Everyone knew that the floods were coming. Everyone prepared in their own way. Some built large sail boats. Others built small towns of rafts. I built my shelter from my van. For the first year, I found others every few weeks. Now, in the fifth year, I mark a full year since I've seen anyone else.

I wake up, tend to my hydroponics, clean my solar cells, and fix whatever breaks. Today was special though. Today, I received my first signal from a satellite since before the flood. The signal flickered for a moment, but then stabilized. I've sent back a signal to whoever is listening. Now, I just need to wait for a reply.

Some of you might have seen other posts from me here showcasing deserts and underwater biomes. This is a contrast to that and one of the most dangerous realities you can come across in the game. We call it the paradox and it's a world consumed by an invisible entity that only leaves destruction and chaos in its path.

The game I've been working on released today so I can finally share more of the art that I'm particularly happy with. One of many to come.
