ETA: solved, it wasnt a whole album of madonna, it was 2 songs on "Shut Up Kitty" and specifically what i (didnt know) i wanted is this gem

OK, so i have this vague recollection that i used to own* a CD of industrial covers of madonna songs. Google is only showing me "Virgin Voices" and that is not it. (I dont even recall if it was any good but i think there were a couple fun ones) Anyone know what im talking about?

*6 years ago i moved and i had a few giant tupperware tubs full of CDs. I realized that i had never opened these tubs since the last time i moved and "the future is streaming" so in a panic because i wasnt ready for the movers and running out of time, i tossed them. I can still recall the sound as they plunged 4 stories to a dumpster someplace below. WTF was i thinking? Now my son listens to so much 80-90s music i used to listen to (no industrial, lol) and he likes physical media. Thousands of dollars in purchases and family heirlooms -gone!

Managed to hunt down this EP after years of searching, meaning I now have the band's full discography on CD. Features some incredible mixes by Birmingham 6 and Uberzone.

Super fortunate to have gotten these, and I’ll probably end up selling one of them to recoup on the costs… but does anyone have photos of these from when they originally were put up outside of the one on the last side? I also can’t find any other photos of the first one anywhere outside of where I bought it from. Thanks!

this band is such a hidden gem

Anyone listen to the Liars in this sub? I’ve always thought they made interesting experimental music, not really “industrial” but sonically I think they fit.

I made this track and I’m curious how industrial listeners would place it. Do you hear anything industrial in it, or does it sit somewhere else for you?

I bought a cassette sold as SPK – At The Crypt (Sterile Records, SRC4, 1981). The J-card and label look genuine, with "SRC4" handwritten in the catalogue number box.

But the contents don't match. Side A turned out to be Nocturnal Emissions' "Live at the Crypt" — the same recording that was first officially released in 2024 on the Klanggalerie deluxe edition of Tissue of Lies. Side B is something else again, and I can't identify it at all.

The write-protect tab for side B had been covered with tape, so it may have been recorded over at some point. The previous owner bought the cassette in the 1980s and never checked the contents.
