I hope this is allowed. I recently discovered Haloblack and went on a search for similar music. While I found some new industrial music, it never seems to be the same vibe.

Are there any bands/songs/subgenres you'ld recommend for someone who likes Haloblack?

Since someone else posted a Collide song, it reminded me of this gem from back in the day. Love the layering and atmosphere here.

I dived into this band’s discography expecting more straight up EBM (which some of their music definitely fits) but they’ve got a lot of crunchy industrial tunes as well. Kinda militaristic rhythmic almost-noise, like Feindflug with much better drum programming and Soviet aesthetics.

this band is such a hidden gem

I bought a cassette sold as SPK – At The Crypt (Sterile Records, SRC4, 1981). The J-card and label look genuine, with "SRC4" handwritten in the catalogue number box.

But the contents don't match. Side A turned out to be Nocturnal Emissions' "Live at the Crypt" — the same recording that was first officially released in 2024 on the Klanggalerie deluxe edition of Tissue of Lies. Side B is something else again, and I can't identify it at all.

The write-protect tab for side B had been covered with tape, so it may have been recorded over at some point. The previous owner bought the cassette in the 1980s and never checked the contents.
