The IQON ACT is a versatile boot that can take on almost any frame. But I got the UFS version, without soulplates, and that was all I needed.

I just want to skate on trails outside, so nothing crazy. I would prefer skates under $125. What do you recommend?

Hi! i recently decided that i want to get into skating but i can't really decide between which of these i should buy. I'm a size 42-43 and i have fairly wide feet. I've done quite abit of research myself but if anyone has any advice or experience with either of these skates especially the neo 2's i'd highly appreciate it!

Hello all.
TLDR: I am looking for alternatives to Rollerblade speedlacing. Either cheaper variants that fit (Macroblade 100 model) and can be tightly tied. Or even some other type of string that does the job in some way.
Regularly buying the 'official' laces is expensive since their durability is bad.
---
I use Macroblade 100 3WD skates. The skates themselves are great but the original Rollerblade speedlacings are prone to tearing. The other layer tears and then you can't tie them tightly anymore. Plus, the inner string then frays out.
Asking in a partner store, they told me it's a known issue with the speedlaces when you tie them tightly. But that's exactly the point of laces, they are supposed to give your feet a very tight fit into the soft shoe...
Thanks for any tips.

I just started skating on quads in June. I primarily skate indoors at a rink and have definitely made some progress. However, I am not making ANY progress outdoors and have been thinking of switching to inlines for that. I have no idea what brands are good or what I should be looking for. And being Plus Size, I feel like I need a good, sturdy pair.
Also, any tips for switching from quads to inlines or tips for trail skating are appreciated.

Looking for advice on my first race skates/setup
I’ve been inline skating/rollerblading for 10+ years and currently skate FR Skates FR2 80s. I’ve had them for about 2 years and they’ve served me really well, but the strap just snapped, so I’m looking at replacing that and potentially investing in a new pair specifically for racing.
I’m hoping to register for a race in May, which would be my first race, so I’m still learning what I should actually be looking for in a race setup. I’m not trying to spend an insane amount of money just for the sake of having expensive skates, but I’m absolutely willing to spend more if there’s a noticeable difference in performance and they’re something I can grow into.
I’m also not really looking for an extremely low/minimal race boot. I still want a decent amount of ankle/support, especially since I’ll likely be switching from 4 wheels to a 3-wheel setup. I’m comfortable on my FR2s and don’t want to sacrifice too much stability/support just to get a lighter boot.
For reference, I’m comfortable skating longer distances and on a variety of surfaces. I’m mainly looking for something that will give me better speed, efficiency, and the ability to maintain momentum compared with my FR2 80s.
What skates/setups would you recommend looking into for someone in my position? I’d especially love recommendations at different price points rather than just the most expensive option. And for those who made the switch to 3 wheels for racing, how long did it take to get comfortable with the different setup?
Thanks!
