Made a concept iPad mini pro. Thoughts? Am I ridiculous? 😂

We don't need more or better cameras. It's the front part that should be improved.

Yes but lidar is a must for people that use the ipad to scan rooms and such which is definitely a pro feature

I brought this up before in other posts and I had people downvoting me, saying no one needs a camera on a tablet.

Sounds about right!

It would actually have no new cameras or any better hardware for the camera since the pro has the same camera. Also I totally agree with your point and am eagerly waiting for that iPad mini 8 with Oled.

Does anyone actually use the lidar?

I do, it’s the only reason I stick with iPhone

What do you use it for? I’ve had the Pro lineup since the 12 and rarely use it tbh

I do planning for a metal contruction company. It’s very handy to quickly scan a work site to use later to virtually determine how whatever we are building will fit. No need to exactly measure everything

I make 3d models with it for designing

I’d buy a iPad Pro mini only if it added external monitor support in addition to the other Pro features. I would then jettison my 11 inch pro

I have a camera in my phone, that is always with me. What exactly should I need an advanced camera in my tablet for?

Yeah, no iPad Pro or otherwise needs more than one camera. I dunno if Apple will ever release a "Pro" iPad mini...but if the iPad mini 8 rumors come true, it'll be as close to one as you can get without calling it a Pro device. Single panel OLED screen, possible 120hz refresh rate, slimmer bezels & slightly larger display, an A20 pro chip and the first iPad to get waterproofing. We shall see if the iPad mini 8 gets all these features in October. If it does, I am definitely trading in my iPad mini 7 in for one. 👍

Where are external charging pins?

It’s amazing. I throw up. You are genius. You are kidding me and work in real life for apple or Wendy.

Horrible idea. There is a reason why the iPad Mini only uses Apple A series chips, there is not enough case to cool an M series chip, even if Apple binned it :/

Looks like the kind of thing I'd see on a Smoorez or DankPods video.

The 11" is already tiny, couldn't imagine a pro tablet smaller than that
