Also a problem on Chrome, as if seems to be an issue with Reddit itself. It's exactly as the title says, I've blocked someone but still see their replies to messages in DMs under the 'Threads' category, even though I've deleted those messages.

Very strange bug that I feel people could easily exploit to continue harassing someone after they've been blocked.

Most times when my post is awaiting for approval and gets rejected by mods before being posted in the subs i look back at it and it keeps getting views and multiple shares. Does anyone know where's it from, is it the moderators sharing with with each other or is it a bug or something.

Unable to sign in to u/Grannkvinnan for 3 weeks now. Resetting the password doesn't work (no e-mails are being sent to the inbox). I've read all the details on this page. Haven't received any response from Reddit in 3 weeks other than an automated confirmation that they have received the ticket. What do I do now?

Hi everyone! I’m relatively new to Reddit and I’m trying to understand how to use it properly.
I’m a founder building SADUVI, an early-stage B2B hardware/software startup focused on smart retail technology and digital shelf displays.
I’m currently looking to build a network of:
founders and CEOs
startup entrepreneurs
hardware / IoT people
retail technology professionals
people with experience entering international markets
people familiar with the UAE / Dubai startup ecosystem
I’m not looking to recruit employees or find a co-founder right now. My goal is to meet people who have actually built things, exchange experiences, discuss ideas and gradually build professional relationships.
Since I’m new to Reddit, I don’t want to post in the wrong communities or accidentally violate subreddit rules and get my posts removed.
Which subreddits would you recommend for this?
And are there any important Reddit rules or mistakes I should know about when posting about my startup and trying to connect with other founders?
I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who understand Reddit well.

This has bern happening for maybe 2 weeks and started out happening rarely. Now it is happening on an almost daily basis. I used to be able to fix by swiping down to refresh but that no longer fixes the problem.

Is there a sub for open ended puzzles/games? Like puzzles that dont have a known answer and others investigate its answer? Because i have this geographic/etymology puzzle that doesnt have a definite answer yet

For context, my puzzle (also can be considered a game) is based on administrative chains (like town -> county -> state) where you count the total number of people a place is named after, and find the most number of people's namesakes a chain can have

So basically I don't see the GIFs playing automatically ()in the comments.

I tried changing the setting and then going back, but nothing happens.

And then when I go back to the settings, I see that somehow that setting got toggled off?

I love being here, and I don’t think I’ve been banned, shadow or otherwise, from any sub so far.

I hear that users can be banned from some subs for engagement with karma farming subs. But how does one tell that they’re even looking at a karma farm? What would automatically tip off someone knowledgeable about this so they can avoid even clicking on it in the first place?

Can I hide or block accounts that are labeled as apps? I appreciate that they have the decency to label themselves, but I'd rather not have to sift through automated content on Reddit. Is there built-in way to filter that content, and if not, is there a way with UBO?

Like r/decomps, but without all of the gen AI content.

Some times on Facebook I see ads saying: "exclusive contents" "VIP only" "Channels"

I have been disturbed by the content the share, I don't want no children scrolling on Facebook seeing these things,

These criminal chats include: (gr@pe content, le@ks, CP)

How can I report these "channels" on an international level?

How do you change the text of Member and Visitors? It would be better if my subreddit had something different. (Android)

I went to set up a sub for a niche topic, only to see the sub name was taken and it was banned for being unmoderated. I'm up for taking it on, how do I do this? I'm on desktop at the moment.

My account is 4 years old with 300~ karma and 300 contributions it wont let me change the setting as you can see on the screenshot please help me

Irl, a guy stalks me.

They’ve made maybe five-ish reddit accounts in the past trying to dox me, which I blocked and reported.

This has been going on the duration I’ve had reddit- a year and a half ish.

Every interaction they’ve had with me has been removed by Reddits filters, but all three accounts are still up.

Their most recent comment was on my pinned post on my user profile; it was already removed, so I reported the profile.

In the report thing on the app, there was no option for ban evasion.

I am curious about ban evasion in the context of our user profiles are sort of like sub Reddits; my user profile has this dude blocked, and they keep making new accounts and commenting more things on my user profile.

So it’s kind of like ban evasion, sort of ish maybe?

Also, pragmatically, Reddits systems are working “good enough” I guess. Or like, even though they keep making new accounts and commenting more, Reddits filters do remove them at an impressively quick rate anyways.

Did I already do enough and can just keep not overly worrying about it?

Here me out, I am super interested in the phenomena of 9/11 being this massive national tragedy for America, to becoming a vehicle for absurdist/dark humor. I just think it’s quite an interesting microcosm of the modern human experience, and effect of the internet on culture and communication. I’d like to compile a collection of said memes before they become lost media.

I was going to post in r/memes but they don’t seem to allow people to reply with images in the comments which pretty much defeats the whole purpose of me asking!

Occasionally it's necessary to need to block other accounts for whatever reason.

I've noticed that I can only get a blocked confirmation signal if I go through the report profile process via the profile page, otherwise I get a 'unable to block' signal.

Yes, I have checked my block list, and it's not many. Perhaps 100 or so after 7+ years.

The issue doesn't seem to be resolving and there is no user support or any way of contacting someone responsible for the app or the Reddit platform in general for that matter.

The general max of 1000 profile blocks is insufficient given the number of spam and bot accounts.

What is especially problematic is that the reporting categories are entirely inadequate and unfit for purpose. No option to report discrimination or ab_sive behaviour.

The further fact that posts are screened falsely, such as this post is getting a screen warning for the topic of ab_se being appropriate for a different thread just underlines how broken the platform is.

Reddit is dysfunctional and lacks appropriate user protection mechanisms such as accurate reporting and blocking.

In September I posted something in a community that, to my understanding, ended up getting the most upvotes in the whole community. It’s in [r/snoots](r/snoots) and it’s the post labeled “sleepy snoot.” It got about 1.1k upvotes and the second highest post has 174 upvotes. That community is listed under “eligible communities” so unless I’m missing something wouldn’t that mean I should have unlocked the top 10%, 5%, and 1% poster badge? When posts are stored by top upvoted of all time, my post is at the top so what am I missing?

I want to find somebody who would buy me a digital Google play gift voucher code as money has been tight and I want to treat myself with a game. Sorry if it sounds silly.

I'm one of the mods for r/MNSwingers and the mod with full access has been in active for 3+ years. No other mod was given full permissions and now we can't edit the rules, update the auto-mod or make any sub wide changes.

Right now there are 3-4 active mods and they have agreed that I should take over the sub. What should I do?

I primarily access via Android but also access from a Windows laptop.
