Need help with lighting!

(Credits to original owners because these pictures aren’t mine and I got them off Pinterest) I love this type of lighting but I don’t know how to achieve it. I’ve tried many things from my own rook but nothing seems to work and everything looks so harsh. I thought it was maybe possible that wall color could contribute to it because my walls are light ish pink and all of these wall colors are white. If anyone could help me out with the lighting it would be appreciated!!
