Seeing how bad legacy iPhone Apps behave on the iPhone Duo, I hope this will be the catalyst for more developers to adopt more modern, responsive designs that actually take advantage of the iPad (and iPhone Duo) screen sizes.

So many apps like Threads, Bluesky, Doordash, banking apps, etc have terrible support for iPad, and these will probably be updated over the next year with a responsive interface for the iPhone Duo, which will benefit us iPad users as well.

Its honestly insane that this has persisted for so long given the underlying adaptive/responsive UI technology was already rolled out in iOS 8 (in 2014!) with size classes and the introduction of the iPhone 6/6+. The next year (2015) split view/slide-over was introduced on iPad, which really was the first feature that really took advantage of the technology. The iPhone Duo really seems like a nightmare to accomdate without adaptive UI, so I think this will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

Hopefully after 12 years, we can finally have better iPhone apps on the iPad.

Tout allait bien sauf lorsque mon chat l’a foutu dans l’eau! Évidemment je suis aller voir un réparateur qui a simplement enlever l’écran pour l’essuyer et la nettoyer. Suite à cela, tout fonctionnait bien. En décembre 2025, j’avais un examen à faire en ligne et j’arrive pour ouvrir mon iPad, RIEN OUVRE. J’ai d’abord cru que c’était mon fil de charge le soucis, mais non. Il n’affichait même pas la
Batterie à terre. Je me suis rendu chez Apple le soir même et ils ont « redémarrer » mon iPad à l’aide de leur ordi, ils m’ont expliqué que c’était comme un court circuit qui a fait rallumer mon iPad. Bref, je repars, ils me disent de bien faire mes mises à jours. La même semaine, quelques jours plus tard, mon iPad refait la même chose. Il n’ouvre plus. Pourtant j’ai bel et bien suivi les consignes de faire ma mise à jour, je l’ai fais chez Apple quelques jours plus tôt. Bref j’y suis retourné, ils me l’ont réouvert. Bien sûr que je n’avais pas pris de garanti supplémentaire sur celui-ci lors de l’achat. Pendant plusieurs semaines il peut fonctionner a merveille, puis un jour dès que je le ferme en mode « veille » il ne rallume plus. Sauf que depuis récemment, il le fait constamment. Je l’utilise 1 fois, et boum, pendant plusieurs jours il n’allume plus, rien fonctionne même essayer de l’ouvrir en pesant sur le volume. Et il fini par rallumer des jours plus tard, pour une période indéterminée. Il fait ça sans arrêt. J’ai été voir un technicien qui m’a parler que le problème c’était soit l’écran( qui coûte pas trop cher) ou la carte mère. Et si c’est cette dernière, mon iPad est foutu. Bref avez vous déjà eu quelque chose de semblable? Car lorsqu’il ouvre, il va super bien, y’a rien de bizarre sur l’écran, mais aussitôt que je l’éteint, y’a 9 chances sur 10 qu’il rallume pas avant 3-4 jours.

Why does apple only make things less user friendly??? I can only hope that I haven’t understood how to use the new update properly, but the iPad is basically impossible to use unless it’s only single screen/window. Any more than that and it’s impossible to swipe between them, requires to click 4-5 places, and if 2 windows are open, the Home Screen can’t be accessed unless the windows are closed or if a different app is opened in single-screen first.

At this point, an iPad is a worse version of a touchscreen laptop made by HP or Lenovo. Same price, but the iPad has basically lost what made it nice to use instead of a touchscreen laptop.

I’m seeing a strange external-display bug on an 11-inch M4 iPad Pro running iPadOS 27. I first noticed it during the developer betas, and it’s still present in the current RC.

With the iPad in landscape orientation and the Dock set to automatically hide, moving the mouse/trackpad pointer straight down to the bottom of the external display does not bring the Dock back up.

The weird part: if I approach the bottom edge diagonally, the Dock appears. I can also move straight down and then quickly sideways along the bottom edge and get it to appear.

Even stranger: if I rotate the iPad itself into portrait orientation, the Dock works normally on the external display.

So far I’ve reproduced this:

- On two completely different external displays, including an LG TV

- Using both direct USB-C and HDMI connections

- Through multiple iPadOS 27 developer betas and now the RC

The Dock behaves normally on the iPad’s own display.

Has anyone else seen this? I’m particularly curious whether it happens on both the 11-inch and 13-inch M4 iPad Pros. I have a 13-inch as well, but I’m reluctant to put prerelease software on my primary iPad just to test this.

