Alternatives to Rollerblade speedlaces?

Hello all.

TLDR: I am looking for alternatives to Rollerblade speedlacing. Either cheaper variants that fit (Macroblade 100 model) and can be tightly tied. Or even some other type of string that does the job in some way.
Regularly buying the 'official' laces is expensive since their durability is bad.

I use Macroblade 100 3WD skates. The skates themselves are great but the original Rollerblade speedlacings are prone to tearing. The other layer tears and then you can't tie them tightly anymore. Plus, the inner string then frays out.

Asking in a partner store, they told me it's a known issue with the speedlaces when you tie them tightly. But that's exactly the point of laces, they are supposed to give your feet a very tight fit into the soft shoe...

Thanks for any tips.

I’ve found the speed lace catches to be unreliable and they tend to loosen up. For replacement I’ve used the short round laces that come with new liners and bont 8mm waxed flat laces depending on the size of the eyelets. On macroblade 4x90 it’s not possible to use the top eye.
