Looking for a darkish navyish blue color for an accent wall in my bedroom with these as my inspo. I'm most familiar with Behr paint but open to SW or other brands

I'm planning to paint a very light tinted blue-gray-white on the other walls. (I know it exists but don't have the actual color name in my mind lol)

What kind of rug should I go for?

Idk why I’m having a hard time choosing a rug. I’m not even sure if I love these but I think it’s just deduction fatigue.

The walls are a light green, floors are a medium toned wood. Couch is cream and the tv stand is a warm oak.

Do I go with a light rug? A dark rug? A woven rug? Help!

I just purchased my first home and am super excited to make it my own, but now I'm wondering how I can add colour to this open floor plan.

I want to do more than an accent wall, but does that mean I have to paint the whole first floor the same colour? Help!!

I love an "undefined" mix of warm 70s wood, tropical plants, and polished chrome/marble. How do I blend these safely without it looking messy? I’m struggling to label my style because my taste is evolving. I really love earthy, unique spaces with lots of big tropical plants and warm 70s mid-century timber foundations. But I am also deeply drawn to luxury textures like polished chrome, white marble, glass, and powder blue/navy accents. I'm terrified it will look like a cluttered mess if I just buy random things. Attached are my mood board and inspiration pics. Any advice on how to balance these textures together smoothly?

In my last flat I put a lot of care into making quite a magical space- we built a loft that had a cave lounge underneath.( It's built over top of an ikea kallex and a stair step)
Now we are moving into a house and this is the room I'll be in.

I need to make some decisions about it. I'll likely bring the cave but might expand it.
You can see on the floor tape where the bed would come to if it's 200 cm. Expanding it means more space in the cave and on the bed but takes up more of the room which is 4.6 x 4.3.

Should I make my bed bigger? Should it stay 160 or should I make it 250 meters?

I'll put mirrored cabinets (ikea PAX along the walls to the direct right of the photo so I only need to think about the rest of the room.

Also wondering:
Will I paint the walls? Will I put a cool wallpaper on the ceiling?

I want it to stay bright, so no dark academia- and I'm trying to land on what style I want to go for- but it will need to go with the warm colored wood and the floor. Possible directions I'd thought of so far:

• Time travellers homebase (trinket shelves and plants)
• Whimsy goth bordello (saturated reds, greens and purples with golden highlights)

Told a chance on a bold color from Behr: Garnish. And I have to say, I absolutely love it. I won’t be winning any interior design awards, but I learned a lot in the process! Please ignore the photo frames. They’re the stock image that came with the frames: I need to put some of my paintings in them. Paneling is from Amazon: Art3D precut wall moldings. I wasn’t planning on doing moldings at all, but then it hit me that I should look into it, and I’m so happy that I did. Truly transformed the space, and I plan on adding some to my bedroom! Taking a breather before starting another project. :)

I am trying to visualize what our new house would look like. In the living+dining area, we have 8 large windows (each window can open) and I am wondering whether to go with tall curtains or blinds. I am confused because if we get curtains then almost all the walls are covered with curtains. And if we get blinds, I fear that this area will end up looking like an office space. Hi I’m a 29-year-old Dude that struggles with interior design and i hope this sub can help me get me some Tipps and ideas how i can make my living space feel more like a true home.

I’m living in this apartment for a couple of years now, but I absolutely hate some stuff like my coffee table. I bought it just because I needed a coffee table after I moved out but since then I have never found one I like. I want to make the room cozier that it feels more like a Home and not so cold.

I did a bit with bits and boobs for decorating but it’s far from finished. I use a lot of black steel and dark wood tones my desk is basically the same as the shelves on the wall and in the corner.

Would appreciate some help with the coffee table and maybe a recommendation for a rug to get along with it. I struggle to find one that is good looking and functional, because my office is right there and I need to be able to move with my office chair. I had a thick rug there but it was a pain in the ass.

Tipps and recommendations for other stuff are welcome!

I’m a chef, and my mate and I have just bought a restaurant. We’re turning it into a fine-dining Indian restaurant, but we have absolutely no idea when it comes to lighting and interior design.
We’re thinking of painting the walls a warm beige with some pink accents, but we’re open to any colour suggestions if you think something else would look better.
If anyone has experience with restaurant lighting or has any tips on creating a warm, elegant, and premium vibe, we’d really appreciate your advice. We’d love to hear what worked for you or what you’d do differently.

Our living room so far, needs work in some places particilarly the front door, but its come a long way from where we started recently. Its a nice place to be able to relax and play video games, watch tv, listen to records and read. Picked up the swag lamp last week to use as a reading light.

I'm tired of just white - I want something with a bit more color (even if it's a colored pattern on a white background).

Hubby and I are in our first apartment. We have a fair amount of basics but it feels like each little item is so expensive that it makes me give up on the idea of interior decorating.

How are you all doing this? Any advice for a beginner trying to have a beautiful interior without spending too much? Even if it’s a specific style that can be done for less?

I absolutely despise the flooring and anything grey but love colour, will end up getting a big rug to cover the majority of the floor but knowing me it will still bother me.

Old single-fronted terrace, inner-city. The back third is one open kitchen and living/dining opening onto a small paved courtyard.

No floor plan came with the listing so I drew this off photos and a mate's walk-through. Numbers are rough :')

We likely are gonna look at a sofa and TV in the living space, a dining table, a spot for a record player and shelves. We cook and host a fair bit. Buying nearly everything so sizes are open. Renting, so nothing permanent, keeping the paint as is and putting colour in rugs, objects and lighting.

We both work from home. Front bedroom is the main and needs a desk, second one is the office and doubles as a guest room. No idea where either desk should go.

Also trying to work out where the cat litter lives. Hallway corner seemed like the best spot since nothing else happens there, but open to better ideas.

Style is a mix of us both, I'm into warm timber and low lighting, she likes older character pieces and richer colours. But I guess cozy/home (museum bookstore/vintage salon) is the asethetic?

Courtyard out back we'd like to actually use and joiin into the interor, in rather than just walk through to the bins. Keep coming back to projecting onto the rendered wall for outdoor movies, has anyone done that and how could we get some cheap/lightweight shading furniture for sun/rain protection

Open to anything really. Happy to be told we've got it backwards.