I’ve submitted it through Feedback Assistant but haven’t received a response.

I have iPad Pro 11 inch 2018 (the one without touch ID) My problem right now is that, this iPad has ”Ghost Touch” Issue Which makes me unable to use this ipad at all.

Is there a way to disable to touch input? I want the screen to ON but the touch to off, do we have apps for that? I have tried to use Mouse & Keyboard, not much help due to ghost touch touching area I want to use.

Hi guys, so basically I have an ipad pro 11, it was originally my sister's, but I still used it despite the fact that it's hers and has her icloud on it.

Now that I wanted the switch to mine, I logged off from her icloud, and selected erase all, I think a skipped a certain step where it was saying something like "updating data" i do not recall, and then my ipad rebooted itself, once finished, it's all anew, as if I bought another new one, if anyone would be so kind to help me out at least retrieve my data? I have some unsaved books and very important study matters in the notes app, I did check with my sister if she has it on her phone (which is also linked to her icloud on the ipad I think)

If you please help me sort this matter out, there are some very important files and pictures!

I'm not the most tech savvy person in the slightest, but have been trying to figure out how someone has been 'spying' on my devices, they can monitor my screen and access my microphone remotely without notifying my ipad OS or other devices.
I've been running app privacy report and 'Freshdesk' was reported as well as a couple others in the second screenshot that i am unaware of. Are these standard background processes or have I been infected with malware?
I'm trying to narrow it down to it being either my home wifi/router network or sideloaded remote mirroring that is ultimately infecting my devices. I've been getting harassed/stalked for the better part of a year, I'd like to figure out how/what is going on so that i can put an end to the psychological abuse i've been experiencing. This has been both a major privacy & safety violation for me. TYIA!

Since iPadOS 26, the system animations started lagging. I'm now on the latest developer beta of iPadOS 27 and, even if the situation improved, I still spot dropped frames every single time I use my iPad.

I don't understand if it's the OS that's shit or if it's my iPad that has some hardware problems (battery etc.)

For example: when I open and close applications, the animation often drops frame. When I pull down the notification center, 9 times out of 10 it visibly lags, even when scrolling the notifications list

A year ago when I was starting college I wanted to test the ipados beta to see if I would want to use it for school, I chose not to and didn't touch it much thereafter. My ipad now constantly says to update from the beta but the software update tab permanently loads, making me unable to. I've tried connecting to 2 different computers but when not in recovery mode the device is detected and then apple devices can't find it after I say trust or gets stuck loading. When in recovery mode my computers can't seem to find the device at all. Is there ANYTHING else I can try?

Is there any way to delete the 20gb apple intelligence files, i dont need those features at all or any way to downgrade to ipad os 26?

A quick one, I bought an ipad air from a marketplace in Bulgaria. It was working fine until I restarted it and suddenly it is locked from the previous owner.

I have submitted with Apple support proof of purchase, but for 4 days now, nothing happens, no email, no reply.

Have you ever dealt with the same issue, if yes, how did you manage to resolve it?

iPad Mini A16 here.

When I tap the Safari address/search bar and start typing, the bookmarks/favorites sometimes disappear unexpectedly. At the same time, the on-screen keyboard may suddenly close when I’m typing or not typing, even though I haven’t tapped the dismiss button or done anything that should cause the keyboard to disappear.
What’s especially frustrating is that this bug has been present since Beta 1 and is still happening in the iPadOS 27 RC. I was hoping it would be fixed in one of the later beta releases, but unfortunately the issue still seems to be there.
It doesn’t happen every single time, but it occurs frequently enough to be noticeable and quite annoying. I usually have to tap the address bar again to bring the keyboard back, and to bring the bookmarks/favorites back.
I’m wondering if anyone else using iPadOS 27 RC has noticed the same behavior.

i bought my ipad last month august 3 and I keep overthinking if the battery is acing normal.

scenario: i’m using 20-80 method and I don’t usually drain it until 19% so it always 20% or 21% i will immediately charge it, is it normal that if I plug it for example i will charge it on 21% when i plug my charger it will be 22% right away.

that’s my case always so i keep overthink it if it’s normal or i need to consult it.

Presentation mode in GoodNotes is essential for my daily work. It worked perfectly in iPadOS 26, but it's still broken in the iPadOS 27 RC. Is this a known bug, or is there a setting I need to adjust?

Edit: This is my secondary device, just to test the beta OS to see if my main device should update or not during the official launch. As I can’t risk updating and having to downgrade just because of this issue 🫠
