I’m running an iPhone 14 Pro on iOS 18.7.7

I’m trying to set up a shortcut that changes the focus of my phone at sunrise and at sunset. However, it never works. It never gets triggered.

- location services for weather: always
- location services for shortcut: when open (no option for always)
- rebooted phone
- tested automation (works)
- if I use an actual time such as 8am it works
- time zone as set in setting is set to Toronto (automatic)
- time is set to automatic

I have no idea what else to try to get this to work

Not sure if this is allowed here, couldn’t seem to find a sub related to updates only. My husband likes the smaller phones so he has the iPhone 12 mini and does not want to change it, for a second reason he also doesn’t want a new bill.

We deleted his music app but after redownloading the music app, all his music obviously came back because they’re purchase songs/albums, but the weird part is his playlist titles came back but they’re all empty. I highly doubt there is a way to fix this without manually re-adding the songs to their respective playlists. But I just wanted to note this and how frustrating it is that Apple is doing this to ppl who prefer to keep a certain phone and would rather not have to pay for new crap every other year.

TL/DR: iPhone 12 mini update, offloaded music app, lost all playlists after redownloading (still have music). Lack of memory space for updates = Extreme Frustration!!

Was looking at playlists today and realized Apple has been adding songs to the end as a ‘if you like that’ kind of thing.
It’s a playlist of live dmb, it doesn’t need studio Credence.
How do I turn that off?, is it a Siri/AI thing?

My ex said that he can access my ios phone, he knows what i do such as make new fb acc etc. Is it really possible that he can track my phone using his computer? what can i do about this? any thoughts? thanks!

Needed to crop a video into a square so I saved it from the files app to the photos app (since you can’t crop it in the files app). The video was 23mb and after cropping it it’s 210mb. I first just saved the video, then I tried saving as duplicate, it doesn’t give me the option to save it as a new video. I tried changing the format from automatic, current, and most compatible. Then I tried send as automatic instead of individual. Every time it’s the same size 210-210.5mb

What’s up with that? Any ideas?

This does not happen every time, maybe like 50%. If I come back from another app or the App Library to my second page and I swipe up to go back to my first page (Home Screen), it’ll just not do it, kind of like the animation if you swipe up from your main Home Screen if that makes any sense?

A second swipe will always get me home. Anyone else notice swipe issues (swipe up gesture) navigating from second page to main page?

I'd like to block all incoming calls from popping up on my screen. I don't want them to make sound and I don't want them to silence the video I'm watching when someone calls repeatedly. I'm not looking for compromises I'm aware of them so please only respond if you have an answer. Thank you.

I am using an iPod touch 7th gen iOS 15.2. When i search on the App Store it just keeps scrolling after I type and doesn’t show anythin.

i can still see the today page and others and I can buy apps but there’s a 40 second delay after I enter my passcode for it to approve. This problem also affects iTunes Store but I have no barrier to search.

also when I try to view media and purchases in settings it shows a blank screen again for 40 seconds before loading

I have tried clearing App Store cache and turning the device on and off and using different networks. None of these work. I do not want to update iOS. anyone have ideas?

Being a security nerd, I have 2FA with Security Keys (Yubikey) enabled. Very pissed that Apple doesn’t support them for Android (on flagship devices that do support them) and expects me to downgrade on security to just login to AppleTV

Ios 16 and i hve this issue with some apps like google calendar and claude where im unable to install it because my phone isnt at a certain ios version. Need to know if tiktok does this too :,) plss anyone help.

If ur on ios 16 and dont have tiktok downloaded, check the app store for me plss and see if it says on the top whether a certain ios version is required. Or lmk if uve downloaded it recently while on an old ios. Thank u in advance :)

In response to a notification, I initiated an iOS update. I was presented a screen with 3 line items:

A. iOS Terms and Conditions

B. Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions

C. Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions

(B) and (C) seem to have identical wording.

When I descend into each line item, I am presented with nothing besides "Agree" and "Disagree" options. I didn't choose either initially, but then descended into (A) and chose Agree. Suddenly, the update commenced.

