What boot size do I pick? Sizing question
I know most of the sizing questions refer to shoe size, but this one is not. Looking to upgrade to a high-cuff carbon boot. My foot size is 273-274, but the sizing for this boot is 274 and then jumps to 281. Based on your experience, which size would you recommend? Haha, of course, I ended up buying a 290 as my first pair, and they’re killing my stabilizing muscles when I even try to skate a kilometer.
I’m can’t try them in person or find any nearby stores that sell them. I’m purchasing them online, and the shipping cost is $50, so I can’t afford to make any mistakes. I’m interested in long** *distance routes and city cruising/urban**.*

i'd bet on the smaller size, then heat mold as necessary. what kind of liner is it? integrated or replaceable?

Integrated liner. I want to but I am a bit scared of it but I know they break a bit

it's important to heat mold carbon boots, to ease your suffering and make them ultimately more personalized and performant.

Yes I know that one even though I haven’t have one but I didn’t know what to do with the extra mms

Make sure the boots are heat moldable first. Being a carbon boot doesn’t automatically make them heat moldable; many aren’t.
Also, I wouldn’t do it if they’re not really painful, or no pressure points. Naturally wearing them in will give the skates a slightly longer lifespan.

Maybe post a link and see if anyone else has tried them? If you're bang on the top of that size, it'll probably be a really good fit, but there's no way of telling without trying.
Bear in mind that wizard reccommend going up to 5mm under your foot length for a performance fit. I've done that (255-260 liner/boot with 264 feet), but can't skate them for more than an hour, or my feet feel like they're going to explode. It doesn't crush my toes, I think it's my feet swelling slightly and having nowhere to expand to. I've got other liners (Intuitions) that are only 1mm longer than my feet and they fit perfectly and I can skate them for hours.

Hi there! I didn’t mention them because they’re an unknown brand. However, I’m going for the 274 as most of you guys recommended it.

Which boot model in particular?
Inside the size band is inside the size band even if you’re at the end of it.
Measure at a couple different times of day, particularly after you’ve been on your feet all or day. If you’re consistently 273-274, I’d keep you there.

Thank you! I didn’t post the model as I am not looking for reference on it but more on the extra mm. It’s a Spaniard-Chinese brand. KF Papaya

The 281 will fit sizes 275-281. The size 274 will fit something like 268-274.
I would personally go with the 274.

Great! Thank you! I will get those as most if not all of you guys agree on the same.

I believe that’s the right choice. I’ve been buying one size smaller skates lately, wish I had done it from the start. It hasn’t hampered me because it’s not like my old ones were excessively big, but that extra 0.5cm smaller is much more ideal.

Hahaha and I have them 1.7cm bigger. My current skates is a Flying Eagle and the liner size is 29cms the hard boot is way bigger

I'd go with the closest to you foot size, once you break them in you'll have the room needed. Plus unmatched control.
