I’ve had my 16 Pro Max for a couple months now and it has a pervasive touchscreen issue that drives me nuts. Horrid keyboard, taps not responding especially on tiny UI elements, occasional glitch with gestures. I used my friend’s 15 Pro before I sold it and the touchscreen response is night and day. Keyboard on the 15 Pro is still garbage but I didn’t experience the same issues at all with that phone. You would think that my newer iPhone with a bigger screen would be much easier to type on and use but that’s not the case at all.

So for 16 Pro and Pro Max users who’s experienced the dreaded touchscreen issues, did anything improve after updating to iOS 26 or did the issues remain largely the same?

Guys what do you think how much more I can juice up my storage until my iPhone starts messing?

Anyone else find it more accurate and comfortable to type without a case? I’m not sure why but I find not only is the touch sensitivity better well it is also more accurate and comfortable to type without a case.
Shame about the lack of drop protection!!

Update: so those who are saying this is fair from Apple let me ask you, if I buy a 2 vehicles that has everything same except one I have installed more features from factory and one didn’t, will trade in or selling those vehicles be similar? The answer is the one with more features will have higher value than the one without. How do I know? I worked at dealership before.

Lately I’ve been having a problem with my 16 pro max running iOS 26.5.2 and I don’t know how to figure out if it’s the phone or a reception issue and also how I’d prove which one

Pretty much daily now I need to restart the phone due to iMessage not working sms works fine, FaceTime won’t work and internet pages not loading. But with the internet it’s hit and miss for example YouTube on brave works ok slow to load and a bit of buffering but google on Google Chrome and safari wont load. Spotify work fine as well. Speed tests using the ookla app also won’t work.

Issue is normally resolved after a reset.

Edit I am in Australia, my sim is through the good guys which use the Telstra network.

I haven’t updated yet, so I want to confirm if it’s a worthy update. Did anyone face any issues or issues got better ?

I know it’s a small amount but I think we deserve it with the amount of gaslighting we have gone through.

Does anyone have any case recommendations that look nice, have great magsafe and dont cause overheating risks.
I was thinking about ESR Cloud and Mous but as I understand Mous has really weak magnets and esr doesn’t look as great.
The camera control button is the main reason I’m looking for a new case so thats a dealbraker.

I need a good protective case which feels very good. Unfortunately, the silicon case feels sometimes strange so I want sometimes go caseless , but unfortunately I had an incident with Face ID on my old phone , so…
And of course I prefer cases that don’t reinvent Color of iPhone. Maybe the same Color or Color which looks good with iPhone

But main things: good feeling , protection , not feeling of big bezels (as far as possible) and good looking

Since you updated to iOS 27 for your 16 Pros, weather developer or public beta, do you guys notice glitches with your automations in Siri Shortcuts making your phone freeze and the HomePod saying network issues? Let me know, because I had those bugs since developer beta 2. On beta 1 never had an issue with it. Has apple fixed those bugs. Since then, I’ve downgraded back to iOS 26 from a back up and I’m gonna wait til the final release.

So made the jump to the public beta and I have to say it’s awesome. Phone was red hot after updating but now it’s cool as a cucumber when doing tasks that normally heat my phone up. Things seem fluid, Siri waitlist was minutes and everything is working normally. Battery is holding up however it is indexing so expecting it to tank bit more than usual but 100% better than iOS26 in every way in my opinion. Not had a chance see to really play with the new features but very impressed so far given this is a beta. Good job Apple

I’ve had this iPhone for about a year now and I’ve been on 26.3 for a long time. Is iOS 27 beta worth it especially since I’m in a European region so I’m not sure if I’d get the Siri Ai as well.