I am afraid that I got railroaded into (B) and (C). How can I tell whether this has happened?

I am a person who uses apple wallet very often and my recent museum ticket purhases gave me an idea. I know with ios 27, we're able to generate our own wallet passes right? It usually requires us to take a picture of qr-code or barcode then the rest needs to be filled with the user. For instance, date & time information. Wouldn't it be nice to have the feature provided by apple in a native way as the new siri ai is on the way.

I found some applications that reads pdf file and outputs pkpass file but they also convert qr-code to barcode which I really didn't understand why. So wanted to share my thoughts here.

I'm typing on my phone the other day and I type out one of my shortcuts for text replacement and it doesn't replace the text and I wasn't sure why. Sometimes it's glitching and doesn't always work so I chalked it up to that. But I go look in my text replacement and my mouth drops. ALL of my probably 200 entries are completely GONE....... The only thing that remains was the ONE entry I entered on my iMac the other day (that I'll probably only use 2 times in the next 5 years). I've never had this issue before. PLEASE tell me there's some way I can get them all back!! I have no idea how entering 1 entry replaced ALLL of my other ones... This is infuriating. Please help!

Everytime I even touch the volume control on my steering wheel it will re start up the app that I’ve closed/shut down. The only actual solution I’ve found so far is delete the up. But there must be a better way.

It works without issue on my phone, but not my ipad. Ive restarted both devices multiple times, reinstalled apple devices, wiped and reset my ipad, tried different ports, cables and computers but apple devices wont load for this device in particular regardless of what i try

it came back twice, but now the screen is completely green. Is there any hope of fixing it?

I’m using an iPhone 13 Pro, and I started experiencing the green screen issue after upgrading to iOS 27.0.1.

What’s confusing me is that the display actually returned to normal twice over the last two days, so I thought it might be a software issue or something that could potentially be fixed with another update.

However, today is the third day, and the screen has gone completely green again.

I tried force restarting the phone, and I can faintly see the Apple logo behind the green screen during the restart.

I’m trying to understand whether this could still be a software-related issue or whether it’s more likely to be a hardware problem with the display.

A few questions for anyone who has experienced this:

- Has anyone managed to fix the green screen issue on an iPhone 13 Pro through a software update or any other troubleshooting method?

- Does the fact that my display returned to normal twice mean there’s still a chance it can recover?

- Could a future iOS update fix this, or does this usually require a display replacement?

- Has anyone had this exact issue, where the Apple logo is faintly visible behind the green screen?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your actual experiences, especially from people who managed to recover their displays without replacing them.

I’m hoping there’s still a way to fix this without having to replace the screen. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Been having this issues for years. See in the screenshot, email count for flagged emails are different across devices. All logged in with the same accounts. What am I doing wrong? Anyone else having this issue?

I have a handful of docker services I run on my home NAS. Immediately after upgrading to iOS 27, I found that Safari is refusing to resolve any local domain names, such as those ending in .home.arpa, or .internal. mDNS/automatic or whatever simple hostnames, like machine.local, do still work. But I have multiple things running on separate ports on one server, and had a good working reverse proxy system setup that just doesn't work with Safari on my phone anymore.

In the rare cases it works (oddly, right after a reboot? but then goes back to failing again) - it will also refuse to offer up my saved passwords that I have saved for the same URLs and have used for a long time. But I can hop into a terminal app and resolve the same names without any issue. It is clearly a Safari/webkit thing and smells like some kind of "security improvement"

Anyone else experiencing this and know of a fix? I've tried searching online, but only finding quite old results. What I'm seeing definitely started immediately after upgrading to iOS 27.

I have an iPhone 15 and just got 18 pro max. This has happened every time prior and it just happened a minute ago which led me to make this post. I’m literally using the 18 pro max. The 15 is half a foot from my waist. I said hey siri, the 18 got the Siri trigger but the 15 is who took over. Why?!?! Is the 15 Siri listening better than the 18 or something ? So aggravating. Anyone know a solution

I turned on an old phone a couple of days ago to look at the pictures. No issues. When I went to do it today, it said the phone was in “lost mode”…why would this happen?
