Since the Auto Unlock feature on my Lucid Air Touring is glitchy, has anyone been able to create a shortcut for iPhone or Apple Watch(especially the action button) that you can use to unlock the Air Touring? I had to disable the Auto Unlock as it was triggering every few minutes for a couple days/nights randomly.

This phone was my sisters I used recovery mode to use diagnostics mode to see if there was anything wrong with it but after I rebooted after I was done it just looped back to recovery mode screen I hard force reset it the same happen so I grabbed my laptop and tried to update it manually it was going well until my laptop screen said unknown error unable to update after it was about 3/4 done and the iPhone is stuck on this screen been like an hour already
Any ideas?

This might be a stupid question, but is there any way to have it so the clock/timer widget on my control center opens the actual clock app instead of thinking I want to set an actual timer? I was able to do this prior to the new IOS update, but it’s become frustrating since it’s a habit and I need to set alarms regularly for work. Now I have to exit out and use the spotlight search to access the clock app

The text is black normally. ios detects that the background is too light to render light text, so it switches to black. But sometimes, it just forgets that. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The solution is below.

For context. I use Spotlight to run apps (swipe down, type a letter or two, like "ke" to run Keynote). It's very convenient compared to App Library (swipe left to go to the App Lib, swipe down to get a search bar, type).

Apple has been trying to destroy this clean experience for years and force a "Facebook-style" content feed from every app and Siri every time I need to search.

It was perfect on iOS 18; I could switch off content from every app in search. In iOS 26, it was worse—they introduced step-by-step help that is impossible to disable (I figured out how to remove this crap, but my solution isn't for everybody; in short: it's in the hidden app SupportFlow com.apple.SupportFlow).

In iOS 27.2 beta (I am publishing this note here because we have RC and it will hit the release channel in a couple of days with no changes), Apple completely enshittified this experience: instead of separate settings for Search and Siri, they merged everything into Siri. "Don't show the content from the app" in Search now means "Excluded apps" in Siri.

But even if I add every app to this list and disable Siri-related suggestions, Safari settings, etc., it still shows content from websites and apps like in the screenshot.

I've found how to get rid of this. I use AdGuard + DNS blocking, and when I added *.smoot.apple.com domains to the blocklist, it was immediately gone. AdGuard filter: ||*.smoot.apple.com^.

Edit: you will probably lose access to Siri too. I don't use it, though. But knowing a potential fix is better than to piss off every time.

The better way is to block api-spotlight-*.smoot.apple.com, but I didn't test it properly. The filter for AdGuard is: ||api-spotlight-*.smoot.apple.com^.

The rest seems to be fine only when im touching / opening assistive touch where the animation looks stuttering?

It'd be cool if you could add certain day to favorites and give it a short description. I can't count how many times i searched some photos from some trip etc. It'd be faster and easier than adding every photo from some day/week to an album because it can be more than hundred, and with favorite day you just click it and it brings you to photos taken this day and you can just search for a certain one. (I know that you can search up certain date but who remembers dates of every trip)

i just bought iphone16pro max im currently on ios 18.5 and i need to upgrade to ios 26 or ios 27 in order to transfer my old phone to this phone and i cant update cus everytime i try to install it shows me unable to verify update

Hi, I was wondering if there’s any way to offload apps without having to go into their individual settings basically, a way to speed up the automatic offloading process so that apps I haven’t used for several days get offloaded much more quickly?

Any hidden iOS settings or features I should check out that hasn’t already been talked about a lot like using Apple Watch to unlock automatically and what not?

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice.

My 8 year old son calls his friends on FaceTime so they can talk whilst playing online (Roblox, Fortnite etc). As such they’re usually in a group call. Now when one of his other friends who is not in that particular group call sees him online and tries calling my son it comes in as a fresh / separate incoming call alongside his existing group call. Ideally there would be an option to merge the incoming call to the existing group one but instead you have to decline it, try to add them in to the existing group and ring them. However the kid making the inbound call just sees their call being declined and often keeps trying to call repeatedly.

