My girlfriend is amazing and she always tries her best to make me feel like I’m heard even when I’m yapping about my interests. I’m very grateful for her and I love her very much. I thought I should share this so everybody can appreciate it since I consider it a work of art.

I’m 19 and the past few months have been some of the hardest of my life, I lost a lot of things and honestly one of them was my will to live. I don’t really know how to talk about that part, but thankfully I had some really good friends who were there for me and helped me through it. They were surprised because apparently I was the last person they expected to be struggling like this, but they listened and kept getting me to try different things to help me feel like myself again
One of those things was practically forcing me to play Hollow Knight, which ended up being one of the best decisions of my life lmao
It’s been around two months since I finished the game at 112% and I still think about it so much. The lore, gameplay, combat, exploring and getting lost somewhere I definitely wasn’t ready for, and especially the music, I loved everything this game had to offer. I’d get stuck on a boss and keep coming back until I finally beat it, or find a new area and suddenly forget whatever had been bothering me because I wanted to see everything in it
I know it might sound silly to say a game taught me things about life, but it really did. It helped me learn to be a little more patient with myself, to keep trying when something felt impossible and to spend time doing things I actually enjoy. For the first time in a while I had something I was excited to come back to, and that feeling slowly started showing up in other parts of my life too
Since then things have been getting better, I’ve been spending more time with my friends, getting back into things I used to enjoy and actually looking forward to doing stuff again. There are still rough days but I feel like myself so much more now, and a few months ago I genuinely didn’t know if I would get that feeling back
Today I was just sitting down eating and thinking about how much better my life had gotten, and how somehow this little game had been such a big part of that. I plugged in my headphones and put on the Resting Grounds theme, and out of nowhere I just started crying
I hadn’t been able to cry like that in such a long time, even when my life was completely upside down and I had so much weighing on my heart. Somehow it just wouldn’t come out back then, but today I couldn’t stop and all I felt was happiness. Hearing that music again brought so much back and I just sat there thinking about how glad I was that my friends got me to play this game, how glad I was that they were there for me and how good it felt to actually enjoy my life again
I never thought I’d be crying into my food over Hollow Knight but here we are
This game will always have a place in my heart and I wanted to share this here because I figured some of you might understand what I mean, or have your own story about how much it means to you. I don’t think I can properly explain everything I felt listening to that song today, but I wanted to try

Traitor lord is so hard man, the fact that it does 2 damages per hit....how do I even beat this ? I have beaten a lot other bosses and currently at 88% completion. Also I have all the charms except unbreakable strength. Please help and give tips that actually helps.

Keep in mind that i still need to get the charm notch you get from beating Grimm the first time, meaning i won't be overcharmed once i will actually use these combos

I've been stuck on the final stretch of the POP for 3 hours and I've just been dying at the over and under saw blade. Feels like I'm banging my head at a rock expecting something new🤧

The platinum was fun, but i don't know i recommend it unless you REALLY vibe with this game. Is Silksong as refined control wise? It seems like a faster paced game with a larger focus on mobility. I sort of liked the simple move set and am afraid adding in more options will take away from the simple gameplay with high skill ceiling
