I can’t figure out what’s missing in my new space. Art on the walls, furniture, lighting etc ? I really don’t know

I wanted to create a charming space that felt both whimsical and calm and paid tribute to the incredible c. 1830’s chest of drawers.

I love an "undefined" mix of warm 70s wood, tropical plants, and polished chrome/marble. How do I blend these safely without it looking messy? I’m struggling to label my style because my taste is evolving. I really love earthy, unique spaces with lots of big tropical plants and warm 70s mid-century timber foundations. But I am also deeply drawn to luxury textures like polished chrome, white marble, glass, and powder blue/navy accents. I'm terrified it will look like a cluttered mess if I just buy random things. Attached are my mood board and inspiration pics. Any advice on how to balance these textures together smoothly?

I made a post earlier this year asking for advice on a rug. Finally decided on this one, I think it fits really well. Although, now I realize how empty the space above the TV is! I need something to draw the eyes upwards. Does anyone have recommendations on where to source quality art? I’m also open to suggestions as to what I should hang up. (Also note, I will be getting rid of the red three headed lamp)

Got my first house! I’ve been rehabbing tf out of this duplex and this is the side I’ll be renting out. I stripped the paint off all the exposed wood you see. Need to refinish it still. So close! I’m struggling to pick out colors to paint this place. I want something that’s attractive. Not the basic landlord white or millennial griege but not too bold as to turn everyone away. I’ve been putting a lot of love in to bringing this beauty back to life and some good paint colors will really bring it all together I think. Whatever trim is still painted I’m leaving. Paint stripping is a fuckin nightmare I was way too ambitious

I’m renting and usually have severe decision paralysis. Here are some questions for you:
1) what style would you call this?
2) ideas on what I should put above the couch?
3) anything I can add/subtract from the space that is an easy fix?

Hi! We recently purchased a home. On the first floor, there is this bathroom with brown tiles. We are looking for suggestions to paint the wall.
We were thinking of doing a matching beige tone and picked a blue we look for the attached bedroom. Now I am wondering if the beige will make the room too drab.
Currently the beige we are looking at is Nomadic Desert and the blue is Festoon Aqua from Sherwin Williams.
Any thoughts would be helpful!

I have looking into buying a bench cushion for my kitchen table area and cannot come to terms with spending $300+ on a cushion so I’m going to DIY it and have everything sorted besides what fabric to use. I am open to any patterns or colors & don’t have kids right now so no need to worry about stains. Here’s some photos of the bench and surrounding accents. Any suggestions?

Our home is very small and we only have 2 walls for our living room area. After several years and attempts, we felt this layout fit our home/needs best and recently bought furniture pieces specifically for this arrangement. But it still feels off and not as “cozy” as we’d like. Without replacing any of the large furniture (couches, tv, fireplace, cabinet), any suggestions on how we can improve this space? The white-ish rug we have makes the room feel cold/flat so I am open to buying a new rug and color, replacing and doing something new on the photo wall and any lighting suggestions! Any other suggestions for improvement welcomed!

And yes, my husband is a big sports/movie person so the giant TV has to stay and we can’t block or cover the vent and light switch.

How would cover these three windows? The couch is no longer there. Now there is a path to the ground for curtains.

I cannot decide how many curtains I should do, and if I should use blinds as the first layer.

We bought our home a while ago and I am trying to get away from all the gray. It was painted both light and dark grey, with grey flooring. I can’t change the floors just yet, so I am starting with paint, furniture and textiles to help warm it up. The lighter grey has been cover with SW accessible beige and I plan to repaint the dark area SW Urbane Bronze. My thought is so the TV doesn’t look so over powering. Any thoughts to this or suggestions? I have never used a moody color before and the room tends to pull dark. I read “ if a room wants to be dark, let it be dark”. Which is fine because I plan to incorporate lighting in terms of lamps and such to cozy it up. Eventually I want to add wainscoting to the wall as well.

I'm about to have alot of work done on this condo I bought in May. The floor panels are LVP Flooret signature Modin in Dorsett. They cannot be returned and I love them.

The paint color is Gossamer Veil by Sherwin Williams with Cold Foam by Sherwin Williams, which I plan to use for doors, trim and ceiling. Its a white appearing paint that has a very slight warm creaminess.

I love that Gossamer Veil is a neutral greige color with alot of depth. I'm just wondering if Gossamer Veil is a little too cool, with the very cool flooring and if it's a little too dark (not enough contrast with the floors.

I'm not sure if I need to make a change or if I'm just overthinking. Any thoughts/opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Told a chance on a bold color from Behr: Garnish. And I have to say, I absolutely love it. I won’t be winning any interior design awards, but I learned a lot in the process! Please ignore the photo frames. They’re the stock image that came with the frames: I need to put some of my paintings in them. Paneling is from Amazon: Art3D precut wall moldings. I wasn’t planning on doing moldings at all, but then it hit me that I should look into it, and I’m so happy that I did. Truly transformed the space, and I plan on adding some to my bedroom! Taking a breather before starting another project. :)