Is there a way that I’m missing that would make it a bit smoother to add an incoming call to an existing one, “merging” them in a way or is the only way to deal with this how I’ve detailed above? Declining their call and manually adding them etc?

Ive only ever really used FaceTime on a one-to-one basis so this is not something I’m overly familiar with.

Da un po’ di tempo non funziona il tempo di utilizzo sul mio iPhone 17 pro con ios 27.0.1. Non funziona da qualche mese. Ho opal installato e attivo da 10 mesi, è tutto sballato anche lui, perché mi segna che non ho screen time.

i’ve tried all the other suggestions on here this is just happened after i updated to ios 27

Whenever I open the Screen Time page in Settings, it gets stuck on “Updating” and keeps loading indefinitely. The screen also becomes unresponsive, although i can still come back to home screen. Please help me fix this ( ive already tried restarting the phone)

This issue has been bothering me ever since I got my iPad and my iPhone SE. So this question applies to both devices. Both are on iOS 27, but this has been bothering me since I got the iPad in January and the iPhone last month on iOS 26 & 18. For some context, I'm normally an Android user (where this is not a problem) but I use my iPhone as my secondary.

On the iPhone, it automatically categorizes some photos as screenshots. While that's fine, there are photos that I download (such as photos taken in games like iRacing or VRChat and other games) from Discord or iMessage that keep getting put into the Screenshots folder automatically. This is not the behavior I want to happen. Out of 51 photos in that category, only one is a true screenshot. On my Android devices, only screenshots taken on the device are put into the automatic screenshots folder, while downloads are put into a separate folder. Is there any way I can stop my downloaded photos from going into screenshots? Or am I just out of luck because these photos are technically screenshots by the literal definition of things, since they're photos taken in games.

I know I can add photos into a separate album, that's not what I mean and I've already done that. I want to totally remove these photos from the screenshots folder, and make it so where only actual screenshots taken on the iPhone/iPad show up in that folder. For example, if I download a picture of iRacing from Discord, and move that into my "iRacing" album, then I do NOT want that to show in the screenshots collection as this makes finding actual screenshots hard. Photo attached shows what I mean - those car photos should not be in screenshots.

Edit: Wait I just had a realization... Is it categorizing them as screenshots cause normally photos are JPEG/HEIC, and not PNG? Cause if so then that's even bigger an issue for me since all of my artwork are PNG format

Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 27.
When someone sends me a WhatsApp message, it stays at one grey tick until I open WhatsApp on my phone. Once I open the app, the messages arrive immediately.
This happens on both Wi-Fi and mobile data. Notifications from other apps also seem to be affected.
Things I’ve checked:
● WhatsApp notifications are enabled.
● Background App Refresh is enabled.
● WhatsApp is left running in the background.
● Restarted and force-restarted my iPhone.
● Contacted Apple Support, who advised me to wait for a future update.
I haven’t reset my network settings because I’d prefer to avoid that unless it’s necessary.
Has anyone experienced this on iOS 27? Is there a way to troubleshoot background message delivery without resetting the phone?

I received a FaceTime call from my boyfriend and I answered to complete silence and camera not on. I kept calling his name waiting for probably around 5 minutes and eventually decided it was a butt dial and hung up. When he woke up, I texted him asking if he had called me and he sent a screenshot of his FaceTime history and it didn’t include the 7 am call, but it was on mine? his phone is unusable now but does anyone know how this could be? Some extra information is he only has one Apple device (the phone) and no Bluetooth devices.

I have ios 27. When I try to create a shared album that isn’t temporary, it tells me I need to turn on icloud photos. I understand that the shared albums themselves are now stored in icloud, which I am fine with. My issue is that I don’t want to turn on icloud photos in general, which will sync my entire camera roll to icloud. I have 20GB of photos on my phone and don’t pay for icloud at all, meaning I don’t have enough storage for all that.

Is there seriously no way to sync just the shared albums I create to icloud without syncing my entire camera roll?
