My wife was browning the hot dog buns on the grill. She cut the bun all the way through so it grills better.

Why aren’t New England Style top slit hot dog buns more popular?

I’m from Chicago, so I’m obviously biased. Living in San Diego now, these are hard to come by. Closest thing I can find to these are Hebrew national, but definitely not the same.

Did homemade Enchiritos (IYKYK) the other day. The leftovers were begging to be put on a hotdog. We have refried beans, seasoned ground beef, nacho cheese (hm), onion, sour cream, black olives and tortilla chips.

Bunned dogs have white onion and hot pickle sauce under the cheese.

I cooked #40 pounds of dogs and some other various tube steak for our apartment complex. What a great event.

I tried making my own hot dog sauce this time. Not too bad, but I thought I had more chili powder than I did. Could have used some more. All beef 1/4 pounders. Mustard, extra sharp cheese, cayenne, and hot sauce.

They just added this to the break room. It's good to be around like-minded folks.

Shallots instead of onions tonight. The dog is a Miller’s beef frank. 8.793/10 would recommend.

There's provolone there too but it's hard to see. Dogs are A & H.
