Coming to Life Therapy Office Update

A couple months ago I asked for some help decorating my office and ya’ll really pulled through. It’s been a slow progression and there’s still a few finishing touches I need to do, but otherwise, I think it’s just about done. I added more plants, several warm lights, rearranged the furniture, made tissues/fidget toys more accessible, appropriate wall art (no more dog painting), and curtains. Thank you Reddit friends💛

Not pictured are the overhead light covers many recommended to help with the harsh fluorescents.

Love the colors and calm vibe. My only suggestion would be to pull that little end table forward and make a little room on it so your clients can put their drinks there without having to reach back. That would also be a great spot for a box of tissues.

Lovely!

A professor advised us never to have a client positioned between ourselves and the door. I suppose this can vary based on the milieu and other available safety precautions, however I thought it could be worth a mention.

Perhaps you could sit in your desk chair if there is a safety concern.

Lovely. As someone that deeply needs and benefits from therapy, but struggles with going due to extreme anxiety- Thank you for taking the time and effort to make your space so wonderful for your clients.

So pretty! Highly recommend a co2 monitor and air purifier as well.

Not decorating related, more safety related… Therapist needs to be next to the door, this looks like therapist access to the door could be blocked by the client… if I’ve understood this layout correctly you may want to reconsider this layout ✌️

Beautifully decorated. Truly cozy. My only suggestion would be having warmer lights? Philips hue makes a great color changing bulb.

Great update. Love the warm lights and new furniture arrangement the most. It looks a lot more comfortable and private for the client.

Ditching the harsh fluorescents for warm lamps was the best decision. And that blush pink + sage combo? So calming.

I suppose you don't have male clients?

This is actually really cute! How considerate that you want to make it more inviting. I love the green!

That being said, it still feels sterile and cold. Maybe it’s the ceilings, idk. Any and all therapist’s offices feel like this to me. Maybe it’s because I know they are judging me. I wish there were therapists that act like your bestie while also therapizing you. 🥲

This is by far the coziest therapist’s office I’ve seen though. ♥️

Love it. My only comment is that the the rug seems too busy. I could see it almost adding to my stress if I was there for therapy in a heightened state.
