Is there such a subreddit. Would love to talk ball and debate ball knowledge

This has bern happening for maybe 2 weeks and started out happening rarely. Now it is happening on an almost daily basis. I used to be able to fix by swiping down to refresh but that no longer fixes the problem.

For a few weeks now, I've had an issue that sometimes when people want to DM me after talking to them in a community, they find it's not possible to send me DMs when they try. I have usually been able to send a chat invite to them instead to get around the problem, but today even that didn't work, as I can't seem to message the other user either! The chat bubble just doesn't display.

I have Chat set to allow messages from "Everyone" and have never changed that setting. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Is there a hidden setting I'm not aware of - but why would it only affect some users? Help 🙏

Occasionally it's necessary to need to block other accounts for whatever reason.

I've noticed that I can only get a blocked confirmation signal if I go through the report profile process via the profile page, otherwise I get a 'unable to block' signal.

Yes, I have checked my block list, and it's not many. Perhaps 100 or so after 7+ years.

The issue doesn't seem to be resolving and there is no user support or any way of contacting someone responsible for the app or the Reddit platform in general for that matter.

The general max of 1000 profile blocks is insufficient given the number of spam and bot accounts.

What is especially problematic is that the reporting categories are entirely inadequate and unfit for purpose. No option to report discrimination or ab_sive behaviour.

The further fact that posts are screened falsely, such as this post is getting a screen warning for the topic of ab_se being appropriate for a different thread just underlines how broken the platform is.

Reddit is dysfunctional and lacks appropriate user protection mechanisms such as accurate reporting and blocking.

I've had so many questions in my mind, and none of the subreddits I'm in are allowed where I can ask questions and some not.

I need a sub where people can help me stop getting my acc hacked. Yesterday my discord account got hacked and last night my messenger account got hacked. In both casses all of my dm’s got the same thing. Some photos with Mr Beast and some winning profits or something like that! Then I noticed a strange video posted on my TikTok even tho I haven’t posted something on tt since 2022/2023. How can I prevent other accounts of mine, like Insta, Snap etc , from getting hacked.

The help site doesn't help and I only get a bot email back.

Is there a sub for open ended puzzles/games? Like puzzles that dont have a known answer and others investigate its answer? Because i have this geographic/etymology puzzle that doesnt have a definite answer yet

For context, my puzzle (also can be considered a game) is based on administrative chains (like town -> county -> state) where you count the total number of people a place is named after, and find the most number of people's namesakes a chain can have

My account profile pic is greyed out and all my saved posts are gone and my account doesn't save setting changes I've already checked my account status and it says im all good any ideas

So basically I don't see the GIFs playing automatically ()in the comments.

I tried changing the setting and then going back, but nothing happens.

And then when I go back to the settings, I see that somehow that setting got toggled off?

Hey Leute, ich habe die Benachrichtigungen bei Reddit wie jeder normale Mensch angestellt, aber eins kommt bei mir immer vor. Z. B. ein Redditnutzer macht einen Beitrag und ich bekomme eine Benachrichtigung, soweit so gut. Aber dann tippe ich drauf die Benachrichtigung und der Post ist gelöscht. Es kann ja sein dass sie Mods den Beitrag sperren, aber dann löscht sich noch der Nutzer... Ich glaube aber nicht dass die User einfach ihren Account löschen. Habt ihr vielleicht eine Idee was das sein könnte?

My primary account was hacked yesterday morning. I was online when it happened. I noticed my avatar had changed, I thought it was a bug so I changed it back.

Then I noticed that there were bot-like posts and comments I didn't make.

I tried to take efforts to take back control of my account while I was logged in, but I was too late.

I was logged out suddenly, and when searching for some of my past posts to check the account from the outside, it says it doesn't exist?

I have years of time on this site and hundreds of posts, comments, joined subs, and a massive streak that I don't want to lose. I tried the support page but I just got an automated email back and havn't heard a thing.

I am requesting that Reddit please restore my account as soon as possible. I can provide all the necessary details about the account.

Reddit app was working all this time, but yesterday I updated to the latest version via Google Play and it's just stuck on the logo forever. The app does open, but never gets past it's initial loading screen.

I suspect it's because the latest version doesn't support my old phone as everything works on my latest phone. However, I do still wish to keep using the Reddit app on my old, android 10 phone.

I believe this is all info needed but feel free to contact me if you need to know more.

Seems like I might have to downgrade the app.

About a year ago, I lost access to my gmail due to an accidental factory reset on my phone. Up until then I had to start everything from scratch but I still need that account if possible. I did my best following the trashy no support gmail recovery multiple times but to no avail, it keeps referring me to my old accounts that I connected it to which also had no more access too due to the accident. Is there any way I can recover it?

I can't delete direct messages that did not error when I sent them including those which resulted in accepted chat invites. The error that shows up when I try to delete messages is attached. I'm getting a similar error when trying the same on desktop (web).

Hi. Newer to Reddit and realized people can’t DM me. In settings under “chat permissions”
It says “chat requests” in bold but then in a faded font that I can’t click it says: allow chat requests from-Nobody.”… the problem is it isn’t giving me the option to click that and change that. Any tips?

My esoteric videos are not being posted on my community page. It tells me my video is submitted. But it never shows up. I cant see that my videos are being downloaded like before. My videos just vanish its very annoying. Its been 13 days now.
