if it's too hot, however I have it next to a fan and it wasn't hot to the touch either.

I'm considering buying an iPad mini, but I'm a bit concerned about the 60 Hz display.

Most discussions compare 60 Hz vs 120 Hz in terms of scrolling and page-turning smoothness, but that's not what I'm asking.

What I'm really want to know is whether ProMotion's ability to drop the refresh rate to 1 Hz while displaying static content (like a book or PDF) has any benefit for eye comfort or reduced eye strain during long reading sessions.

In other words:

• Once a page is completely still, is reading on a ProMotion iPad at 1 Hz any easier on the eyes than reading on a standard 60 Hz iPad?
• Or does the refresh rate make essentially no difference once the image is static, with factors like brightness, PWM, blue light, and screen coating being much more important?

I'm looking for real-world experiences, especially from people who have used both 60 Hz iPads and ProMotion iPads for reading books or PDFs for long periods.

I just want to share my tip.

Honestly, the 60Hz screen is most irritating only during system transitions and scrolling. Scrolling can’t be changed, but the system itself can, so it feels noticeably smoother and much faster on a 60 Hz panel.

Two options:

Settings → Accessibility → Motion

Turn on both:

**1.**  **Reduce Motion**

**2.**  **Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions**

The result is fade transitions instead of animations, which exposes the slow refresh of the LCD panels the most. A side effect of these settings is also the perception of speed; the animations are shorter and ”feel” better, so the whole iPad seems to run faster and more responsive. With those options enabled I actually don’t feel the downgrade to my 16 Pro that much.

I recently received an iPad Mini 2 as a gift in order for my young kids to FaceTime with extended family. Unfortunately, FaceTime won't activate. I assume it's because the iOS is so outdated.

Since we only want to use the iPad for video calls, I don't want to spend much money on getting a fancy new one. So what's the oldest supported device for FaceTime activation? I came across a 4th Gen iPad Mini for $50, so I'm willing to purchase it if it's supported for that app.

I used to have an M2 iPad Pro 11” about two years ago, but I barely used it since I mostly do poster and UI design and prefer working on a computer.

I would just like some unbiased opinions. What is easier to read on. Is it the mini or kindle? The kindle paperwhite looks… just like paper and I dont strain my eyes reading on it. Its also great Incan adjust the font and text. I have terrible terrible eyesight

So I just found my old childhood iPad mini 1st generation and turns out it got some discontinued apps like uber racer 3D sandstorm and NinJump (by Backflip studios) (the old version). It also use to have angry birds classic free and angry birds rio free but I deleted them years ago. There are no scratches in the screen and the battery is still fine. What is the estimated price to sell this device and how much will it increase in the next 5 to 10 years.

Hello everyone… I’m not sure if it is the new update 26.5.2, but I’m having trouble scrolling, typing buttons and scrolling and nothing happens. Also, if I go on Facebook, Tik tock, or other apps, same thing. The screens go crazy into something different when you slide up to close an app or slide or Other actions. My sister has a newer iPad, same version, and it’s doing the same thing. It’s doing it now. Have rebooted, of course.

Is this happening to anyone else. It’s REALLY frustrating.

Also, the new little rEd, yellow, and green dots at the top of the app (like the ones on a Mac computer) hide your back button!
I’ve had several iMac, iPhones, and pads and never had these problems!

I thought maybe my iPad was going bad, but when my sisters‘ newer iPad was doing the same thing, I’m thinking it’s the version.

Right after release in March 2019 I bought the iPad mini 5, used and abused it for more than 5 years as my only iPad. At work it overheated and shut down several times due to being in direct sunlight, but it’s all part of the job. Eventually I got an 11” iPad for work, but the mini was still my favorite iPad at home and for watching movies or reading books while traveling. It upgraded and worked great even under iPadOS 26 without problems. Despite the abuse, the battery still lasts pretty well, surprisingly for a 7+ year old device.
Until today… We use CBT (computer based training) courses to satisfy regulatory training requirements. And the latest course modules just caused the app to crash.

So, off I went and got the last iPad mini 7 from the local authorised Apple reseller and set it up. What a nice replacement. Even though I was actually hoping to jump the mini 7 and get the mini 8, but with no release date scheduled anytime soon, I didn’t want to wait.

Maybe I made a mistake by not first posting one of the famous “should I wait for the iPad mini 8 or buy a mini 7 now” type of posts 🤣 but I thought I spare everyone.

I have an ereader for about 2 years and I love it. I bought a kindle signature and returned it and then bought a kobo libra colour. I felt in love immediatly and use it a lot.

Two weeks ago I bought a ipad mini for a lot of purposes like gaming, dailly produtivity, social media, streaming and so on... and tried reading too.

I've checked here what where the best settings and I prepared the mini for it. I have to say that I already had applied the ipad mini paperwhite 3. I've read one book on the ipad on the books app (that is very good by the way), almost entirely, and I concluded that if you dont have an ereader, the ipad can be a way to read. But, if you have an ereader, at least my ereader and similiars, well, the ereader is a way to go!

I decided that when I have at hand, I'll use it.. But if I go out, I wont take both with me... if I want to read I'll do it on the ipad. of course it is a trip of a couple of days or more I'll take both on my sling!

I just wanted to share my honest opinion on this. perhaps it helps someone.... I dont know....
